Dear rasterscan,
The following product has been automatically unlisted due to banned text: lol gestures - box of laughs - 5 gestures pack.

You people really need to start telling us people what words you are finding bannable. Driving me round the twist redoing and redoing and redoing the advert, wondering what word is offensive to your eyes cos I cant find it.

I know this thread's been in active a while, but I didn't know if it was better to start a new one or not. I got this same message and on of my products was delisted. I think the word it picked was "Snipe", which happens to be the name of the boat my product is for. A fairly well selling boat. My other Snipe related boat products have been on MP longer and have not ever been delisted. So I thought, ok maybe it's a different word? But I can't fathom what it finds as a banned word?

Here's the link as long as it lasts until they delist it again?

Here's the screenshot with all the text I have.

If it delists again, is there anyone I can contact about it? The help link seem particularly non-helpful.

So, you don't think "Ferrari" and their logo might be the problem?

This right here is almost certainly the reason. Attribution of trademarked and copyrighted branding/logos isn't permission. Get a letter from Ferrari saying you have the rights to use their logo and branding, show it to LL, and that might solve the problem. Reading the text I can't see any other reason, it has to be the use of a obvious brand.

That is certainly interesting, as a casual user may assume "banned words" is more like "profanity", etc.

I guess LL never got around to using more specific, helpful communications messages for when a user has a listing removed due to "infringing or unauthorized content", etc.

There is no option to report such an infringement either unless it's YOUR content being infringed upon.  I suppose that's why all that trademarked content is still up on the MP.  Maybe Ferrari did file a complaint?  We'll never know.

Unless there is a "popular brands" filter, then listing would be caught "up front when posted" (like actual profanity is).

I'll go out on a limb a bit and say that I figure since I'm not using their indicia to sell race cars or anything outside of a digital representation that is almost useless outside of the platform it's made for, that it is fair to use. If that's wrong, that's fine. It's not a hill to die on, and as such my works are fairly innocuous. Maybe "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" isn't the best defense, but there's a ton of content that seems to be allowed on MP and in-world that, if you stretch it is in more directly in competition with "real" brands (i.e, a virtual dress after a RW dress designer). As such, my works are intended as a way to show love and support as a fan. In this case for popular and fast F1 motorsports teams.

But as a few of the replies have suggested, there wasn't a message that my content was in violation for using copyrighted material or some IP violation, it was for the use of a
"banned word", which has an entirely different connotation.

As it is, it seems the removal of "Ferrari" (which, by the way is a surname used by many people not directly associated with the car company) has allowed the item to stay.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I appreciate it.
