I buy $ 5000 L at a time. I'm not conscious of how much the service charge is. To me it's just part of the exchange rate.

When I buy L$, which is pretty seldom these days, I buy in large bulk, usually US $50.  Typically I just rob all of my alts though.  The last time I actually purchased L$ was to buy land.

I usually buy around $30 at a time so it isn't too significant a difference for me, up from 3% to 5%. 50 cents is.. well, it won't even buy a packet of crisps.

Given that the current fee is $1.00, I hope you are kidding.  Otherwise, you have paid a fee of almost $30 for your $60 worth of L$.
