@Lyndka Cochrane Make it in the style used for The Merry Minuet by The Kingston Trio.

I am getting tiles when full-scale. If those were still missing I would be kinda cheesed-off by now. As it is, I can still get my map-tile fix.

Additionally, there is this Second Life Place Pages.

What are some more of your pet peeves?

People role play slow cashiers? How gnarley! -
I know what's going on. It's related to a recently publicized Marketplace bug.

This has been a thing for a long time. If I am connected to the region, either as a Main Agent or a Child Agent, I seem to bypass the landing point on our group's parcels where the role I am in is allowed to bypass the landing point. When I am not connected to the region and teleport to the same parcels, I do go to the landing point. This has been so consistent that I have never questioned the behavior. I would do some testing now but I cannot seem to load any group information at this time.

What is the Upper limit of LSL and its functions?

Declare a new Epoc! -
Seems likely. I have a few old computers that fit that description. Some that have Vulkan drivers suffer self-inflicted packet loss when trying to render some SL scenes so I call them too slow. If there are a lot of “course updates” coming in and the frame rate is low they let the packets hit the floor. They also either take from several minutes to forever to render some mesh avatars and miss a lot of animations and sounds. The computer I use today does not have any of these issues. It is rather annoying to see people blaming Linden Lab and/or their ISP when they are using dimestore notebooks and computer history museum exhibits to access Second Life.

Wasn't really much more than a logout-from-SL then login-to-<otherVW>, all done under software control. You got to take nothing with you. I really do not see any benefit in that. Certainly no benefit that justifies the effort. No, it was not teleporting from one grid to another. It was literally logging out of one system and logging in to another system. If it was a teleport then it could have just as easily been a region crossing. Now, linking multiple grids would be interesting but HOW, when they are different and have different requirements and capabilities? Oh yeah, let's add that software complexity and MASSES of resulting software defects that will result. NO THANKS! I will just logout and launch the other program. There will not be a "universal client" any time soon. Maybe that's never gonna happen until somebody comes along and trounces all the others, like, say, Google is doing with web browsers.

I read in another thread that recent AMD video drivers cause the blues in SL Viewer. It was suggested to install a previous version of AMD video drivers to clear things up.

(Not particularly directed at MrBalloone) Seems to that whenever somebody comes in and starts saying Second Life Viewer should be ported so some new game engine they are overlooking the fact that Second Life Viewer does not currently use any game engine. That abstraction level does not currently exist in Second Life Viewer. The "Havok" is only used for physics in the Second Life Simulator and for mesh physics decomposition at the time of upload in the Second Life Viewer. Viewers do not need any code from Havok if they do not upload mesh. There may even be viewers uploading mesh without Havok code, by using alternative methods to accomplish the task. I haven't looked. I remember Andrew Linden telling a group gathered on Simon Linden's land in Second Life that he would like to see a new simulator written that still uses Second Life accounts and inventory. He indicated that by very selectively leaving out support for a few very problematic types of content, other, more capable replacements could be provided. I do not recall what types of content he had in mind. He said the idea would be to design for performance first, then backwards compatibility second, where it does not compromise performance, then see what existing content got broken and decide what to do about it. Some support could possibly be added for some particularly widely used content, if it doesn't compromise the performance too much. Anyway, I think he thought he was going to get to do that sort of thing with Sansar but we all saw where Sansar deviated from the initial announced roadmap and ran off into the Aether to chase golden dreams and glittering generalities.

There are no map tiles for your viewer to retrieve. Well, there may some but I cannot tell for sure because my viewer has several in cache. I am anxious for their return.

Sansar seemed to harbor a lot of people that were proud to be banned from Second Life. -
Most of my attempts to use spacial voice, private voice or group voice ended with me suggesting a visit to the region Voice Echo Canyon. They either refuse, after which I shut off voice, or they go there. Most return no longer wanting to use voice. Some fix their sound and return. A few return still making offensive noise and still want us to hear them. They tend to get shunned.
