I love this topic!!!! Wearable anything is my first choice because I’m a pretty bad driver. The quality and awesome animations in Consignment and Culprit and What Next stores have blown me away! Consignment also has some wonderful HUDs which need a Rez area for beautiful drivealbles which can also carry a passenger. How did I almost forget the Teegle horses!! @Leora Jacobus put a link above! Thank you very much for your generosity @Teager for setting out Rezzers for the Solstice celebrations on Fairgrounds as well as for your creativity 🥰 @Alyona Su has convinced me I must try her vehicle recommendations also! MadPea has golf carts and also many wearables and even wearable Hot Air Balloons which are just ideal around Bellisseria. There’s a whole thread for fave wearables which have some great suggestions:

Totally off topic, but did you know you can switch models of the home within theme by clicking the camper pic on a pole? Campers have 8 models and also you can change the orientation to get the best view for your chosen model 🥰 there have been some brilliant suggestions here in this thread, many of which are new to me and ever so helpful. I hope some of them will be your ‘magic’ and remember to save those settings in prefs. Good luck and don’t give up 🤩 because Bellisseria is just too beautiful. ⛵️🏡

Could we also do this by making ourselves some Scarlett Ohara clothes (dress made from curtains, hehehe)? Some patchwork system layer items to carry your fave textures under your normal clothes or under your mesh body?

I think it will always be open for sailing. Usually if LL expands or adds, they leave a channel of protected water between ⛵️. Oh and Congratulations. My goodness that is a stunning location!!!

I think at noon... but you can do them anytime! I just save the Notecards and then do the routes at our convenience. ⛵️

Matty, there are very nice small 1 and 2 person boats to try at TYC (Tradewinds Yacht Club for Free! I use the arrow keys to move and was sailing in 5 minutes and fell in love with it! There’s also a weekly Friday Cruise (not a race, just a sail ) with a nice Cruisette HUD which gives the LM waypoints to sail to. The Cruise routes can be used any time as a well checked route of clear sailing. I have kept the routes for a couple of years and will pass them to you. Within a week I felt ready to get a bigger boat and went for a Loonetta, which I adore and you can carry over 20 passengers! We’d love to take you for a sail anytime and show you the ropes, the Loonetta is a lovely slowish ride and has a nice low LI also. Eat extra spinach!! ;D

@Rolig Loon We’ve seen your green dot around many of our fave spots to chill out and often read about those spots with the most amazing pics and tales of your adventures it makes us want to go back for closer examination because you see so many things we miss! I think the smaller gatherings are much better suited to our current state than big parties but for some reason they seem harder to get ppl out to than a big party sometimes. Some will always look for a party and some will always avoid them and I guess we’re in between. We love big parties sometimes (about once a week or 2 weeks, but more often we like a party of 2 or 3 or 4 or a few more, some good tunes and good conversation. We are so lucky to have something in a correct size space for nearly everyone in beautiful Bellisseria and I’m sure a good way to utilize our many lovely public spaces will come out.... and maybe in this thread of good ideas and the best of intentions 😁

Doc and I will be back to some partying again soon as we recover (Doc from a small surgery affecting his ability to speak, which is important for us ...to hear his lovely Brit voice as a DJ ) but we’re not sure how regular it will be as we have become spoiled and lazy doing as little we can! There is always some kind of an issue with gathering in public spaces it seems (although we personally have been lucky to have not been caught up in it and avoid it all costs!) 1. Unscheduled hopeful gathering in a picnic area or a town square or a city centre? Think about this in RL. Would you go to a park and set out your picnic and expect ppl to come to it? How would you get them to come there? Try the Bellisseria Events Group! Chat and see if anyone would like to come! In RL 30 people in a city block is not excessive but in SL that is half a Region capacity! 15 seems much more manageable! With thousands of Homes... 15 ppl having 15 parties in 15 regions is still comfortable for most Residents but 15 is enough to attract more very quickly. If ppl see 15 dots on the map they get curious and the number grows... Until 30 are suddenly there and is a lot of work for the servers, and for everyone’s pc as well, but SL IS capable of handling it without a doubt! 2. Scheduled gathering... please, just do it! Pick a time that suits you to do anything (go for a walk, or a bike ride or a swim) and invite some friends from anywhere to come and visit Bellisseria! Say hello to any extras who come along or wander in and invite them to join you and understand if they are just curious and want to observe for a while (just like RL). Bellisseria Events Group allows the Everyone role to post a Notice or have an event, or chat and invite or see if anyone would like to join you for any activity, any size, anytime, anywhere in Bellisseria! 3. Party... please just do it! Pick a date and time, maybe a theme or celebrate an occasion... or make a new occasion and plan for appropriate music or ambience and chat about it! Ask what ppl would like if you don’t know. Remind them to bring friends or a date or a +1 and just have fun! Bellisseria must have some fabulous party planners because we have had more crazy fun here than anywhere in SL before we moved here! 4. Event... please just do it! The Fairgrounds is the place to have these and there is a Calendar to pick your date to reserve for an Event. This continent will be huge and I certainly hope there will be more than one party going on at a time... LotSa Parties ALL the TimE!!! Yay! WhOoOo!!!

We do love to sail and that is the reason we wanted a Houseboat in Bellisseria in the first place. We’re thrilled with the lack of ban lines and 0 second orbs too... those ARE the ultimate perks of sailing around Bellisseria! I have a Looneta which we love and both can sail as Owner can allow access to anyone using a menu. It is the biggest I’m comfortable sailing with lovely for a lazy sailor like me! I have an Ocean Beach catamaran which is also our fave for the great animations but I can only ‘hand-over’ control so I can’t leave it out for my partner to sail. He has a beautiful Sweet Pea with the same ‘hand-over only’ issue, so he can’t leave it out for me to sail either. We most often tend to resort to a wearable instead, especially for sight-seeing, as these won’t go adrift when we pause to chat or admire a view. There is SO MUCH to enjoy around Bellisseria, we often get distracted from our boating to pursue a hike or a bike ride. We also enjoy cruises and go on any we find HUDs or maps for when we get the opportunity. We like to cruise before 2 PM SLT before it gets too late UK time. When Doc takes out a Party Island in any of the sizes he’s experimented with, we always see boats and some just pass or wave or exchange a friendly “Ahoy” and some anchor or moor and party with us for while and some even jump on and join the fun! The highest LI of any of these Party Islands Doc has made is 16 LI, if I remember correctly. Doc and I and most regular Party People around Belli (we have met) seem to know that a low Complexity certainly helps with most lag and for those who can’t enjoy being part of a party in person we encourage them to just listen to the stream wherever they are and chat in IM or Group IM and that’s nearly as much fun especially the fun is shared in pics and .gifs. We hope to be fully recovered and back in FULL PARTY gear by New Year or so and we’re truly excited to party and sail or float all over Belli like the silly 🏴‍☠️ ‘Pirate Radio’ 🏴‍☠️ renegades we are! 🤩😂 hope to see you all out there again soon!

I love that suggestion! Permanent LL owned shops! Perhaps that would encourage new Premiums to create content they can sell also I would like it to connect to Bellisseria somehow, by bridge or Experience Portal or rail... or tunnel! I’d even be excited to ‘commute’ to work! My top choices for future themes would be: 1) Retro Sci-fi; 2) Hillside Mid-century Modern; 3) Super Premium small island homes - 2048 or 4096 sized; 4) Cabins or chalets with big windows and covered porches or decks. I LOVE this topic! 😁 and I love all the ideas and suggestions. Now I’m really thinking about @Fritigern Gothly ‘s floating in the sky houses too! 🥰 Whatever comes I’m quite sure I’ll be as gobsmacked as I have been since the Home Show last March at the quality and ingenuity. I have learned so much about landscaping and decorating watching the progress of Bellisseria! What a thrill it has been to feel so in touch with the Lindens and Moles and see so many Resident suggestions and wishes come true! 💝🤩

Now I really want an Atomic Camper! 😂 What a blast camping in that could be! 😉

Perhaps a better English synonym for “chintzy” in this case would be “frugal” or “economical”. I think Patch is having a bit of pun fun and using a play on the word “chintzy” because it is also describes a very popular Victorian fabric in the Canadian (North American) English language. @Patch Linden is a clever wordsmith! 😉

Not only are you an encyclopædeia of 'Cool Stuff Everyone in SL Should Know' but you also seem to have some kind of Nerd-Magic powers. I can't count how many times I've wished for a way to customize the oft ill-fitting alpha cuts in the HUD and now my wishes appear to have been granted! Hmmm, now I wonder if I can't make a 'toenails only' alpha.... do you happen to know of an infinite colour tinting HUD for toenails? (Forgive me if I ask for too many wishes 🤔) Thank you @Alyona Su !! I agree, walking on tiptoes all the time is just... dangerously unstable 😉
