AES is the most advanced male body in SL thus far.

The body is hardly the most advanced in SL.  The fact it hasn't seen an update since 2018 is troublesome.  That it will never be BOM or that it will never have a seamless fit with any other mesh head aside from it's own is a serious issue.

I get it.  People get attached to it for some reason.   But calling it the most advanced?  Hardly.

Signature have a new male body And all of the signature bodies are very well supported. That's the newest one I'm aware of. Other than that  Jake, Legacy and Inithium are the most commonly used bodies and the most supported by shops.

Luis Briefs!

Legacy (natural looking)

SIGNATURE

Signature Davis (nicely detailed)

Belleza Jake (if you're a queen this is the one for you. Lots of women's clothing options too)

ROSE

Inithium (big muscles, even bigger nipples)

I forgot what avatar I had logged in, strolled over to KUNST and bought a set of rigged rings.

Ehm.... It was the avatar with Slink body. And the only hands supported is Legacy, Belleza and Signature. It is only my fault, of course. If I choose to have more than one avatar, I must pay attention to who I log in.

I am not deleting the rings, I can use them when I finally get enough of using a body that's not supported anymore.

Legacy & Signature might go on sale for the Black Friday weekend. Belleza bodies are still "on sale" now (likely their price for good now).

*perks* Where? I need a list (and do they support Legacy too, or just Jake?)!

From a Google search of "Jake Gown Second Life" I found these MP stores:

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/164498

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/174439

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/242768

There was another designer doing fantasy gowns that I posted before, but can't find now.

Gotta eighth... Ninth... Tenth? List count...

Jake is my own personal preference on a guy, followed by Legacy, and then bringing up the rear (not really, cuz the butt is basically concave) is Gianni. All are very well supported, just be aware that if you go with legacy, don't get the Athletic version, it has lead support.

I have athletic and my body is quite glitchy when I change clothes. Sometimes parts of it remain invisible even when I'm not wearing an alpha. With most clothing brands the alpha is built in. My friend has regular legacy and this doesn't happen to him.

You're not the first person I've heard this from, Rob... It's unfortunate that you can't "do an exchange"... That body seems to have some alpha/rigging issues.

Regular male legacy body never got a high altitude fix unlike perky/legacy F (and athletic was released without that issue already). So it looks pretty awful anywhere, but the ground level with lots of seams on it. Some auto alpha issues is not much of an issue compared to it.

So unlike your suggestion in the other message, I would suggest completely the opposite - get an athletic over the regular one, it fits 95% of regular legacy clothes and doesn't burst into seams.

IIRC the Gianni is the only Singature body that has been "successful" and garnered wide-spread third-party support.  The Geralt body, which was released shortly after Gianni, only got a small fraction of the support that Gianni has. Same for their female body, Alice. I would argue that the new Davis body has yet to prove itself.

Yeah, I can't tell you how many guy friends I had that bought Geralt and regretted it. It's sad too, because overall, I liked the look of Geralt's musculature over Gianni's.

Davis looks good as well on the few guys I know that have it, but I fear it'll be the same as our (female) Erika body.

I agree, Geralt's geometry was much more realistic and scaled a lot better with the muscle sliders than Gianni.  I sort of understand the market factors that made Gianni the top male body, but I would be lying if I said I didn't low-key resent it's success. From my perspective, its a rather unattractive body.
