  1. They can do that for sure. If you are willing to loose all your items and start from scratch
  2. I am not mourning the loss of gachas. I have seen them being people's downfall because they got addicted and to me they are jjust a cash grab. So i welcome this decision.
  3. Neener neener, serves you right for being nosy!!
  4. You would have to agree with the outcome as well and i have a hunch that you would not.
  5. Any arbitrary system like you suggest (even if it were remotely possible) would be clogged up mostly by people who feel wronged. Then they would have to install measures that punish and prevent frivolous claims Just like an rl court. Now even if they manage to get all that in place, they are still people with their own beliefs and views. So then they would have to make laws for these "arbiters" to follow, so it evens the playing field. This would become a monster in itself because people will try to influence these laws and change them because...............everybody want things to go their way. This is why even an rl justice system will always be flawed and an ever changing beast with many heads. In your case: i still do not think it will help you one bit. You can keep hiding in your own world but it wont change one thing for you.
  6. If something or someone from Second Life damaged your real life, thats a case for the proper authorities. I would also add that if that also happened to your SL, the foundation under both was wonky at best. I still firmly believe that you need to get a grasp back on reality and rebuild your life instead of hiding in your thoughts and blaming everyone and the entire universe for your mishaps. Life is what you make it. Both in SL and RL.
  7. They did not disappear from reality, they went back to it. And for as many reasons probably as there are stars. But probably none of those reasons involved "abandoning you". Sometimes we all need to face reality. Second Life is better when you have build a proper real life. Second Life can be a vehicle for many things but never a substitute!
  8. Utopia does not exist. Life is a harsh reality that you can only conquer by having a firm grip on said reality. Pointing to others for your mishaps might give you a temporary relief from that reality but it isn't a viable solution in the long run. You are the only person who can get back control over your own life. I have been at the bottom of the pit in real life. Homeless and in great debt. The only way i got out of that was by seeking help and rebuilding my life from the ground up and ignore the urge to flee into my own thoughts and fantasy world. The only way you will progress is that you step back in reality, stop hiding in Utopian thoughts. Build your life with the means that you have at your disposal. Nobody will hand you the things you want, you will have to create your own opportunities.
  9. I would recommend that you start looking for assistance outside of SL. If you already find it difficult to even formulate clearly what your skills are and dont even see a clear path into your future, it will be impossible to reach any goal you set in SL. You have a love for rather "floral" language to describe your situation but at this point that same language seems to be a means to hide what is really going on. Sometimes you need to face up to reality, get help and restart your life. No sense in hiding from it in SL. In your current state it will be impossible to even start the most marginal of attempts to build something. Just like a house, the foundation is key. And when that foundation is loose mud, any structure on it will tumble down.
  10. You are using a lot of language to describe your situation. Maybe it would be more practical if you share with us what your supposed skills are. Maybe that way some people can point you in the right direction. I will stick to my first statement though.. The chance of SL providing you with a steady rl income is small and you will be better off getting your rl back on track and look for sources of income there.
  11. Hey all! I am giving away a giftcard at an event. It basically gives a discount on my products. I am now getting complaints from people that they cannot get a free product for the amount of the giftcard. So my question is: Should a giftcard that i give away cover the full amount of a product or not?

  13. The Reckoning Sometimes taking care of business requires a little "persuasion"...... "Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you..."
  14. Some retail therapy always works. The sun is out, time for some new clothes!
  15. I agree that it would be nice to have an initial amount for new users to start their journey. I also agree with Chic that you can have a decent avatar and a decent sl with little to no investment. But it is also very much possible to finance SL with your SL if you put a little effort in it. There are plenty of small jobs in SL that can make you a nice amount to buy the things you want. That is the beauty of Second Life. I haven't been able to upload any money to Second Life since 2015 due to rl circumstances. I had to look for other ways to finance my SL and managed to get several income streams going. It takes a little effort but nothing comes for free. Want money? Go make it.
  16. Make a smaller club. I am still baffled as to why clubs in SL need to be massive. They can never have more than 100 guests and even that is unlikely because you have to set the avatar limit lower to make sure lag doesnt become insufferable. We have been experimenting with smaller clubs and they have a much better feel to them. They dont take up a huge space, they dont need tons of avatars to fill them. I have become much more partial to smaller clubs instead of the big ones. With smaller i mean clubs that can still easily hold 50-60 people
  17. Thank you for everything and i hope you will find much joy in the next step in your life ♥
