Thank you - It is kind of making sense - I tried going around a few more just now and it seems that because I have the same criteria as the PP ones that were reserved I would need to upgrade again to secure my spot in advance or wait for a very happy accident or abandon. None of the spots I landed would be a keeper boat so I would spend a long time hopping about usually seeing same parcels or upgrade to PP and pick one. With new regions I would then be in competition for those parcels with other PP ers. After seeing these PP tickets be reassigned due to errors and then offered back, both parties are going to be upset and it does not endear me to do another upgrade to the service particularly, (although it has always been quick and friendly in my personal experience in the past I got to add). In what order are the PP tickets assigned I wonder? I would hope that it is a first come first served basis based on the timestamp of a PP ticket?

I got a boat in the new releases as a premium only member, they started coming out as I was hopping other boats - but I don't understand the PP system - when I used it previously I was told only homes marked LH were reservable or at least that was my understanding of it - some of these homes were marked protected land I think? Put me right if incorrect! That glitch has happened before with a Victorian region...

This was one of my thoughts hence no PP ticket and also although beautiful, I did not see anything I would pick out of those locations. But then I am very excited for fantasy coastline releases and also to see what upgrades there are for the campers. I am still in and out of the LH thing and relocating across country in RL so have little time this month but I do check those enclosed fantasy red boxes every log on... edit (I hope at least the campers get colour picking wall options like the others but a new model or two would be a huge bonus)

Those new plantings / landscapes are really great - lush, green and floral but with boats - edit to add some photos - I am actually looking at houseboats in RL these new landscapes are spot on...

The charity ones are more fun because it is work to raise money for that charity as an event and not come out on top, everyone has a healthy competition going on and not just a popularity contest. Anyway, I hope you get to experience it!

The contests are an amazing opportunity - you feel like a million dollars just to be picked and then you freak out wondering what on earth to do but eventually you hit a stride. I've done a few of them, (H&G Expo and Christmas etc), never won, but that hasn't mattered you feel like a winner if they accept you as a contestant - good luck!

It's always Winter somewhere...

I let go of all of my LH but sometimes reboot and get one or two, build a couple of things for them and then drop them again. I don't pay annually so I don't feel tied in. As much as I like to decorate the answer for me is always about being creative and building little bits and pieces for them. I then sell those pieces so it makes sense to have an LH every so often. But usually I am using my SL to build and sell and that takes place away from LH- I can go to Bellisseria anytime and often do - I often pitch my wearable tent in the region I named and watch the sunrise. It comes down to what do you want to get out of the service? Is it constructive or just a distraction? (also to add - I rarely get a sense of ownership over anything I just let them go. Its easy enough to get others of equal greatness). I treat the LH as totally neutral - to be used for constructive purposes if we choose...

If you have Photoshop or similar you can use colour swatches and palettes from RL paint brands and have a lot of fun picking out the RGB and using them in your home. I use Farrow & Ball and Benjamin Moore they both have thousands of colours and palettes

I had a dropbox in my LH a short while before I saw the notice about them - I had no idea! But I see that from jumping around homes a bit again the info notecard is pinged out as soon as you arrive so as long as people read it...

I tried some open plan trads too and I much prefer to the originals - some great locations came up yesterday as well trad wise. I am still a boat fan but am unsure yet - greener houseboats are a def plus. But I do have my eye on fantasy coastline and I think the ultimate would be fantasy houseboats!

Yes when I won the organisers contacted me and then passed it onto the Lindens who contacted me. LL contacted through support ticket, not inworld.

I would say that they are one of my favourite themes but not sure if keeping - I wanted to check out these new styles - I do like the Holiday one it seems the closest to Williamsburg on Water but there are just too many stilt similarities I think for me

I think March at the Sl Living Expo... "March 3rd thru March 12th 2023" https://sl-living-expo.org/ Could be wrong but if there was to be a next big event that something big would be revealed at, this is my guess.

I am glad that after a really long sleep I wake up to still be able to get houseboats in new regions - whenever they do a big release of new homes to catch us Europeans but we happen to be out of tries you have to go to bed wondering if there will be anything left the next day - I am a fan of them releasing a bigger batch together.

And I wish they were driveable vehicle homes we could dock anywhere...

I think the Expo is one of the official partners? I saw a lot of effort, I was on the production team, but this is just my experience.

There is a chance that the website had a mix of info from previous years alongside this year and also the teleport is a ghost of teleport past. Some of the website info does say 2021 so the "new homes" text could have accidentally carried over.
