  1. If you are using a vendor that is suited to display multiple items. All you have to do is make a profile. This is a group of products you want to display on a vendor. After you make the profile, you tell the vendor to display that profile and all the products in that profile will be available for browsing and purchasing in that vendor. https://wiki.casperdns.com/index.php/CasperVend_2/Profiles_and_groups
  2. While i do agree that SL has quite the steep learning curve, i do not agree that you have to invest a large amount of money to get a decent avatar. There are plenty of good looking affordable options when it comes to avatar bodies and heads. Even the "mainstream" avatar head and body creators have occasional promos and even free parts. When it comes to clothing, skins, AO's and other items you might need to dress up an avatar, there is plenty to be found inworld for free or a marginal amount of money. As for Philips engagement with SL. I would not be surprised if he (like many other users in SL) makes use of alt accounts to further look into what is going on inside SL. I do not totally agree with his views either but at the same time we have no idea if he uses other means to explore SL and engage with people.
  3. I love checking people's profiles. All tabs of them. it is part of the fun of going out for me. Looking at avatars and checking profiles. Judging by the remarks and questions i get while out, many cannot be bothered to do so.
  4. What does that have to do with the discussion at hand? But to answer that: It seems we can. Somehow we manage.
  5. I am indeed from Europe and i am used to everything being taxed. it is a cost i take into account with every purchase i make. In my country we see a lot of those taxes being put to work. So that's probably the reason i do not complain and never have. I looked at renting a sim from LL versus getting one inworld and decided that renting inworld at a slightly higher price is more beneficiary. I take the MP tax and tax on my premium account as a fact of life, pay it and go on with my life. I think fussing over paying taxes is a very American thing also fueled by the fact that you don't really see a lot of benefits in return for those taxes. Examples: In many states the infrastructure is poor and education is mediocre at best.
  6. Too bad. You are missing a lot of deals by not shopping inworld. Plus as others said. A lot of quality brands left MP.
  7. I agree that everybody should have the right to be themselves, to express their true being. Everybody should have the same rights and freedoms. What i do not believe in is forceful interaction or "education" and i believe even less in the dismissing cancel culture. We are all human beings, with our own thoughts and beliefs. Everybody has the right to live their life as they see fit. I interact on a daily basis with friends who i severely disagree with on many points, but we found more common grounds than differences. We can have meaningful debates about anything and in some cases agree to disagree. I just do not believe in the sometimes militant way groups try to force their views and beliefs on others. This goes beyond gender and race, this also goes for things like politics and religion. Find common grounds, have healthy conversations but do not dismiss people right a way.
  8. I think we do have to take into account that someone with a different opinion on life matters is not necessarily automatically a bigot or a (put-in-any-term)foob They just base their thoughts and beliefs on their own experiences in life, their upbringing, social environment, culture, etc. It does not necessarily mean they are a bad person and should be fought with fire or forcefully educated. Both these things are often counter productive. I agree that if they take the step to be insulting or harassing, that should be addressed. But we have to be very careful that feeling insulted is not the same as being harassed.
  9. And people still miss the green banner. What i referred to was that they simply block duplicate purchases. Because even though that banner is there, people still buy.
  10. I will refund if i can find the double purchase in my records. Caspervend allows me to detect double purchases made in their system and will refund my customer and send a redelivery. I do not think Marketplace has that option yet. So it is pretty much "Buyer be aware". Calling it a scam is a bit much for my taste.
  11. Some people really should get a life. Trolling is so 2009. @PaulsianHope your treatment goes well.
  12. God forbid that a creator makes any money. But: Customer is always right...............right?
  13. In Caspervend you can set store credit. So a customer "builds" store credit with every purchase they make. But this is also given in an amount and not a % . There is also the possibility to make an item only item available if they purchased another item first. The giftcards already have been mentioned. So we at Caspertech offer quite a number of possibilities for customer rewards and loyalty discounts. Just not in the way you want.
  14. Yes, but not your UUID /Avatar key. So you can always be traced back. And it wont change the basic avatarinfo
  15. If you do it legally, by the rules, not that easily in Second Life.
