  1. Can you set or change Debug settings with a script (LSL)? And if not a script by an xml file? It would be nice to be able to modify some of the settings I change every time I do a clean install, or just to make sure they are still set correctly. I have had some change unexpectedly. Thanks.

  3. I don't think you'll find the Lab removing negative reviews just because they are negative. Now if they are rude with bad language and have no information in them, then I could see the Lab removing them. But most likely the seller just removed the item from the MP and then re-listed it removing all the reviews. But if you find that only your review was removed you may need to take a look at how you stated what the problem was. And like someone else said, contact the seller if you have a problem. I have found that many of them are very nice people and welcome you telling them there is a problem. I have even received free items because I was polite pointing out problems the seller missed.
  4. Oh yes, forgot about that, thanks for the correction.
  5. I'm not looking it up, but as I remember, you must be a premium member for 45 consecutive days before getting the stipend, then its weekly.

Are you a Premium Member? Call support, tell them its misuse of the Market Place and theft of your items. If they say its a user to user altercation, tell them no, its theft. Have as much information about what happened as you can, about the bad review and the re-listing of the items. Be polite and to the point.

As to the how, your products talk to a server outside of Second Life, and your products have been “turned off” at that server. If the terms say something like "we will disable your items if we damn well feel like it", then I guess that's that. But Jay has not said if there was even a ToS or not. A lot of times they are clearly there but people don't even see them and agree without reading. LOL, I am having a problem with flash player or something like that right now, I can't find the license to read it to agree to it so I can't update. But I really love how videos don't play automatically now, very sweet.
  8. JayWaters wrote: There are no such terms that state a bad review will cause me to blacklist your product rendering it useless. Also the marketplace listing has no such wording, there is no sort of disclaimer anywhere that says "if you give my product a bad review I will keep your lindens, disable your product and laugh at you as I STOLE your money" To me this is AKIN to buying a television from Amazon, then going and saying some things you do not like about it on an Amazon review and having the manufacturer disable your power button, rendering your television useless because you made a bad review on Amazon. Over the years I have seen it a number of times, and no they don't need to be so specific as saying you can't give us a bad review, all they need to say is, if we don't like something your doing we can pull the plug. If they said they will do it for a bad review then LL may get involved, but as it is there is nothing you can do, they said they would if you annoyed them, and you did, and then they did. It was most likely all spelled out in the ToS so there is nothing you or LL can do.

Without naming names no one can be positive, and I could be wrong here, but I doubt it very seriously.
  10. Wallace Wirefly wrote: I placed a ticket ine about this and here's the response I received: Thank you for contacting Linden Lab Support. The IP Complaint process can be complicated, and even though you bought something from a vendor, vendors do not always upload original content and the item you bought may be infringed property. Here are some links for your information so you can review the complaint process and be more informed about possible infringing property http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Frequently_Asked_Questions_on_the_IP_Complaint_Process http://blogs.secondlife.com/community/community/blog/2009/12/09/testing-improvements-to-our-intellectual-property-complaint-process Guess one has to hire an attorney to get this resolved. Maybe part of ones premium membership should include access to a IP attorney As I have stated before and say over and over this IP and DMCA needs to be resolved. One wonders how this will be handled on the new SL 2.0 platform. If it is the same then I doubt it will get very far. It's complicated :matte-motes-big-grin-wink: It sounds like you got a canned message back from someone that does not understand what is going on. All the animations that are missing have nothing to do with a DMCA being filed. It was an error by a process used by Linden Lab. Ebbe has tweeted that from what I understand. And yes the DMCA process is extremely broken but that has nothing to do with the animations that are missing. At least that is my understanding.

The problem is with animations that have been loaded into the Firestorm built-in AO. --Has anybody suffered IP replacement in the last few days who is not using Firestorm AO? 2. The animations are not stolen or even possibly stolen (not acquired as freebies, etc.). 3. The problem is not restricted to Vista animations. I have Akeyo and others that were replaced. And not all my Vista were replaced. 4. LL is not sending any kind of message--I mean during the outbreak of this in the last few days.No email, no notecard. For even more clarity, I have never installed firestorm, never used it once. But I still have lost animations. Just saying.
  12. Zembel Braham wrote: Same happened to me: animations gone from the Firestorm AO. These were bought--at the store--from Vista and Akeyo. I believe I still have most of the animations in original AOs. (I copied them over into Firestorm's built in AO.) But it looks like replacing them in the Firestorm AO would lead to their being "absconded" again. Having the animations removed, when they were my legitimate property, is annoying. And now I get to reconstruct all the animation sets I was using, and hope the same thing doesn't happen again. Not happen again, NO, NO, NO, its going to be an Annual Event. There will be hamburgers and hotdogs and home made ice-cream. We will have singers and bands and every one will dance the “IP Replacement” and sing around the camp fire. It will be glorious.
  13. Well, I got my animations back with redelivery, but, they have both been replaced with IP replacement already. If you got your dances back, Check your Inventory, they may be gone again.
  14. All the threads were not deleted, but it was my first experience with IP replacement and the thread I was following the closest was deleted. Could have been circumstances I was not aware of. My animations are not Vista, but I have them back now with the redelivery, so... must have been in error again, who’s error, I don't know.
  15. Well, you have already said it so, yes, it was an error by the Lab. They removed a lot of animations, and a couple threads I was following were deleted when that was brought up. Maybe things have changed. But, because these are major brand name animations they will most likely be put back. Last time most of my animations came back in a day or so but some took longer as I recall.
  16. Looks like I have lost two dance animations, and no you can't get a redelivery of an IP replacement unless the IP ban has been lifted and the item put back in the system. Last time this happened I lost half a dozen dances and the IP replacement was replaced with the dances in a couple days. Hopefully the same will happen this time. All are from major brand names. I would tell you what most likely happened but if its anything like last time, that would cause this thread to be deleted.
  17. One of the HUD's has a Terms of Service you need to accept and a link to it, I suggest you read it, I could not accept it, but that's just me.
  18. After you get them where you want them, take them off (detach or what ever) and put them back on again. Then log off and back on and see if that helps. For me, sometimes if I don't remove and reattach something I have moved it goes back to where it was and not the new position (after logging off and back on). Detaching and putting it back helps, for me any how.

I have since moved to a Windows 8 platform, downloaded the new SL viewer and the Firestorm viewer. My avatar will not come out of rez state on either viewer on multiple computers I have tried. ???? What to do???? Because your saying your on Windows 8 now, I am guessing you got a new computer. You said you downloaded and installed the latest viewer. What I would suggest is start from scratch with your avatar, change everything, your skin, shape, everything. See if that helps any. And sometimes after changing like that its good to log off and back on again if you are having any problems at all. Good luck, and report back if you still have problems. Also tell us what your system is so we will know what your working with.
  20. On the up side, they look better than the standard avatar. I don't think they look as much better as some will say, that or the demo avatars are not very good. I am often in crowded places and I personally can't tell if anyone has a mesh avatar or not. And I would think there must be some around due to the amount you hear about them. And I have a pretty good computer and run my settings between High and Ultra, so if they are that much better you would think it could be seen, and I don't see it. On the down side is the money you need to spend on one. And its not just the avatar, its all new clothing for them. And if your anything like me, I don't change my skin much so I would need to not only buy the avatar but all new skins too, now your really talking big money. And most of my 50K inventory would be useless and I still like a great deal of it. Bottom line for me is, I will wait for SL-TNG and see what that brings.
  21. Cathy asked: Will High Fidelity be storing data on my hard drive and accessing it when I am not logged into the grid? That would be interesting but would not work for me, my network cable goes from the back of my computer to a connector in front of my keyboard. From that connector another network cable goes to my switch. When I am off-line I unplug my network cable from the connector and plug it in again when “I” want my PC to be on-line. I have a fast enough connection that it has never slowed me down.
  22. I have just a few things that are fit mesh, and I think all came with the standard size too, and that is what I use, the standard size. I have one item that I got that is only fit mesh and I really had to work with it and modify my body to get it to fit. I always said I would never mod my body but in this one case I did just to get the dress to fit. I don't like fit mesh and I feel like its still at the point that mesh was at when it first started, needing a lot of work. Maybe it will get better but I'm not holding my breath, if an item is only fit mesh, I don't buy it. But that is how I started out with mesh, I stayed away from it, but use it a lot now. But like I said, I don't like fit mesh.

I always download and install manually. No clean install needed, but that may be different for others, so do it and get infos how to do it. Agree about auto update, I never have that turned on. I had a problem with 3-7-12 and Nicky Perian confirmed it to be a problem and suggested I try 3-7-15, that worked. But now I have 3-7-6 and 3-7-15 both clean installs and both get the message “Kokua Release Version has stopped working”. And I have been using both for weeks now. And like I said, I was logged on earlier today with no problems and it was after the SL updates that they both stopped working. Also, LL viewer works and Black Dragon works.
  24. Not sure if its the same problem, but, I have been logged in for several hours today before the SL updates. After the updates I am getting “Kokua Release Version has stopped working” and I can't get on SL with Kokua. I have booted and tried two different versions of Kokua and still can't log on with it. The SL viewer does work.
