Fionalein
Btw. if you are going to influence some startup's stock value because you want to buy it whole cheap you have to hit some random targets as well, don't just attack the primary target, that would be like playing with open cards,... Attacks are cheap, a good coverup costs a bit more... Edited November 2, 2018 by Fionalein

April Linden confirmed that the login issues this past Sunday (US) were due to DDoS attack. If I run across the post again, I"ll link it. Frankly, I think the log in issues that have been on going all week are symptomatic of that attack. Either because something got really messed up or the attack is being continued. Not even close to accurate. They are little more then a pretty display watching a few common ports. They miss a lot of the traffic and a lot of the attack styles. They also don't truely show the source of any attacks, just intermediate steps of them. Mostly, ignore those Maps, their only real purpose is to "Wow!" boardroom people into spending money on security.

They posted a blog about the Sunday downtime being DDoS. Since everything since then has behaved the same, we've been going under the assumption that all the later ones have also been DDoS attacks. 16 minutes ago, Fionalein said: There is much emotion involved in games. There is always something like a DMZ option available to prevent this crap. Some are better equipped to handle it than others. It takes a lot of money to have enough equipment to handle an attack - and that means a larger company than what LL is.
