How long is the Pregnancy Cycle in SL? Is it 6 or 9 weeks?

Hey !! I currently wear maitreya but I'm looking to buy a new body and I'm split between Legacy or Reborn. I'm getting the new body for pregnancy. The legacy body is 5k. The reborn body is currently at 3.5 k which would be the price for the body and the bjork add on.I could potentially carry on wearing the body after pregnancy , so the longevity of the body is somewhat important. The legacy pregnancy body has a lot of clothing options, it fits legacy clothing whilst pregnant and when you go back to regular shape after pregnancy. The reborn body with the add on has limited clothing options and the clothes are very overpriced, but once pregnancy is over there are a lot more options at reasonable prices. I'm leaning towards legacy but I'm concerned about longevity. It seems reborn is very popular and looks like it will stay that way. Really split on whether to get reborn or legacy. Any advice is appreciated.

A solar "day" in SL is only 4 RL hours long. So, there are 6 SL "days" in 1 RL day, or 24 RL hours. A human pregnancy lasts 40 weeks, or 280 RL days. 280 SL "days" in SL is 46.6 RL days. So, an "SL Pregnancy" would be six RL weeks and 4 RL days - according to SL's 4 hour solar day.

As I am recalling now from the blog post, which I have not seen since it originally appeared, I think the post was referring to a certain adult pregnancy hud. In that case actually, one does not need a dodgy viewer, they need only to have the hud itself, as it broadcasts others in the area who are using it.

I have noticed that a lot of stores and events lately have put up orbs that will chuck out people wearing Bloodlines attachments (got yeeted from a popular hair store when I forgot I had the Nexus attachment on). I do criticise the system for how 'dumb' it is (you can't actually use the Nexus for anything without the HUD, the Nexus is just a connection thingy - which I do usually take off because scripts, but since it's invisible I sometimes miss it - and also, I've seen no resurgence in spampire hordes to warrant it, but then I am known to live under a rock sometimes). But perhaps something of that style could be useful in some venues. If an avatar is wearing an 'underage' body, they probably shouldn't be in a BDSM club. If someone is wearing a combination of an underage body and genitalia/pregnancy stuff/'I've gone gotten gooey' attachments, that too could perhaps be detected automatically (this should ideally not be a by-venue thing though, but something LL should monitor across the grid at all times - if at all feasible, I don't know how that would work from a technical standpoint though). Of course, no such solution will solve the whole problem, as people do make shapes that very much appear to be teenagers at best with many of the 'mainstream' bodies (particularly when combined with something like perky/petite and having a very juvenile-looking face). But it'd be a step, at least. I would guess that at least a significant portion of people who actually do this sort of thing probably do it in the privacy of their own homes, rather than somewhere they might get caught doing so, and whilst I'm generally all for adult, consenting individuals doing whatever they want within the privacy of their homes, this particular issue might just be alarming enough to warrant LL taking severe precautions (although I'm not saying they should go 'ah-hah! Here they wear this and this at the same instant, permaban!', but rather 'this combination is dodgy, we should look into it').

It's a Mama Allpa hud and they're available on the MP. The only other thing you NEED is a male appendage. Plenty of those on the MP as well. Things can get more realistic if she owns female genitalia although not necessary. There are also pregnancy bodies available, again, not necessary. It's all RP anyway so how in-depth you want to get is entirely up to you. I'm sure someone will give more details.

I don't know anything about the pregnancy options but as a mostly happy Legacy owner I'll mention a couple of things to check while you're demoing to make sure you can live with them: Spend some time using the Styles part of the HUD and make sure you can live with it, especially the fact that you have to have Media enabled to use it (just the Styles part, though, and you can turn Media off when you're not). Personally, I almost never use the Styles tab of the HUD, aside from the initial setup to turn BoM on, because it suuuuuucks. I even bought mesh nails to avoid using it (Cazimi Ballerina nails, best L$1 I ever spent) unless I need to paint my toenails. Note that you can turn the body's nails on and off with gestures now, it's just painting them that requires the HUD. Get some demo garments that are scripted to activate the alpha cuts, and try putting them on and then taking them off a few times. Notice how slooooow the alphas get painted back in. A real shocker if you've switched from literally any other mesh body. Try it on a laggy sim for real agony. I just avoid things that activate alphas, which my personal style allows, but if you like lots of cover and you also change your clothes a lot this may really be a problem for you. If I could have gotten the shape I wanted with eBody Reborn I probably would have gone with that instead, but Legacy was the only popular body that did what I wanted. Both bodies seem to be popular enough to be well supported by apparel creators so I don't think you can make a bad choice here.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! So, I have tried with the Bork Mommy Mode add-on. The challenge there is almost no one is designing for it and out of the few who are, I've actually bought stuff from them but it is not to my personal style or quality for the most part. I purchased a pair of shorts that sent my complexity skyrocketing, which was tragic because I was hoping to lean on some of that designers stuff during the pregnancy but it seems to be poorly optimized. I'm also already using a number of deformers to decrease the size of my backside, I own most of the popular ones on the market, but I've reached the point where they also do not seem to help. And I've tried using a baby mod like HOC that changes the size of your stomach with the pregnancy but I think that seems to increase the trouble with my shape so I've turned off the growth option on the HUD. I just wanted to clarify that the issue was with the slider system and not a result of anything I was failing to do or figure out. Mostly because I mentioned it to a friend who has been in SL longer than I have and they seemed baffled it would do that.. so I wanted to double check it wasn't just me messing up.

Right Im wanting it to naturally move when I walk. And Im wearing a physic from the pregnancy body folder and the only thing I see "subtly" moving is the tail bone area of my butt that makes the ends of my hair shake like crazy. But looking at the butt itself you can't see it move when walking or not stopped either unless you're zoomed all the way in

Hmm. I bought the Legacy CLassic and Legacy Pregnancy bodies. Neither bounces for the butt.

My wife and I are looking for a baked on mesh pregnancy scaler to work with Maitreya Lara for a realistic pregnancy. We have tried like tummy talkers but we use Mama allpa can anyone help us out?

Hello... me again n.nU i can't find any decent store that works with Legacy pregnancy body i've been looking in the marketplace and some random places inworld but i don't really know stores so i'd like to ask for advice *Do you know any store for Legacy pregnancy body??

I'm just so frustrated about the apparel options when it comes to this body because the body itself is beautiful. However the lack of sexy/appealing clothing is just infuriating. I was only planning to use this body until my pregnancy was over and then switch back to Slink, but i've since learned Slink has closed down and I have actually fallen in love with the LoveMomma body. I'm really not interested in paying for ANOTHER body. No big brands like Villena or Dirty princess seem to make BOM clothing. When I find a brand that does support LM, the options are so limited. They either design the outfit around pregnancy (Like making outfits with a baby on them or outfits that say mom to be, etc) which doesn't appeal to me anymore since I am no longer pregnant. When the outfit doesn't center around pregnancy, it's just a boring outfit that's not sexy or it looks straight out of 2010. There's basically no LM lingerie so I have to look for BOM lingerie and most of those options suck as well. Please, if you are a fashion creator, please start including LoveMomma fits or a BOM option. I am just so tired. Thanks for listening to my rant .

So, I'm trying to do a pregnancy shape with Ebody. However, anytime I increase the size of my stomach, it equally increases the size of my, ahem, backside. I've tried to counter it with deformers, but they provide like minimal help, if any. I'm really at a loss as to what to do. Anyone have any suggestions or explanations? I also tried to increase stomach size via body fat, but still ended up with the same problem. Just for the record my backside slider is set to 0, always because backside normally is too big for me.

If you want to go all out, Zooby sells the Love Momma mesh body. It does have some fairly good support as far as clothing goes. Not a lot but Thalia Heckroth does more conservative clothing for it. It's kind of pricey for a body but it's a lot more interactive than other pregnancy bodies I've seen. Demo is available at the Zooby store.

I was wondering why there not much pregnancy stuff for Lara skins/mesh avatars? I have wasted lindens on some that are for Lara but they have holes in them etc?

Can anyone help me with finding maternity clothes for maitreya body. I've tried every combination of maternity clothes, baby belly clothes, pregnancy clothes and so far have only found a couple of items and one dress in a variety of colors. Is there somewhere in sl or mp that i'm missing that makes these items.
