  1. One 5 Star review costs a merchant 10% commission to LL and a bunch of alts. Alt buys the product, you get 90% of the money back as purchase income and the alt can write a review. There is nothing more to it. Once I bought a boat. A few hours later the merchant contacted me and gave me even a bigger boat than I bought for free. Man, that guy had great reviews on the marketplace. The whole rating system is easily to influence/game and therefor quite useless.
  2. The older I get, the more I realize that I know very little about a lot of things. But that's okay, as long as the fingers of ones hand ain't all of the same length, one still can learn. /me checks his hands...
  3. So the fitting sizes for regular shapes were already sold out? And then people wonder why males don't buy much fashion in Second Life.
  4. The LOD war has been lost long time ago. Even if you personally only put out objects with great LOD , your neighbors won't. What others put up influences your world view too. Jack up the LOD factor a bit (3-4). Done. Performance will most of the time not be noticeably slower.
  5. No that is impossible. Difference with the other themes is, that the ranch parcels ain't completely flat just like with the other themes. The back yard is either slightly up hill or slightly down hill.
  6. It is pretty much common knowledge for years already, that one can't terraform in Bellisseria. It is not that the Lab holds back that kind of information until after one has signed up for one of the premium accounts. So, I think you mainly will have to kick yourself for not reading enough information before making any decisions.
  7. Is it by any chance in one of the Mediterranean sims? I had one of those neighbors a month or so ago there. That only says "time to move on" to me.
  8. [sarcastic mode] You mean, one actually has to read all that stuff? OMG. 🙀 [/sarcastic mode]
  9. If I remember correctly one can not set higher maturity levels with an account on the marketplace than one has set in the Second Life viewer. So first set the desired level in your viewer.
  10. It is not totally leveled by design. It is part of the ranch theme. I haven't had a ranch so far without the land rising or falling a bit in the back yard.
  11. Yes more digging control and as a bonus a great chance to get neighbors with screens, eyesores and totally opposite themed stuff and landscaping. All for free with the purchase prize. I personally would shell out the money for another pool. That is in the end cheaper, less chance of neighbor eyesore stress.
  12. I've ruined so many shirts over the years with trying to drink something in SL. It is always more poring the liquid over ones avatar while ones mouth is wide open than drinking. So these days I seldom drink something. And eating? Everything has a very strange plywood taste in SL, so nah.. I use drinks and food mainly as decoration.
  13. I've seen pictures from inside Walmart in the USA.... Sex is part of life for most people. Looking sexy is part of that habit.
  14. But sadly one needs a license to steal there from other grids and creators to get around.
  15. Yeah, nibbling on a prim or mesh is different, not the real thing.
  16. Monitor the sales on the homepage of the marketplace for about half an hour (Adult settings included of course) and you will know that simply isn't true. Sex might not be the main part of being in Second Life for most, and not at all for some (like me personally), but it is an essential part for a vast majority of users. No doubt about that.
  17. I would love to have these kind of threads, but trying to fit in SL in every post, just to make it look legitimate? Nah. There are other great forums about food and cooking. And why do you talk in royal plural? Unless you are the Queen of some country, that is totally out of place.
