  1. So far, my partner and I are watching the new Beavis & Butthead series, and, we're waiting for Wednesday. It's going to be A. MAZE. ING. We're also waiting to watch Game of Thrones, and House of The Dragon
  2. Depends. Do you think it's too slender? Are you basing it off yourself/your ideal body?
  3. To be perfectly honest, as someone who was originally here in 2003 and came back in 2015.. Yes, it does. If you surround yourself with friends and things. Some individuals may not like SL, but quite frankly, nobody's forcing them to stay. Not really. SL is what you make it. Welcome to the grid. Have fun, and welcome to the madness.
  4. Belleza isn't going anywhere. Chill out. There's WAY more options for that outdated line than most others. I have a Legacy body, and while yes, I love the quality, there aren't a ton of options that aren't of an adult nature. Instead, I see Kupra garbage, eBody, and other off the wall bodies as well as the long time mainstays - SLink, Maitreya, and Belleza. So, no, Bell isn't going anywhere.
  5. A meaningful experience? I don't even know what they're asking, by that. SecondLife is a place I come, to earn money and (when she's on) spend at least some "physical" time with each other while we have to be physically apart in real life. SL is, in essence, just a tool. A thing to use to reach a goal. Since I'm disabled, and can't work, it serves to earn enough money to earn a there and back trip between our houses, as well as a few other things if necessary. Unlike others, I never had an interest in getting into a relationship with someone on SL. The fact that my fiancee is someone from SL does not withstand that. We technically met before I rejoined SL, so, that doesn't count. I don't get on SL for the 'fun' and games. I get on there to conduct business and earn the monetary gains I need, to afford trips to see the person that holds my little black heart. SL's games have zero interest to me, at all, nor do the social areas. I'm anxiety ridden, among other things, so, I don't enjoy large crowds and I hate being on voice with most people. However, having read the "why SL" part... Secondlife is a virtual world. It's not so much a game as an extension of the real world. Secondlife, honestly, is a terrible program to use, to try to defend gaming, but, I do get it. For me, considering how severe my anxiety actually is, though, SL allows me to listen to music, be with friends, and go places even when it's (like now) WAY too hot to do anything in person. As for the broad spectrum of gaming, my answer is this. I have pretty bad hand-eye coordination. But, since I started gaming, when I was a little kid, in the 1990s (I know, I'm older than some of the people on SL lol Anyway..), my hand-eye coordination improved. I began to learn various different words from languages such as Spanish and things. I don't consider games to be addictive, at least they aren't to me, but, I can see why some would think that. It's because of the pleasure center of the brain that one becomes addicted to the various things they may or may not become addicted to. Some crave pain, some crave pleasure, some crave sweets, some crave alcohol, or whatever else, sex probably included. They're not so much addicted to the 'drug' they're using, they're chasing the feeling the thing gives them. They're chasing the 'high' in other words. That's why you have people trying to say things like "Oh they played Grand Theft Auto, and they later stole a car. We must ban violent video games" or well.. I'm sure you've seen at least a few other games. GTA, and at least a handful others that I can't remember off the top of my head. But, ultimately, they're horrendously wrong. Just because you play a game like God of War, Grand Theft Auto, Beyonetta, or Rumble Roses, or whatever else, that doesn't make you succeptable to stealing cars, becoming a blood thirsty, psychopathic maniac, someone that runs around using guns and swords attacking people, or wrestling in a bikini or whatever. The thing that does make you succeptable to those thigns are how you're brought up, how you were treated growing up, previous abuses you may have suffered, and other things that would more suggest a certain parental failure as is often the case in various situations.
  6. I have several. An alt that represents my other self. An alt that acts as my bank/L$ holding wallet. An alt that represents another of my faces. An alt that represents one more of my faces. But, no matter which alt I use, my partner knows all about them and they're all partnered with hers. It is necessity.
  7. I have around 85k items, and, my partner has over 100k on one of their alts. I know it's not good to have A TON, but, not sure what the upper limit is.
  8. Thank you! They're from [Renegade] V... something was the name. I thought they did too. Lol
  9. Instead of an answer, I shall gift you with but a metaphorical a box. A box, you see, which has both answers in it. The answer is just as much yes as it is no, so long as you don't open the box. The only thing I can say, for certain.. Is Definitely maybe.
  10. Of course it isn't dead. Also, rather a tiny friend list as opposed to one with over 200 names on it.
  11. Ahh yes, Schrodinger's question. I'll answer it with Schrodinger's answer. Is SecondLife more, or less, sociable now as opposed to before? Yes. It is both more, and less sociable. The answer you get, depends on the question you ask. For example, I'm a business person. I'm not here to just chat all day. Plus, that triggers my anxiety.
  12. I guess so. I'm glad my early days and years are nothing but a distant memory now.
  13. Not a difficult thing to do, that is.
  14. Because of the following reasons:- 1. It violates the T.o.S. 2. Nobody wants a random 1 month old account. 3. See 1 and 2.
  15. This is the last I'm saying, on this subject. I use a CasperSafe orb, that detects people whom enter my parcel. It does have eject features and things, but it's set for a "fair" delay. Then is my large and foreboding manor, positioned in the center of said parcel. If you can see my manor, you can see enough. You can even look atop my manor, and see a security box. Since that box sits in the exact center of my parcel (roughly a 120x64 area), you will have a few meters before you breach the box's sensors and are escorted to the exit. This also means that you have roughly a 31 meter height to get to, to fly over without aggravating said orb. Then, if you're still bold enough to continue towards the manor, the CasperSafe orbs do give a dialogue box of warning, you cannot say that you didn't see the warning to leave because of encroaching upon someone's home. You would have gotten the dialogue box, and you would've seen a large building sitting ahead, with zero "enter here!" signs or anything. You would have then chosen to come ever closer of your own volition. Therefor, since it would have taken you easily several seconds to move forward, and thus, to see the dialogue boxes, and thus, the ample time to realize "Hey... this might be someone's home... Maybe I should leave..." if you then, continue forward, trying to enter the manor, then, you have had ample time to change direction. You could have EASILY changed direction. You chose not to. Then, there's the box on top of the manor in the center of my parcel, which will ensure that you leave. All in all, you will have had easily 5-15 seconds before coming within range of the house orb. So, therefor, reasonable. Have a nice day.
  16. OR.... Perhaps, it's YOU, whom aren't entitled to go wherever YOU decide, just because YOU want to. Perhaps, it's YOU, that should not intrude into other people's homes uninvited. Perhaps, then, YOU would not be causing them to need security orbs.
  17. Lol Not how that works. I live on a parcel that happens to be "part of the greater online world" not because I want random intruders, I do not. I live on said parcel, because it's cheap. A parcel, that, for the third and last time.... 1. Has ZERO roads around it. 2. Has ZERO airports around it. 3. Has ZERO waterways around it. 4. Has a literal mountain/wall behind it. But hey, if you expect me to pay MORE to be on a private estate parcel, just because you're a little bit upset, are you going to pay for that? Not likely.
  18. I'd say I'm amazed that you ignore my response, just to attempt to downplay what I say, in some feeble attempt to make yourself feel somehow "superior," but, all you've really done is disappoint me. I will no longer dignify you, with responses other than this. If you do not want to be ejected from my home, do not come to my home uninvited. Now, good day.
