catwa HD pro and hair

anyone else have this issue.. i have tried so many of my hairstyles..but nothing seems to fit this catwa HDPRO head.. i have even tried making the head super small.. but all my hair still.. doesnt work. ..magicka, stealthic, and truth.. ive also tried "hiding" the scalp in the hud.. but that only hides the back part of the skull. halp?

.. ps, i really really love the eyes.. they are gorgeous..and they stay in one spot. lol..

welp. im an idiot. ... i figured it out for myself.. it was the eyebrows i previously had on for genus >_< ..

if you ever get the same issue.. its eyebrows..!

This is what happens when people make the eyebrow-shaper (which is really the old system hair) by only slapping a transparent texture on the system hair without bothering to use the sliders to also shrink the hair into the skull. If it's mod, you can fix it yourself using the system hair sliders.

Hello, so I am wearing the Catwa HD Pro eyebrows as you said and I am still going through the same thing. Did you happen to find anymore fixes for this? Would love to know finding hair is impossible!!

Try one of the default avatar eyebrows and then mod to your liking.  OR go get the eBody FREE body and use that hairbase. For sure it works

Often the system hair settings are causing these issues. Don't look out for the name system hair. It mostly has other names. Eyebrow shaper for example or bald hair. Search for an icon that looks like a wig. Firestorm users can find it in appearance/edit outfit. See screen shot. Click tool  icon. A new window opens. See screenshot 2. Choose "style" in menu bar to edit the system hair. Set all sliders to 0 and check, if the issues are gone. Basically it should work in all viewers in the same way.

   In addition to setting all the hair styling sliders to 0, you can change the texture to an alpha - not that it matters a lot, but it will save you from having a visible ball of hair inside of your head if someone's cam goes through it, or if you're loading in for someone and the hair appears before the head.

   The problem in the OP is that, whilst the texture is a full alpha, the sliders weren't reduced to 0, which causes it to clip with the mesh hair - and, alpha + alpha = glitch.

Another thought specifically for Catwa HDPRO is that it might not be the eyebrows. I've noticed since switching from old Catwa to HDPRO that it seems - bigger - and I had to make more tweaks to my head shape (particularly head length and forehead angle) to make sure that parts of my skull weren't poking through. I've needed to switch to bigger hair sizes where they are available, and I'm making more use of the feature in the hud to alpha the back of the head. 

If that's the case, it's going to look similar to this (I'm deliberately wearing Magika's smallest size here to demonstrate):

The alpha skull option is on the Settings tab of the hud (the cog-wheel near the bottom) and it's the first icon at the top, that looks like a white head with a black cap on it. Click that and the parts that are poking through the hair will go invisible.

Thanks so much, you guys are so great for helping!! I would love to know how to make it an alpha, I was able to go in and make sure the sliders were at 0. Maitimo yes I am using the scalp alpha but sometimes you see some red brain through the hairline. They should give us a brain alpha hah hah and then we'd have even more hair options.

You can turn off the brain on the head HUD.  It's the brain icon.

I wear Majer Soft, I found some of my new and older Doux hairs has bleed through but found Izzie's - BOM Layers (Omega Hairbase), which now comes in BOM fixes that issue. I can now happily wear those odd few troublesome Doux hairs again, so I'm happy and I copied the hair base into folder of the hair so don't have to rummage and included pictures. 

Deliberately included hair names so people know what hairs are so they don't ask; LOL!  May be more the hair base works with but these few Doux hairs I found that hair base fixes the issue.

If you have any hairs that include an alpha layer that doesn't hide the ears unless that's what you also need give them a try you wont suffer from any bald patches
