Yes @Orwar responds. After all, isn't that the whole point of forum boards? To post something in the hope it elicits responses, conversation and debate. No, you actually said people "do not exist" after they log out. Kinda implies "not in SL, you don't matter". Considering your choice of significant other and how you both are, and judging by the conveyor belt of supporting players in pictures you post...it would be a HUGE leap to even THINK you could or would be monogamous. That being said, there is nothing wrong with open relationships or being sexually extroverted. I thought you only kept potential customers around. The people I want to keep around in my SL actually care about me as a person, and accepting of the fact that in return I care about them too. When my partner isn't online, sure I miss him, but I keep myself busy with other things (inventory, shopping, pictures etc). Your comment was that there was no reason to be faithful to someone you make a commitment to because when they log out, they cease to exist. My best friend in SL logged out one day almost five years ago, and then passed away. She truly did cease to exist. I found your analogy insulting and quite hurtful.

I recall on another thread, probably close to a year ago, I brought up how Americans should be more concerned with Covid and the rising death rates back when it was in the 80,000's instead of being out in the streets "peacefully protesting" the deaths of criminals. I was belittled, ridiculed and chased out of that thread....by you. Almost half a million people in your country dead. Makes you wonder what the toll would have been if those "peaceful protests" had been stopped as soon as they begun.

I fail to understand your logic. The person BEHIND your SL partner exists in a city or country maybe far away from you, and continues to exist even when they log out and you can no longer see them. SL people continue to exist and live, breathe and have a life when they log out. They just have the good sense to no longer be around people like you who obviously have no investment in any sort of relationships beyond what you can get from them. I fail to see how this is any different from your RL partner leaving for work and going where you can no longer see them. Going by your logic, he should fail to exist when he leaves your sight.

I can top that! This morning at 5am I was lying in bed reading a trashy novel cos I couldn't sleep and I hear the email ding on my phone. I look and it is a message from SL saying about 100 items had been returned to my lost & found folder by my other half. *insert freak out here* I log into SL on the mobile app thingie on my phone thinking I am being dumped and wondering wtf I did, and looking for him. Catch him online and ask "Hey what's up?" He had NO IDEA what I was talking about until he looked around our sim and noticed half the items had been returned....his AND mine. There was some sort of bot on the sim that he touched or did something to and it returned some of our items. So here I am wanting to put the stuff down again and fix what was fubared up....but the house is gone and it's just floating furniture and I'm going to have to wait for him to find time to log in and put it back down again. To say I am peeved is an understatement.
