For secondlife only. it does not matter right now if you have 2 or 4gb. seconlife only can use 512mb for now !. But, if you want a card that is ready for new things, you better have 4gb. and i suggest nvidia card if you want to use it on new plstform 160 would be a budget card and not sure if that run well on new platform. If it's only for secondlife i think it not so difficult. If it's for sansar as example i think a 1070 is better choice. It would be nice if sansar releases graphics card requirements.

Firestorm and Secondlife work fine on th windows creator release. But i do not install geforce experience anymore since the force you to make account only to get auto updates. I use driver 381.65

If you have a nvida graphics card especially the 1000 sere. check your driver version. If it's above or equal to 381.65 that can be your problem. downgrade to version below that and try it. if it works, do not update to newer for a while. Or disable something from nvidia shadowplay or something like that can fix it to without downgrade. I have no problems.

Well, i did read in the past that the want to make sansar so it can run on mobile devices to. Not sure when. I do not think secondlife will ever cstch ip with VR, the platform is not suitable for it.

The only other new platform that's close to what sansar is doing is high fidelity. But the sure both still different. and it's unknown what can be done in sansar. As long the price is good it can be perfect. secondlife is dead expensive useless duck for me. It's more a flat graphical platform where you can do sometimes fun things. Not start the talk about the big list of other secondlife problems, like no HMD support. and am sure it can be used with blender to. it works in high fidelity. people keep hammering on the picture maya only. wrong. People that respond negative about the new plstform not get the picture right.

Not agree with this, i understand why the use NDA. And that is not to hide the truth. It's just to finish the software and remove all problems and add functionality before the open it for the public. Also in beta lot's of things can change and public would get nuts from always changing things. Besides, many crashes in software depend on the system people use. And beta software have bugs. Yes, secondlife is still crashing for people to. Nice, shame you crashed. Now am only curious what hardware you used. If your allowed to say. I expect myself that the graphics card is possible below the GF970 advise for VR.

Am not getting used to it, this forum have configured the enter key wrong. When i now oress enter i get empty line. Am told you need to use shift-enter. first that's not logic and normal on forum. second, on tablet shift-enter is not practical. So i want to have it on this forum so enter just brings me to the next line without any wrong actions that add a space. you see it already happen in this post to, useless linefeeds. This really the only big mistake on this forum, it's also a not normal functionality that no other forum use. Linden lab, please fix this.

System clothing just looks ugly, because it does not fix the bad looking system avatar. As soon you go use a better looking mesh avatar you cannot use system clothing anymore. And mesh clothing just looks better.

So the spam is blocked but not removed from unread. That explains it. I hope the fix that soon. Sounds more like a bug the a future request.

And there's the problem. on some places it's easy to spot in secondlife that things are not fluent when you rotate left or right. secondlife cannot generate the correct framerate. anyway 27fps is not really high. yes i can spot faster flickring or shimmer in lamps to. and how higher the monitor refreshrate is. it get only worse. It's pure secondlife and how things are implemented in the viewer. Oh, the secondlife viewer would be better in smoothness. sadly it's complete terrible one to use still. so i use firestorm Still valid to point at that you buy old card that need to sweat on modern platforms. in case the person want to use that.

If you want to use this system on newer platform like sansar i would rethink the graphics card. nvidia is perfect, but 970 is is the lowest card the recommend for VR. but also in desktop mode am not sure. i have gf980. But it looks like a gf1070 is the same price as gf970. best is GF1080 ? Right now not have tables in range. but i would advise todo a bit more research in graphics cards. better spend 100$ more now then 400$ later. Btw on my I7 with gf980 i cannot say secondlife runs good, the movement is never super smooth. Except on more empty sims where the framerate is at least 60fps. . The technology is to old that i do not get 144fps clientside , also the server is stuck at 45fps, that's tech limit. New platform like high fidelity is more smooth for me.

I where hoping after yesterday that linden lab would have removed the spam. Sadly, it's still making the forum useless because 99% of the unread messages is the same line.

Really, this forum system not looks bad. It looks like it's having all filter option you need. hope the use this same forum system for SanSar. I think that is going to work fine. The only need to replace the wrong 'P' html code for 'br' so i do not get a linefeed between every line when you use the enter key to format your posting. cannot find a pre format option for posting.

So far it looks pretty good.

Not sure if it's normal. But i got that last year to. I think the increased the amount of people the check.

@Alwin Alcott I would say you life in the use. Anyway, for many counteries a creditcard is not a normal and common payment system people use. Credit card compaines also demand that you have a minimum income, as example 1200 / month. before you can get one,if your i come is under 1200 / month, you not get a creditcard. . So a creditcard is still for many people a fail. My advise to the poster is to look at paypal and link that to you bank account. If you cannot get paypal i do not know any solution.

Interesting question, because am not sure if every secondlife user have a security question. I cannot remember that i got one in 2007 when registrating at 0031 So i think i do not have one, otherwise i would not know it anymore. Besides security questions are annoying and useless. The use combination wuestion/answere you not like to use. So the answere is not what the question say. This is because security. Not smart to use security question what is your town. That's to easy for criminals to get.

For safety check your spamfilter for seconflife support email. mabye the want identification information. Also check if you hour support history on the secondlife page. https://support.secondlife.com/history/ if still nothing found make a support ticket and ask what is happening. More suggestions i do not have.

When tht did happen for me it most mean i forgot to export the skelet/bones with the object. Check if you really exported the object correct.

Is this really a ban message. Or just a message that the server is still busy with logging the user out ? For me both look the same. Need to admit that the server is still busy logout message is not seen much anymore for me. If i see a window like that i try to login again a bit later Anyway if this would be a ban message, then linden lab could improve it.

Now that is intressting question ! Can people with only a first name , change or add a last name when the go to project sansar. But you can always make a new account and avatar in project sansar too. Inventory from Secondlife ou can not use anyway.
