I've been in SL for over six years and I can't tell what is stolen, so how is it so obvious to others? I'm not trying to pick on you Perrie, but this subject comes up all the time and I still don't know how to tell if something is stolen.

Yes, like I said, I have been using the check boxes but I still do not see name tags. Some sometimes but not display names, not sure what names I do see because there is nothing that says, this is a display name.

I am having a problem with name tags. It looks like Display names are not showing up at all. I have the latest LL viewer and do not see the same problem with my TPV. Am I missing a setting? I have been playing with the check boxes for user name, display name, my name and what ever the other check boxes are there but I end up with no names or just some people with names. I don't use a display name but I turn it on sometimes just to see.

First of all, welcome to mesh clothing, 90% of it, or more, does not fit me. Second, I hope that is a demo and now you know not to spend any L$ on it. Third, if its not a demo, if the demo did not fit why did you buy it? Forth, I like short skirts, where did you get it? And also, I got a skirt free from one vendor, lucky chair, and I could not make it fit. Saw the same skirt at another shop with a really nice texture so I got the demo. The alpha with that skirt made the other skirt fit. I now get demos from different shops if something will not fit, has worked a couple of times.

If your still having problems, you will need to be in the land owners group in order to set your home. Just a thought.

I have been having a lot of TP problems lately and I am on fiber. My son paid for the connection and when showed the options his only question was, do you have anything faster, they did and he paid extra for it. We have 4 gamers in the house and we can all run top speed all at the same time, yet I have problems with TP when I am the only one with a computer turned on. I have found that a lot of the time its not your connection but something else.

I have often thought if anyone asked me about SL and about porn, I would point out that in SL you can find regions with no porn, but in RL you can't find a city that you can't find porn it, someone has it. Kind of makes SL less sinful than RL. Come to Second Life and save your soul. The FSM does love you. I should know, my son is an Ordained Minister.

I agree with Amethyst about the legitimacy of your research with so few people and questions, but I was bored so here you go. 1. What do you buy in SL? For the most part I go to live music events. And I shop so I will look nice out in “public”. Other than that not much. 2. Do you always buy products free of charge, have you purchased Linden Dollars (LD) or do you work and earn money in SL? I always look for free items, there are a lot of them but not all are that well done. Yes I purchase Lindens. No, I do not work in SL. 3. If you have purchased LD: How much money do you spend in SL for two months? Why do you spend money in a virtual world? I have a budget and its hard to keep to it. I look at SL a lot like going to the movies, I don't own anything when I leave a movie, but I had fun. The same with SL, even though I spend money on things (just like going to the movie), I own nothing, Linden Lab owns it all, but I have fun. 4. If you buy products free for charge: Why don't you spend LD when you're shopping? I have very little money to spend any more, so I look far and wide for free items. I will spend money but you will never find me spending a lot, why spend a lot of money when it is not my item even after I purchase it. It should be called renting so people don't get the wrong idea. 5. What is your favorite company in SL? Why this company? They come and go to fast. 6. Do you own shares in a SL company? No.

A generic response, not pointed at anyone, just a comment. I don't think I disagree with the new ToS completely, I think what I disagree with mostly is how it was implemented. Its a little like leaving you home to get a gallon of milk and coming back home and having someone standing at your front door with a paper for you to sign. Sign to get in your home, but when you sing, your home belongs to us, have a good day. It should have been, you have a week to sign or something similar that. I think the one thing I do like about the new ToS, well not really like, but it drives home to others (creators?) how I have felt for years. What... I paid for it and its does not belong to me. I have absolutely no rights to it at all. That has always bothered me, and yes I know and believe it or not I do understand the difference between creating something and purchasing something. But the concept is the same, like it or not (it belongs to me). You do not, I repeat, do not, feel any more violated by this new ToS than I do and have felt on the two matters. Welcome to my world. But I do feel a little better having everyone in the same boat, so to speak.

I have on like that, its from HOC Industries, and has a HUD with a number of textures for it.

Every file, every asset, every piece of information on a computer has a create date, all they do is look at the date. Finding what was uploaded after the new ToS is not a problem, at all.
