Private Prim Script?

Guess IDK which part of the forums this question fits best, thought I'd try here too...

Is there such a script (or is it possible to make one) where only certain group members can see a prim's textures (regular, specular, glow, etc.)?  Like, the prim would still be on the land and weigh against the impact, etc., but there have to be specific circumstances to see certain aspects of it.

That's not possible.

If this were possible, people could try to hide things that don't belong in that maturity rating. So no, this is not possible. 

An item can be set to group, however, so only members of that group can interact with it and activate touch scripts in it.

Or, even things that are against the TOS! (This was referenced not long ago..)

You're best bet would do a script for a timer or hide/unhide an object that is the 'skinned' prim. Like having a certain group rez the opening of a treasure box.
