  1. My alt's account updated correctly on the 24th but nothing after that (she got some new free skins on the 30th and they are not there). I did notice that items no longer remain in trash, they disappear with log off. Not sure if that is new or if I just needed something last week from the trash and it wasn't there :D. Pretty sure a LOT of folks were on vacation this last week so not as much getting done as usual. But since my gal's DID update on the 24th if the Bento body was after that you might want to put in a ticket and or file a JIRA.
  2. I did see this info from you both in that linked forum thread and I did notice the sample info at the bottom. Will need to take some time (I am baking at 1024 (usually 400 or 500 resolution the "traditional" bake method) and I swear that last bake took close to half an hour rather than maybe five minutes so this IS a time consuming "feature" LOL and not terribly sure if it is worth it except in a few circumstances. But I REALLY DO APPRECIATE all the work you both went to and hopefully this will be a great thread for others too. If I come up with any more relevant info I will of course add here. I think that stack exchange article might be good for folks interested to read. Honestly, from what I see I am not sure too many folks really care about those tiny jagged lines and as said one COULD map so that there were only a very few INTERIOR diagonals within the islands. For most folks that would likely be the best method. But KNOWLEDGE is always important, that's why I read forum posts that I don't imagine I will even need to know about -- sometimes years later, I DO! :D. I should also note that I haven't noticed any of these jagged lines on Maya bakes (others, as I don't have Maya) but that could possibly mean that the Maya user too do post processing work. I am thinking NOT however as those Maya bakes are something to behold LOL. Cheers! @OptimoMaximo @Fluffy Sharkfin
  3. Yes, I just checked with a premium friend and she is fine. That is VERY ODD. Well maybe not as the premium folks can look back three months so different than the basic of us. Well at least they know and can fix soon. I have a general idea of what I sold and such but not really feeling very interested in spending money with thing kind of "off". AND for those that need to sign up for venues they cannot if they have to paste in transaction info.
  4. Yes, broken all day. You are not alone. I am considerably richer and both Marketplace and inworld sales are being sent to me as "sales" but cannot see the transaction info. I was going to post but decided it was the NEW YEAR and HOLIDAY thing and will hopefully be fixed tomorrow.
  5. I agree that "donations" is a bit iffy. If we are talking about a regular person (not a non-profit entity) that gets money from another person in a way that we would call "tips" in the US (such as for services rendered as an escort maybe as that is a pretty hefty "donation") then that IS income and while I doubt seriously that Linden Lab would do much about it, if you cash that money OUT it become real life dollars (or perhaps your country's currency as I don't know how that works. THAT money is indeed taxable and after a certain amount (and regular $10,000 "donations" would certainly add up to that) is reported the the IRS (in the US - again have no idea about other countries). IF you spend your "donations" within the game then I can see no way that you are breaking any laws or any TOS statues as I understand them. I think most folks writing on this thread are fairly confused about what you are talking about LOL> I know "I" am. So it is difficult to give a valid opinion when the question is so vague. So $10,000 linden is roughly $40 US. Weekly that would be over $200. And if you cash out that is real income that would need to be reported. That's pretty much the bottom line as I see it. But again it isn't likely Linden Lab would get involved unless it was a money laundering thing. THEN they for sure will.
  6. I get that. Always good to know. But still --- NO DEMO. I simply don't buy -- well 99% of the time anyway and certainly not a mesh body even with Whirly's recommendation. Really, NO demo?
  7. The zeroing out isn't an option; 1 is the minimum. I read through Fluffy's suggestion thread quickly and doing a bake now (at least with wine and caftan so that isn't EXACTLY working). That thread is about baking a render rather than a UV map so not sure how that might differ since I never baked a render. My first test went very quickly and didn't show any improvement. Somehow the second one is taking a LONG time so we'll see if it is better. I can reread that thread CAREFULLY manana. OK. THIS TOOK FOR-E-VER and I have a hefty machine. So for a ton of folks it would not even be an option. This is with the defaults. If there was a lovely smooth line I might say "woot" but I am not seeing that. I will read the info in that forum post tomorrow when not so tired.
  8. OK. I had to reply to this statement. I don't know of any home builder (including ME) that only sells houses for personal use. Can you site a builder or two please? That is an insane idea IMHO!
  9. Well it certainly has many stars (which could easily mean 24 alts - no I am not kidding - insert sad face). But it looks like THERE IS NO DEMO! Or any photo of the HUD which in my mind is HALF the value (reason to buy) of a mesh body. Give it a try and report maybe :D. Obviously clothes selections would be very limited (I see a clothes store from the same maker maybe).
  10. OK. Thanks to both of you and I will try that but not today as it is past quitting time and I am trying to be good about that. MEANWHILE I just wanted to note that it very much DOES matter as those jagged edges happen INSIDE the connected faces on the UV whenever there is a diagonal (this includes circles :D). Adding padding doesn't help at all in this case. I am going to paste in my photo again with the area I am worried about in yellow. So it looks like we all missed something LOL. Too much information; too few brain cells = at least in my case. Hopefully this is be a good source of info for the future. Will report tomorrow before I hit the road -- literally as I am road building at LEA6 LOL. THANKS AGAIN TO YOU BOTH. I realize that I could make the islands separate but in some pieces of this project that would have made a TON of islands and I am not really big on scattered UV maps :D. So finding a way to fix the bake was my aim!
  11. OK. Well thanks for saving me some time LOL. And yes, I am in Cycles, but perhaps some of this info will help someone in Blender Render :D. Meanwhile I can try not to make too many LIGHT WOOD items *wink* where the problem is very noticeable -- at least to me. Thanks again. PS. Thought I should mention that I am in Blender 2.78c as 2.79 was a disaster for me (and others). There IS a possibility that this has been improved in later versions. IF SO -- PLEASE let us know!
  12. Thanks @OptimoMaximo and @Fluffy Sharkfin (glad the @ feature is working again). I had already come to the conclusion that Maya baked better than Blender LOL (long ago actually LOL, but we work with what we know and what we can afford :D). I can't find the anti-alias checkbox in cycles so if there is one and someone knows a hint would be helpful. Thanks. I DID find a volume sampling that looks like it could be of some help. The default is 512 maximum steps and having that maximum SEEMS to suggest that the higher baking options would be "clamped" by that maximum which is what seems to be happening. I have a VERY busy day today but will look into that more. For others and for myself so I don't forget -- this is in the Bake menu under Geometry. There is also a sampling presets menu which I have never fooled with (and possibly should) up top of the Bake menu. So looking at the changes that those presets make might give a hint.
  13. Just so this thread will be "complete" :D. I did a bake at 2048 which is four times the resolution of my normal 1024. Issue is still there. I am thinking -- from the quality of the bakes I see done with Maya that this isn't an issue in ALL 3D software. I certainly could be wrong there. This has been resized to 1024 but even at full size it really wasn't much (if any) better. By hand in post processing seems to be the bottom line. Luckily it isn't always needed.
  14. LOL. OK, I am going to take the silence as a "no" which honestly I expected. It might be possible to bake at a much bigger size and then resize in a graphics program. I have done that before. It comes with different problems though.
  15. Honestly I got tired of reading and skipped to the end -- But just wanted to note that long, long, long ago when the TOS was SO MUCH SHORTER and before the lawyers (or maybe just more expensive lawyers) came into the picture there actually WERE clauses about discrimination which was "not allowed". That was actually when personal islands were like brand new and so how the growth of those fit into the conversation and clauses we can only guess. P Personally I have no problem with sim owners deciding who and who cannot enter their space -- whether residential or commercial. Shop owners ALSO have the ability to make their choices and can pick from a wide variety of shop spaces OR make their own. Personally I have never felt comfortable being in a place or group where I was unwanted so I am having a difficult time figuring out why this is so important to the OP. So that's my bit of history and a comment. It is MY TENTH REZ DAY TODAY -- and no the typist was NOT bored on New Years Eve. I was born in the day and was actually an experiment in making a "live" silver manikin. That did not work, but once born it was hard keeping me down LOL.
  16. Today I am pulling up Terradale from LEA12. I already have one set of backups but I seem to lose things when I do this so will have TWO sets after the takeup of ground level. Tomorrow, hopefully, I will terraform LEA6 which will become Terradale's new home (minus the Perry Pipers and the storyline). It will be slightly different and of course will change and grow over time. LEA6 will become the newest incarnation of the Machinima Open Studio Project.
  17. And currently (for maybe just today as it is the end of the month AND year) there is a free Gizelle head for WOMEN at eBento (another thread) --- as well as a different free male body and head combo available at the altamura store. It is darker skin but similar to the one shown in this thread above. You can alpha the head on the body combo and use another head (Akeruka's fit well so guessing others would also). THE NEW BODY is at Teleport Hub group gift ($10 to join) and currently you can find the body near the door around the corner in a Teleport Hub floor vendor.
  18. You can add your photos to various SL Flickr groups to get them seen by more people. Look at the "Submit Your Photos for Picture of the Day" link at the top of this page (or most of the Forum pages). That is one group. You can find more SL Flickr groups by looking at pictures in that group and seeing what OTHER groups people have added things to. My biggest tip would be to learn about Windlight (takes a while - small doses good :D). Here is my Windlight page (ancient but updated) with some links. No need to download any of my Windlight settings unless you are using the Linden viewer. They are a part of most 3rd party viewers already. https://chicatphilsplace.blogspot.com/2009/09/windlight-settings.html
  19. To choose a new avatar from the viewer -- Choose AVATAR > Choose Avatar and a reel of choices will appear. They are also in your viewer inventory. So maybe that will help.
  20. This isn't a new issue for me and I have been "fixing" in my graphics program. But even if I bake at 800 resolution (I usually use 400 or 500) I have the same choppy diagonals both on outer and inner edges. Not everything can be 90 degree angles. So have I missed something along the way? A setting that will fix this issue? Inquiring minds want to know -- or "I" do at least. Thanks.
  21. I made a FB account four or five years ago and then never went there after a brief time. AT THAT TIME it was after a bunch of SL folks got their SL FB accounts canceled because they were not people and they had signed up as such. AT THAT TIME it was completely legit to sign up for a FB account "as a fictional character" which I did. I have no idea if that is still the rule. I don't do social media - just forums LOL, but oddly enough my (Chic's) FB page was second in the search list when I did a "Chic Aeon" search for a blogger challenge awhile back. I don't go there. I don't post there. All very odd!
  22. I do what Whirly says and then adjust the DOF settings (Firestorm Phototools). It is important to note that if you are shooting high rez photos (mine ae 6000 before resizing) you need to make your photo BLURRIER than you want your finished work to be as resizing will give you less pixels and "sharpens" even if you don't use that ability in your graphics program. While the slider positions change depending on what I am doing, this is a shot of the last setting I used.
  23. Just wanted to say this seems like a good idea!
  24. FOR THE FUTURE while I don't do this for clothes, I DO implement for housewares, store build etc -- and that is make folder by the YEAR such as "Home and Garden 2018" with sub folder under there. After a few years it is a pretty safe bet you can delete that folder LOL. We really don't need stuff from 2010 except perhaps a few things for nostalgia's sake. After you get your inventory managable make sure you KEEP it clean by going through every few months. I blog and build with tons of products and my inventory is still about 35,000 much of which is store stuff. STILL I know I have a ton of landmarks that can get deleted -- and there is a tip. You can search for just landmarks and likely delete ALL THOSE LANDMARKS that come with products. You an also delete all the scripts and such inside of boxes (one reason I sell things in folders, not boxes --- and gacha items ARE the items in most cases LOL. NO unboxing from my place! Also notecards. Get rid of all of those and you could easily be many thousands down :D. Happy purging.
  25. Note that there are a lot of designers making clothes specifically that WILL layer. Check some of the popular monthly venues and then of course: TRY THE DEMOS!!
