  1. My favourite book of all time! It was given to me by my grandmother when I was about 14 and I fell in love with it and tend to reread it at least every couple of years. It took me a while to find a downloadable version so I can read it on my tablet...but I did and now I am in my happy place and about to start reading it for about the 100th time!
  2. No it wasn't the quoting loophole. I was seeing the "you have blocked blah blah" message and right underneath it would be that person's post. It was driving me insane....r!
  3. Today's peeve! I have blocked seeing someone's posts of insane rhetoric on these boards. The forum is a nice place for me doing that. However, I am finding more and more that I AM seeing this person's posts despite the fact I have them blocked...AND THIS IS PEEVING ME A LOT!
  4. I didn't actually bring up BLM, just the destructive protests in your city. I hope you and your family continue keeping safe.
  5. And yet you are still responding to my posts...showing it is a case of do as I say, not as I do?
  6. I am addressing the hypocriscy of cities being burned and destroyed for 10+ months and NOTHING is done about it because it is "peaceful protesting"... that is seemingly supported by the "elects". We have the same "peaceful protesting" now being done by the opposing side of the "elects" and this is the huge deal.
  7. Or all the mayors of cities being torn apart and burned down calling it a "Summer of Love" or "peaceful protests". Or the vice president "elect" supporting the rioting and burning of cities because “the people’s voices must be heard, and it is often the people who must speak to get their government to do what it is supposed to do, but may not do naturally unless the people speak loudly — and obviously peacefully.” quote link
  8. Omg you did NOT just call me Australian, did you??? Thems fighting words!!!!!
  9. That's kind of a slippery slope though, as many opinions seem to be calls to arms, especially the calls to cancel people. The cynic in me agrees with you...it is beyond fixable. The tiny optimist is hopeful.
  10. I definitely agree with you here, but for me, it is not about changing people's minds so much as accepting that it is okay to have a differing opinion and if we disagree. I actually enjoy a spirited debate.
