I've poked my head inside almost every virtual world that's been invented, except for those that require VR headsets. I have vision issues that make VR headsets extremely nauseating. They all failed to capture my interest almost immediately. Lack of other people in world. World looked like SL did when it was first introduced (and I visited most of these in the 2010s). While I'm willing to spend RL money in SL, I wasn't going to spend RL money on items that were looked like they were created in 2003 in 2015 (or later). Back in those days a few SL stores moved into these places, but SL had me spoiled.

It was 2020. I will correct that.

I have an example: Back in 2020, I put a political sign in my front yard that said "Anyone but (name of a particular political candidate)". Note: this was in Bellisseria. A few days later, an old fart male avatar sent me a photo he'd taken of him peeing on my sign. I read over his profile, and of course he had that quote about being kind because you never know what people are going through. Since he couldn't be arsed to follow his own motto, I sent him a scathing message quoting his profile. I waited a bit and then banned him from my land and blocked him. Why he thought sending that photo was in any way acceptable is beyond me, but that particular candidate does seem to attract the lunatic fringe.

I'll put in a vote for Girl You Hated In High School, but that's a display name. I know someone named Obviouslee Ordinary. She snagged the last name before they discontinued last names.

I have to second/third/400th about the rezzing issue. I get sooooooo freaking tired of having to TP out and back to get things in stores to rez, and it's high time the programmers determine the cause of this and freaking SOLVE IT. Why is it 75% likely that demos will fail to rez???!!!

Sofia had a gown gacha at The Arcade in December with a LaraX fit (no petite). One of her Advent gifts (Emma Star Gown Dress in Cherry) also had a LaraX fit, if you grabbed that one while it was available. It looks like she'll be doing X in the future. It doesn't look like Celestina's has released any X dresses, even in the Advent calendar. I've picked up several Purple Moon gowns for Lara X of late, and another one was just released. As Emma noted above, she's going to go forward with X and 5.3 for a year. I'm rather partial to the Tatiana dress with a sparkle layer (I got so many compliments on it). Its skirt has such nice folds that my AO doesn't wind up kicking my legs out from under it. There's a similar skirt on the PM Diana dress at Cosmopolitan right now. It looks like the Aurora limited edition winter gown and accessories is still available too. PM is just taking names and kicking butt with Lara X these days.

I suspect that many designers of period wear that basically covers the entire female body will probably skip Lara X and Petite X because all that would require is heavy alpha usage (I've tested a few of my Junbug pieces). Anything low cut in the chest would require BOM alpha though. My favorite (though expensive) formal gown designer, Son!a Edge, has come out with one X model thus far so I assume she'll make more. I do want to see Just Because start making gowns (and other things) for this body. I think you've already got Astralia's Royal Soiree update, right? As for Mers and such, I think that will take some time to rig. Re: cyberpunk/futuristic, R2 at C88 has an outfit rigged for Lara X. In my opinion, the only stores that will refuse to work with Lara X/Petite X are the stores that were already bailing out on Maitreya altogether. Considering how many stores are cranking out updates to existing 5.3 outfits so quickly, the word on the street that X is easier to rig must be true.

Annnnd, although they're not Lara X specific, Riot has a set of BOM jeans for TSS (30 colors!) that work great with Lara X items. Note: I am wearing a BOM layer (Friday's knit tights) under the Riot jeans that are slightly less low-rider. There's still a bit of tummy peeking out.

Thalia Heckroth has a nice modest Lara X outfit for TSS (no Petite X though).

Friday has a cozy cardigan-t-shirt combo up for TSS, and the Weekend jeans that match it are now updated to Lara X (but not on sale--220L is still a reasonable price). Excellent combo for those who don't want their tummy showing.

All the weekend events and Access are loaded with X/Petite X items. I've been using BOM lingerie and top/bottom layers frequently, especially the ones that are tintable. Friday's BOM tights and tanks are tintable, and Gawk has a set of BOM basic tanks that are tintable. Riot also has a set of basic tintable BOM tanks. Tetra has a group gift of tintable lingerie (bra, corset, panty) that I use constantly, especially the corset to cover things I don't need showing. My only gripe is that all of the BOM things take up huge swaths of my inventory, but they're too versatile to ignore. Now I need to cross my fingers and hope Neve updated that Cake skirt and put it in redelivery because I already have it!

What clothing exactly are you wearing? If you're in the furry community, it will take some time for the creators in that community to create for it. If you're talking about regular hooman type clothing and you aren't seeing anything, you're not looking (or trolling). Weekend and monthly events are loaded with Lara X and Petite X items in all kinds of styles from prim & proper to hooker chic. Maitreya doesn't need a specific Maitreya event because it's an established brand. With 7,520 avatars wearing 5.3 as per the BB bot site, they don't need marketing. Lara X is at 1,052. 716 avatars are still wearing Lara 4.1, even though that's an easy free update to either 5.3 or X. I don't feel like doing the math, but avatars wearing any version of Maitreya obviously are upwards of 9000+. Even Reborn wasn't built in a minute, and they DID have to have an event to build up their customer base.

C88 has a bunch of new LaraX stuff out, including something for the Poison Rouge lovers (no PetiteX though). A few designers are offering both OG Maitreya and LaraX if the vendor ads are correct. The Pixicat jacket is CUTE. There are still a few holdouts. Ison is not participating this month #sadface

I know Sofia or Celestina's included a LaraX dress in their advent calendar. I am not in world, so I don't remember which one. I believe Son!a Edge has come out with one LaraX dress so far. I usually buy at least one Son!a gown a year for formal events. Purple Moon has put out several good formal pieces for LaraX of late (with some really nice glitter effects that aren't like airport runway lights). I know she uses templates sometimes, but it seems like she gets exclusive rights for a period of time before other stores start popping up using that template.

You need a toe fix. Just go to Marketplace and search for "BOM toe fix" and you should get at least 3 results. Pick one.

I judge stores by a lot of factors. That mesh body store is annoying, so it makes sense that I found their product annoying and shoved it in my proverbial SL closet. I too do not like stores that are blindingly white in all aspects. I've left some because they gave me migraines. I can't see (literally) any benefit a store could have to just being pure white all over. I also judge stores on their vendor ads. I've found that stores that use tremendously cluttered backgrounds in their vendor photos are trying to cover something up (like poor quality). A lot of stores seem to think using a different cluttered background in every single vendor ad is somehow cool. Hint: It's not. Pick a consistent style and stick to it. The fewer background distractions, the better. Stores that have hundreds/thousands of items with no consistent organizational system rarely get my money either. Put your new stuff up front and organize the rest by category. It's not that hard! Or even better, curate your offerings and purge the older stuff or send it to Marketplace so that everything in the store is relatively recent and up to current standards. /end derail

I don't really have time to post pics, but just from my casual exploration, your flood has already started! Just Because: gown for LaraX (not petite though) at Fameshed this week and a gown for LaraX at Fameshed last month. It's pretty safe to assume she's going to create for X going forward (might want to get those NC in if you want Petite though). Fashionably Dead: Clothing for LaraX/PetiteX at Fameshed and Tres Chic within the past month also. Amias: 3 newest releases all include X. (No PetiteX though). Belle Epoque: Several X and PetiteX releases within the past month, including Anthem which just started (I'm not keen on the gymwear theme this month though). Mimikri: An outfit at the current Uber is for X (says Petite, but does not say PetiteX). That looks like her first X outfit. Ecru: has some pretty lingerie in X and PetiteX at the Reborn event + a ballgown and a short dress that were released earlier at Cosmopolitan. Dead Doll: has had several X releases already. I know because I own them. Erratic: has an X/PetiteX outfit that was out at Access in December. Tres Blah: at least one X/PetiteX dress at C88 in December. Glitzz: had several things (a couple lingerie dresses & stockings) in their Advent calendar for X/PetiteX. Valentina E: had a dress out at N21 in X/PetiteX in December, a shirt/sequin skirt combo at the mainstore including a TSS selection, a tuxedo at Fameshed last month, and a couple other dresses out at the end of November. If anything Valentina E is really going to town with LaraX. I'd say you're going to be set for clothing selection because I doubt anyone who has already worked extensively on some pieces for LaraX and PetiteX is going to change their minds and go back to OG Lara only. A handful are being brave and rigging for both the OGs AND the X models. Giz Seorn and Neve seem to be the true holdouts so far. Neve released new items this week but none for X.

Peeve: Tuesday morning region resets while I'm doing inventory clean-up (naked) in my skybox. I waited a reasonable amount of time to log back in and get booted to a hub, naked (with about 100 other avatars). Two seconds later, hub region DING! Bell of doom region restart. Home region still not up. Luckily my alpha HUD rezzed fast enough for me to alpha out my body before the hub perverts invaded my inbox.

Fwiw, I noticed that Belleza GenX had a lot of clothes rigged for it coming out of advent calendars this year. I purchased the GenX Classic when it first came out, but creators were so slow in rigging for it, I gave up and went back to Maitreya. Anecdotally, it looks like GenX is slowly gaining creators. LaraX was not in nearly as many advents though, but I suspect that's because most of these gifts were created before X got released.

Gawk has some BOM layering pieces as well. Being older than dirt i also kept a lot of good quality system layers when mesh came along and most everyone else was purging. Tetra has a nice group gift of BOM lingerie that includes corsets and bras in multiple colors that cover up the bits that low cut shirts don't. They're tintable as well. I use them a LOT.

As the old saying goes, "You are the company you keep." Sure, there are toxic people in SL, but there are toxic people online EVERYWHERE. I spent years playing World of Warcraft, and hoooooo, that place got crazy at times. I marvel at that certain SL gossip website wherein people complain about all the toxic people, roleplay sims, and whatnot and just wonder sometimes how they meet these people. I've managed for 10+ years to keep the toxics away from me in SL. My profile scares away the manhos. The club I hang out at must keep its drama on the downlow because I am not aware of it (and I don't want to be). And unlike some folks, I get a lot of happiness out of dressing my dolly. I have health issues in RL, so SL allows me to be someone I can't be in RL.

I wore Lara X from the moment it came out. Then I got an advent gift I just HAD to wear, so I dragged 5.3 out again. When I wore 5.3 before I could ignore the shoulders/arms. Now I can't. 5.3's shoulders/arms are so jagged. Luckily the advent gift covered up most of the ugly. And for all the fussbudgets who claim X can't go slim/skinny, it's not that hard to shape X down to model skinny. You just have to do more than tinker with the butt size alone. I was listening to group chatter today, and some people just whined that X is "fat."
