I love that pic! I think I like cycling around the most because it’s slow enough I have time to look around and pause to admire all the beautiful creations the residents are adding. All I’ve seen has been so impressive and worth all the time, attention and effort it took to provide this new continent!

I probably should have written more clearly A separate no fly no vehicular traffic Premium continent OR an LL House & plot in a skybox over the Protected water above 2000 m OR, etc.

I think I suggested that? In my opinion LL has provided what many people have asked for in the new continent and perhaps it is just that this request has been answered first because it's unique. I don't believe LL will ignore the needs of its many happy existing residents and maybe their needs for updated houses with ban lines will happen soon, too

These are only suggestions for allowing everyone to have what they would like to have (see below)

Perhaps a no-fly, no-vehicular traffic continent, or a space for Premium Homes & lots already in private skyboxes above 2000 m would solve that issue? Maybe those spots could be over 2000 m over top of the Protected water? Perhaps provide a folder of LMs for the Premium Mainland community areas and rez zones, sandboxes if those skybox residents want to also participate in more social activities and maintain very strict privacy in their homes?

I believe such a plan is in place and it certainly seems that LL has been listening to the needs and wants of its residents as this first batch got snapped up in a few hours. I lived in the older LL homes since a few weeks after joining as a Premium Member and figuring out how to get one. I don’t think the old ones were junk but they are packed together quite closely in some areas. My least favourite thing about the old Premium continents was that they weren’t physically connected to each other nor to the other Mainland continents and although they had nice bits of paths and plenty of interesting things to explore the paths just ended and the roads and navigable water ended in VOID, unfinished. They did set a good example of ordinary starter homes with enough options to introduce the possibilities of building whatever you can imagine. I looked for a next step home in a next step neighbourhood of connected similar Regions for ages but there was none I could find so I kept my LL house and rented additional places instead, until my partner introduced me to sailing. Indeed we shopped for ages to find an affordable nice sized plot in a fairly stable seaside mainland Region but we did find a lovely one. You are spot on in that there are many incredibly talented builders in SL ...but with as many different styles! I cannot imagine the enormity of the task of trying to coordinate those volunteer builders into renovating a 300+ Region community. Certainly it is far more efficient to use those resourceful and incredibly talented Moles who have already worked together on many projects for the enjoyment of all. The new continent has proved they know what the users want and how to do a fine job of providing same! So let’s keep telling them what we like and don’t like, need and don’t need, want and don’t want, in the most supportive ways we can and then let them go to it and they will do their best to provide ways for each of us to find our niche and enjoy our Second Life.

1. Rez zones!! 2. Some sort of mild bumper along the VOIDs or even a string of swimming pool floats which will only appear as you get too close, as a visual aid that we’re straying from navigable water would be nice in my opinion. Something not as visually intrusive as those nasty ban lines! As beautiful as the wide open seas appear, that view is very inviting and mesmerizing especially for inexperienced drivers and sailors, in my opinion. 3. Open stage spaces or Premium Member Open stage spaces. 4. Public transit or Premium Member transit I’m very pleased how beautiful and thoughtfully designed this new continent is and looking forward to being part of the new Security system which will hopefully set a fine example of compromise for the good of the community. Maybe there’s a way to make the door locks operate like invisible ban lines, but only allow them to operate within a certain box sized zone like the size of your house?

That is very true Sandy! It takes a lot of time and effort to find seaside with navigable water at a reasonable price. Then also disappointing if navigable water isn't Protected and you end up trapped in those unusable or barely usable places. The LL Houseboats will give every owner a nice spot to have guaranteed protected access to navigable water for as long as they want There are a few boat rez spots on the older Premium Continents but not much navigable water was connected to them... maybe LL will consider sprucing them up a bit as the new ones have been snapped up so fast!

Perhaps some kind Houseboaters will put out temporary use boat-rezzers, if that's allowed or possible?

The LL Houseboats aren't driveable, but you do get a good sized area to rez a drivable boat on your plot. There are some great (and easy to operate) free sailboats inworld which are great to try out and see if you enjoy sailing. I'm quite a terrible driver on roads and tracks in SL, but I happily found I can sail a lot better than I drive! Many marinas and yacht clubs also have 'click and rez' temporary water vehicles which are also a great way to try out boating for free. Fair warning though... once you've tried it and like it, it's really hard NOT to do it! My Inventory organization suffered until the TP and SIM crossing crashes have pushed me back into the Wardrobe! ;D

I think the new Continent is quite beautiful and very thoughtfully made! The buildings seem to have a very high LI so I'm glad that they don't count against the prim allowance. The Traditional Homes are nice to see going for walks, very tidy neighbourhoods and thankfully not too many cars on the streets as I walked around, lol Such a great idea to allow the Residents to choose what style of house using the rezzer! I'm thrilled there's Protected navigable water ALL the way around the new continent that will never get cluttered with ban lines and invisible barriers! I hope the load of the huge migration and influx will calm down soon for some barrier free sailing. Perhaps having such a nice environment will help rouse more interest in sailing and improve the slip rentals on Mainland as I don't think there's a public place for rezzing boats on Bellisseria (none that I've seen so far in my few brief excursions anyway). I'm also very exciting to see there are waterways connecting Bellisseria to Sansara and Jeogeot Continents as well! I look forward to some great new Cruise routes and yacht club Events... soon as those feeble and unstable SIM crossing crashes and teleport failures are resolved. Wistful thinking for a while longer!

When you say 'crash' does the viewer just close straight to your pc desktop or do you get a "You have been logged out" message? Straight to desktop has been happening to me off and on since last July. LL Support asked me to do a ping and a tracert text file and send them the results, which I did and it is apparently a network connection problem, but nothing can be done about it except tell my ISP, which I do each time it persists. I don't know if anyone does anything to fix the problem. Sometimes it stops for a month or sometimes less. I spend most of my SL time on Mainland (on Corsica, Gaeta 1 or Premium 1 East or sailing -not as much since the more recent TP crashes, too). I hope the problem gets solved soon.

That may be true, but no one will ever be able to correct a network connection problem if they don't know what the problem is or how to correct it. Those who can, do and those who can't... should simply sit patiently and quietly waiting and relogging, putting clothes and shoes and hair back on at random intervals, reconciling their $L balance to their Transaction History, until they decide quietly they've done that enough times today and will stop now and come back and do this again tomorrow (for who knows how many weeks or months) until someone who can notices that there is a network connection problem and decides to fix it. I just want to go sailing, make stuff, sell stuff, buy stuff and use it. All of those things I used to be able to do!

Heartily agreed! Even a little warning... "We're losing you!! Save NOW" would save some of the time invested! I fully understand from experience when I go to a busy place I may crash, so I take those odds and decide whether to proceed but trying to do anything productive in SL lately is purely a bad gamble. So I tap my foot impatiently waiting for the odds to improve and it does help to know I'm not the only one who has noticed! What can I do to help when buying a top of the line gaming pc and the best hardwired internet connection available hasn't solved 'my' network connection problem? Stand up and say so and ask for a solution or guaranteed it will continue to be 'my' network connection problem.

My last 2 computers (Windows 7 & Windows 10) have automatic weekly cleanup, defragmentation and optimization setup (by default I assume) and I clear my browser daily. I've had many MP issues including purchases not appearing in Received items until I relog or request a redelivery, failed delivery Notification when I do get some purchases. According to LL, that and the myriad of other issues with crashing straight to desktop I've had in the last months/weeks, are probably due to a poor internet connection which I can do nothing to improve as I presently pay for the fastest residential fibre connection available. I've not been in SL very long (since mid 2015) compared to many of you but I do feel there are lots of excuses and allowances made for why our beloved 3 legged pet (SL) doesn't win many races. I guess we must decide whether to just accept that it's hobbled (feeble and unstable), consider investing in a decent prosthetic, or resort to bribery and pay tiered Premium fees for tiered Premium benefits like our very own Premium Account Server, maybe?

Currently there are 22 different Linden Homes in 4 different styles (I think the number changes according to availability). To change the textures, you need to touch the panel near the door, inside the house and choose from a good selection of choices using the link to a webpage for this purpose. I've lived in these homes off and on since I first joined SL as a Premium Member in 2015, walked and flew around those neighbourhoods, enjoyed the roads, rivers, parks and community centers, met some neighbours and found these homes quite comfortable and still had the full amount of 512 m2 prims (175 currently) to furnish, rez, build, listen to whatever Stream of music I chose, choose my own level of security and privacy and also abandon and choose a different LL Home at any time, if I so desired. I wish these nice LL communities were integrated into the Mainland continents as a nice introduction to living in SL as they have been a very nice starter home and a good example of living as part of the community. Question for Ebbe: Will LL Homes ever be part of, or directly connected to the Mainland Continents?
