About Me

  1. We are looking for an experience scripted to help with a cash paying customer's project. The work would include: · Adapt existing experience key-based “sit” scripts that control avatar cameras. These scripts utilize both llSetCameraParams as well as LlSetCameraAtOffset and LlSetCameraEyeOffset · Create slide show scripts that communicate with our out-world event management system. · Create media on a prim scripts that communicate with our out-world event management system. · Create scripts to gather region, parcel and user information th
  2. Below is a basic walker script that's been shared around. Whenever I teleport to a person or location, it starts playing. I want make sure that it can't play until (let's say) 5 seconds after every teleport. It's because I already have a teleport sound player, so I don't want them both playing at the same time. I've tried adding llSleep(), but that just causes it to play 5 seconds later, even though I'm not even walking by then. I just want it to act as if I didn't walk at all no matter what my avatar does during the 5 seconds after every teleport. string Snd = "Sleepwalk"; integer For = A
  3. Here's an example of an avatar bumper sound script. Is there a way for it to only detect horizontal collisions such that if you tp on someone's head, it doesn't play. This is for people with tp sounds because one sound will interrupt the other. float volume = 1.0; //Volume 0.0 - 1.0; default { collision_start(integer num) { if(llDetectedType(0) & AGENT) { llStartAnimation("lulz"); llPlaySound(llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_SOUND,llFloor(llFrand(llGetInventoryNumber(INVENTORY_SOUND)))),1.0); llSetTimerEvent(1.0); } }
  4. I'm trying to get a boolean value for whether or not I am seated on an object not counting the ground.
  5. // Play a sound whenever the owner is walking integer gWasWalking; // TRUE when wearer is already walking string gSound = "Sleepwalk"; // name of soundfile in inventory default { state_entry() { // Start a timer to continuously check if the owner is walking llSetTimerEvent(0.25); } timer() { integer NowWalking = llGetAgentInfo(llGetOwner()) & AGENT_WALKING; if (NowWalking != gWasWalking) // walking has stopped or started { llStopSound(); if (NowWalking) llLoopSoun
  6. I'm looking to unseat everyone who sits on a particular object except for the first person to sit on it.
  7. Just in case you missed the post in the LSL Scripting forum, upcoming changes to LSL http-out are now live on some beta grid regions. Details are in the original post:
  8. Hello, I'm not much good at scripting but I've been making a very simple interactive pet, it has sounds on touch and you can pet it and change it's name but i was wondering since i can't find it anywhere i have looked would a percentage system such as a hunger bar that decreases over time and a menu button that increases the percentage be a lot of work, i have looked everywhere for a percentage based script and pet script but I've only come across breedables which are to much for what i want, don't want people to pay for food only role play, thanks a lot I'm a big noob

  10. Hello: Need a little help. I have two scripts in a a mesh text that rotates around an object. One script is for the rotation. The other script is to blink the bright texture on/off. This script has llresetscripr in it. For some reason, the reset script in this blinker script is resetting the rotation script and causing the rotation to reset to it's starting point per the blinker script timer. Why is it doing this as these are two totes different scripts? If I // the llsleep & llresetscrip the blinker script does one off/on timer cycle, stops and stays on bri
  11. Hello people of the LSL forum! I've been dabbling in LSL the SECOND my college classes ended. I recently learned about particles (except for targeting), and I thought maybe particles is a weird start to LSL? I decided to make a post here! In your guys' opinion, what do you think is the most important things to learn for LSL as soon as possible?
  12. The first post just wanted to share some code to create an experience teleporter. If you feel you can make it better please post it here. The variables on top teleportme is where you want to go on the sim textdefault is the title over head which will automatically be changed and reset I used and read the following articles, Please read the following to understand the code http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlAgentInExperience https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlRequestExperiencePermissions https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGetExperienceErrorMessage vector
  13. Has anyone heard any news on when, or even if, LL are going to add functions to control projector lighting ??

  15. Hello folks, As the title say, i'm looking to be hired as scripter. I know well the Linden Scripting Language (LSL) and many others (especially web languages like PHP, HTML5, ASP.NET with MVC, JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular). If you need, i can also create projects in: C, C++, C#, Delphi, Perl, Python... I have many customers in SL (since approx 3 years) for custom full permissions LSL scripts mainly. I'm available for any small or mediums projects. I speak mainly French but i'm able to tchat in English (No english voice). I'm also good for security and hacking if you need t
  16. I'm trying to figure out how to script an object to automatically send a test message to a large number of channels, one at a time. My end goal is to figure out which channel another scripted object I own is listening for. Alternatively, if anyone knows a better way to do that, I'm all ears.
  17. Not my first rodeo scripting, but I don't do it enough to know the language that well. I'm trying to have an object raise 2 meters and turn 90 degrees while it's raising. So one smooth motion. The problem is that I don't really know what function I should be using to get it to do that. I have scripts that I use to raise things and to turn things, but to combine them is a separate problem that appears to require a different function then what I'm acquainted with. When I dig into the functions it's hard to find one that does what I want it to and it seems that I'm spending a lot of time just try
  18. I want to make a script with Animating texture (rotates the texture in one face) which is glowing/scaled like this https://gyazo.com/21c8f0c2c8bd418c931141a8f2f0f661 Help is appreciated.
  19. Hi! I have an application working at the moment that I'd like to rewrite in a much more friendly way and I wonder if you guys and girls can help? I have a game that rezs many prims. It's up to the player but there might be a hundred or more. The region's the limit, theoretically. When the game is over, all the prims (which are all very close by and very close together) need deleting. Currently they all have a 'listen' in them, listening on a particular channel for the 'Clear' command, whereupon they 'die'. I would love to not be creating scores or even hundreds of listens! So I am wonderin
  20. Hello, I am fairly new to lsl scripting, but have some programming experience. I am currently working on a project that includes some dialog menus, which are more complicated than any I have previously worked on. Functionally, the code is working (as far as I can tell), but I'm wondering if there is any way to streamline or simplify what I've written. The attached diagram is supposed to show how the menus are organized, sorry if it's confusing. Basically, the part that gets really really long is the control flows associated with levels B and C. For each choice in level B (B1 - B10) t
  21. Hello, I have searched for an answer to this question, but either don't understand the answer or am not finding what I'm looking for. I think the problem lies in my understanding of the way dataserver events (or events in general) work. Please let me know if my explanation is confusing. (1) Is this how the dataserver event works?: When I request a notecard line using llGetNotecardLine("My Notecard", 2), the dataserver event is triggered. Inside the dataserver block I can access whatever string is returned from line 2 in "My Notecard" and manipulate it (or whatever I'm trying to
  22. Goodmorning everyone, I am Maxence Zepp, I am a young businessman in Real Life and I wish to extend my abilities in Second Life, where dreams became true. I wish to develop a Magical-Combat HUD, in order to create a complete RPG world. That's why I am looking for PROFESSIONAL Scripters. At first, mostly for estimations. 23. Okay, so I've gotten my product (virtual pets/breedables) all hooked up to a database using PHP and SQL nicely. However, I've run into an issue. When two animals are created in the same second, they both get the same reply from the server. I'll explain how it works below: The animal is born, POSTs a "create me" message to the server with system password, basic info on the pet (parents, etc), and the owner key. PHP script sees it and does its thing, making the pet (traits etc) and creates a row in the database with all the pet's info and the owner's key, pet ID is "number of rows" +1. PHP s
  24. Hello group. I have the following problem: on my region i have via Region Details (ALT+R) "Restrict pushing" enabled. yet someone has fun by setting up new avatars and firing a weapon that pushes everyone in a radius of 20 meters around. And really forceful, so that the victims fly across 2 full regions. The viewer menu "Help- Bumps, Pushes, Hits" shows no entries. What function could possibly do that? or what other method? and what counter measures, other than banning young accounts or forbidding rezzing and scripts, could be used?
  25. Hi I have written asking about this mystery a couple of times before but no one seems to have any idea, which I find difficult to believe, so I'm trying again with a fresh example. There is a particular technique of animating a mesh object that I am seeing that utterly baffles me and I wonder if any smart mesh coder out there can point the way for me? Now one method I'm familair with is by combining many models together, each with a slightly moved posture, linking them all together into one multi-limbed monstrosity, then using LSL to switch them all invisible but one, then cycle th
