PrudenceAnton
The demand for new Linden homes is high and the topic of a new theme release coming in the next few months/weeks has everyone in anticipation; I know many of us have gone over to look at the new camper/trailer theme at Second Life's 16th Birthday celebration. They are colorful, cozy and look like they'd make an adorable home. The parcels will be 512 with 175LI and I'm sure creators will make some built ins or add ons to spruce these dwellings up as well. So what is out there in the styles for the campers/trailers? I walked around the campsite lake again today and took some snaps of each one. There are 8 models so far displayed. If there are more to be released in the hud, they were not on display. I know some are not excited about the smaller parcels or little homes, but I feel many would enjoy just having a cozy little home and some will absolutely love these. Find below in the next few posts, some names and images (exterior & interior) of the models out there. Perhaps do a little decorating planning? I have had some vardo homes in SL and have decorated them up so colorful and cozy, keeping my LI low, so I could do more around the exterior. Here you'll find the LH Camper/Trailer Controller to select your model from. The Newport Camper. A cozy, small camper with a pop out window in the back. The Sequoia Trailer. A long, sleek trailer with pop out windows on the front side and the back. 4

The Laramie Camper is a traditional 5th-wheel styled camper. Edited July 5, 2019 by PrudenceAnton 5
PrudenceAnton
The Sun Valley Camper is an adorable, smaller cozy camper with a pop up window and sliding doors opening to a small deck. The Shan Trailer is a long, air stream model trailer with elegant detailing inside and out, along with a built in awning over the door. 7
Sylvia Tamalyn
Even though I think they are smaller than I might like, the layout is quite a bit like the houseboats and we've seen some really cool decorating jobs done in those. I'm looking forward to seeing what people do with them!
PrudenceAnton
The Colorado Trailer is a vardo styled trailer. It has a nice large covered porch and home like interior. The Tiny House Trailer is just that. A beautiful tiny home with a split level and double doors opening onto a private balcony. Well, many tiny homes are modified from other things, like a bus, or a *quickly glances around* ...horse trailer. But, I'm not confirming or denying the modifications. It does look rather spiffy in the exterior wood textures from the hud menu. 😉
karynmaria
I think these campers are super cute and if I wouldn't have gotten a house, I would have went for one of these. Sometimes I find smaller spaces easier to decorate.

MattNight84
I think they are nice. Some people might just want a small place for camping, etc. My fave is the tiny house one.

Still I fail to see what on earth in the way of furniture I could put in a trailer! But I am sure once our Decoration- Queens show theirs I will be eager to try!

Sometimes I find smaller spaces easier to decorate. I actually agree with this. I find smaller spaces far easier to decorate as I prefer a more lived-in look that isn't typically display-home style. It's easier to achieve a cluttered homey feel with more objects crammed into a smaller space than it would be having them in a larger space. This is ideal for OOC homes. Perhaps not so much for RP or for those who like to have lots of people over to visit, or have larger families, or more than one person living in and utilising the space. I'm still deciding whether to make the switch. I really do like some of the camper models, and they're the smaller models too. Seems like a fun challenge if nothing else. And I have to admit, if the landscaping I've seen at the display models are anything to go by I might just have to switch because it looked rather peaceful too.

PrudenceAnton
Role playing on a medieval-fantasy region, we have a campsite of around 7 vardos. Over the last few years, on different regions of roleplay, I have had a vardo a few times that I managed to decorate up more flashy and stylish than any solid building home and loved it! I did some decorating in smaller vardos only using 16 LI! And it was cuuute! Most of the slightly larger vardos I have used between 50-75LI and they are so pretty inside. I have found using some of the smaller kitchens or simple cooking stove works best and a pillowed sofa or daybed is the ideal set up for a versatile open bedroom/sitting area combo. Some of my favorite details are using beaded or draped curtains and bookcase dividers with lots of low 1LI decorations. I've linked them up to reduce the LI. If there is not too many windows, the window box flowers and potted plants with a cute porch chair is perfect for these tiny homes. I can't wait for the release of this next theme so we can all see the flash of style that new residents put into their new camper/trailer/tiny house homes! THINK BOHO!!! 🥰These 3 images are medieval in style, but you get the general idea. Edited July 6, 2019 by PrudenceAnton
Alyona Su
I walked around there again yesterday and this time I went inside each. Those things are a lot roomier inside than they look, I was very impressed. I'm considering abandoning my house to go for one of there. It's not bout the size of the parcel to me as it is about the aesthetics, the mood that this theme brings. And here's a fact: no matter how large or small your SL Home is, Linden Home or not, how much non-AFK camping time do you really spend there? I'm thinking one these little plots and a 512 on Mainland would be the way to go (for me, obviously).

I wondered, "whats a vardo"? so went googling, & found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLZtljVoRjI & had visions of duplicating it in SL, haha. Right down to the people, they'd make great avatars. 😄 I see a great future for the campers.
