Eloise Baily
I've just had an email notification offering me a sailboat for being a premium member. I've always fancied a trip on the Blake Sea. Is it choppy out there?I like prezzies me. :)
Honey Puddles
I got the email, but the link to "find a gift kiosk" doesn't seem to work. I just get a broken looking Secondlife.com page, with no links (it shows my name as "Second Life Resident") Anyone got a list of Gift Kiosk locations? wiked Anton
yes, how wonderful....for giving them thousands of dollars, so far they have given me a tiny good for nothing house (which i gave back) , and now a tiny little boat. unfortunately i already own a 3 deck 18th century galley.................. Knutz Scorpio
Might try at the premium sandbox "Sandbox Mirificatio", the tall mound at the SW corner. That's were I picked up the furniture. Strangely that reminds me of a line from "Blast From The Past", something about a transgender prostitute offering patio furniture as a come-on.:smileyvery-happy:

Rage Riptide
I'm a premium member for another few days till basic kicks in. Thanks but no thanks, I don't want no boat. It's a pity they are giving away just one thing instead of a choice from a range of things. Looks like another creator promotion to me but I couldn't care less anyway anymore. Eloise Baily
Well seeing as I didn't sign up for freebies, or anything other than my own entertainment really, I'll take my boat and go shopping for a nifty sailor's outfit, then I'll talk like a pirate for a bit and maybe buy a parrot. Ahoy me hearties aaaargh!
Persephone Emerald
I haven't picked up the free sailboat yet, but I think it's a fine Holiday present. Thank you, Linden Labs. You may not get everything right, but I think you're trying to do better by us loyal customers.
Pussycat Catnap
Oh I'll have to check this out. I have "land" (water) on the Blake sea. Ya'll can rez boats there too if you like: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Claret/247/72/22 - Its the south end of things, chosen so I could have as long a trip as possible. Â There's also good water between Shermerville and Bay City, and over on Sansera I think, 80m deep water that sometimes has shipwrecks under it. My rez point on the 80m deep water: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Honawan/208/82/83 (its the lake two lakes to the north-east of me, where you see icebergs, that's more interesting - though only 40m deep there.) The SL sailing community is very active, and I've got an intro to it all in my blog, linked in my sig. Â Here's the boat, right in front of my house boat (upper left corner of the sail - you can see my house boat there behind it): Â

Charolotte Caxton
Cute pictures! I love your feed. You can customize the little boat too I think.
Charolotte Caxton
Interesting, I just went back to reread the description, and it says it is a customizable mesh sailboat. Neat. http://secondlife.com/destinations/premium/gifts "The latest gift is a customizable mesh sailboat. Choose between several colors..."
Jenni Darkwatch
Don't know why people are complaining... it's actually quite a nice boat. Not nice enough to give professional boatmakers a run for their money, but still nice enough to give people a good introduction to boating in SL. Even has a motor for the times when sailing is too much work...
Wildcat Furse
a public Linden Lab rezz zone for sailing activities can be found here in the middle of the Dire Strait ocean sims, plenty of space to enjoy your first steps into sailing. Don't forget to wave when sailing along the Neobelow sim: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ahab%27s%20Haunt/114/159/22 *meows*
Caitlin Tobias
It's a cool boat. And since I did not have any yet, this is just a great opportunity to see if I like it! I already lost the boat and drowned in the ocean, so I may not be a good enough captain..then again: it is lovely accesory on my beach
jennylongview Innovia
I wonder if I can put my LLÂ boat in my LL house... Maybe I should get a LL boat house.. That would fix the problemo...
April Looming
I got mine  Had to follow the direct map link to get it, though. It's weird that they'd send an email that's useless without the forums though... silly.
