  1. So far i know, usernames in secondlife you can bring in to project sansar. others cannot take the name. I have read it in some other posting or blog months ago.
  2. Wht graphics card do you have ? It's not going to work with the build in intel chipset. You need a strong dedicated graphics card like the nvidia gforce 970 or better 980. Besides in my eyes secondlife is never going to work good, high fidelity and sansar are as example optimized for hmd use.
  3. First, make sure you using the right firestorm viewer. the one for opensim. The firestorm secondlfe one is not working. Second, If the grid is not in the grid selector you need to add the grid yourself. info about how and whst setting you can find or need to ask the grid you want to login.
  4. Ok. i post my list, mabye asked before. All Sansar questions. What sort of input devices is supported with sansar end of this year ? examples are xbox one controller, keyboard, mouse etc. Is it possible to combine simmiliar experiences into a big experience. Or at least let them share the frontdoor. Do we need to rent server space from Linden Lab or can we run own server ? Can Experience owners make a whitelist / blacklist with avatars that can or cannot visit your experience form other experiences ? What Communication possibilities do you have inside experience and between experiences ? Is there some notification system between experiences, similar with group notices in Secondlife. Only way to know some event start as example. Is Sansar having sailable water and terrain when it's open end of this year for the public ? Does sansar use default build scale and a better camera angle ? Not the bad scale and camera like secondlife ? What is Linden Lab going todo for apple users , so the can use sansar when it's open for the public ? HMD is not important. Does sansar support larger font when it's open for public. especially on 4K screens a must. What are the graphics card requirements when public open ? Hopefull it runs on hardware that not need a Geforce 970+. It's not problem for me. but for lot's of others it is

Sofar i know this is already answered a few times in previous lab chat's Nothing is going to be transferred from Secondlfie to SanSar. Unless the owner is reuploading the content again. There's also a reason why you not want to upload Secondlife content.The owner of the contenmt need to make the step and decision. Mesh is not always suitable and need to be adjusted, creator need to reupload it. Animations are pretty useless because Sansar have much more bones, otherwise it cannot work with new technolgy textures could be reused, if the creator upload and sell them. Sounds, i think sansar can support uch better sounds. But again if the creator upload it to sansar it can be used. Sculpts are dead. inefficent, also in Secondlife. Normal prims, what is that ? Nope not in sansar. Clothing and avatar, if youuse a mesh avatar in secondlife. and the creator of that mesh avatar can port and upload it to sansar that could be used. Clothing same. as long it's mesh clothing. And the avatar is availble for the clothing in sansar and the creator have upload it into sansar you can buy and use it. Not sure if creators are going to give clothing you use in secondlife for free again to you in sansar. But that is with every asset the same. It depends on the person.
  6. For 300$ you not buy any new laptop that is suitable to run ny virtual world nice and with enough graphics quality. The problem with cheap laptops is that the have poor processors and very poor graphics chips. All cheap laptops have the graphics card build in the processor. For a good laptop you need to look at gaming laptops or laptops with dedicated graphics card. Same with desktop computers. Found on newegg 2 laptops 480$ and 475$ the 480$ one have geforce 940m and more system memory. But budget laptops in this price range are not really suitable for ultra graphics. Also in normal graphics mode for long time the can get overheated. Anyway, for 300$ you not find a new suitable secondlife laptop.
  7. Is linden lab going to use a better name for the jellybaby's ? MutedAVatars is compete wrong. Why MutedAvatars is a wrong name ? because the avatars i see are not muted on my list etc. JellyDolls is a better name. Are JellyDolls rendered normal on pictures people make ?
  8. Open google search engine. And type something like this secondlife wike avatars secondlife wike lsl or lsl <command> I never acceesed a wiki directly, harder to find things.
  9. 30.000 ? it's already so low. can remember the days that it spiked above 70.000. Well, sansar. High Fidelity looks at the end a better option. Yes both in development.
  10. I thought one of the main things Ebbe said would port is our SL name, Friendslist and our L$. Did he change his mind? Secondlife names sofar i know that still the same in sansar / can be transferred Linden dollars yes, you can transfer some to Sansar. but it's a different currency. Friendslist, dont know. why would you transfer that over to sansar, if not all friedns are in sansar ?
  11. Thinks, try to drag the texture you want go use from your inventory to the area where yor profile picture need to appear. It's long time ago i changed mine.
  12. Sounds like you removed the secondlife viewer from your computer. Download and install it again and i think it need to work afain.
  13. You can turn user placedrain off, find the object and derender all parts. Btw there's very nice rain in secondlife i love.
  14. Is the region your in working with experience tools ? If you accepted the experience before, the sim can add the wine glass temporarly to your avatar. But it never appears in your inventory.
  15. Make sure the wav is mono. stereo never worked for me, also stereo makes no sense in virtual world.
  16. It's a new platform yes, but the make a big mistake if the only concentrate on HMD devices like other developers do. HMD is not going to get intressting for a few years and is in many cases not practical in use. The hardware requirements we dont know, but Secondlife users make the same mistake the try to run secondlife on wrong hardware. Good change that sansar better run. That is why i want to know how good keyboard, mouse and chat is supported. it's a very important part to let sansar be a sucsess. Besides it need to be payable. something that secondlife is killimng , high tier. sansar is not secondlife, but as long the basic requirements are present, keyboard, mouse and chat / groups support. there's not so much difference between Secondlife private sims or project sansar. And im pretty sure you can use blender in sansar and not need maya what people think.
  17. 12. Mesh Is sansar going to have a better way to test mesh inworld, objects, clothing attachments. without creating useless assets on the server side. Do we get some temporarly upload function to test mesh ? This would lower the costs of storage.
  18. 11. Disablities Does project sansar viewer have support for people with disablities or bad eye sight ? That means that there need to be some option to set text bigger etc. (but not always icons) It's important that people with bad eye sight can use sansar too. Asking this because the secondlife viewer is not perfect in that, and it seems that now finaly after 4 years a long standing bug get fixt. Need to see it first myself.
  19. Now i use the secondlife viewer a bit more. Why is the secondlife viewer so clumpsy and not userfriendly. As example. Detach a clothig part is very difficult in the orginal secondlife viewer compared to Firestorm and Singularity etc. In the secondlife viewer you firtst need to open inventory, find the clothing part in your inventory and then remove it. And now a TPV viewer. click with the right mouse on the clothing part, click detach and your done ! Same with edit mesh clothing. you first need to rezz it on some rezzable land. then edit it. take it back. then wear it. in TPV viewer you can edit it the correct way straight on your avatar.
  20. 10. Land size How much Sqm land land does experience have in project sansar ? Can the experience grow seamless in size ?
  21. A have a few things all about project SanSar. It's sometimes hard to explain precies the question. because the amount of information current available. Some questions can mabey be read as notice to the devs if the are not important enough to ask. I have so many questions and things read that mabey some are already answered in the past. 1. Social , communication and input SanSar want to be a social platform. Is sansar more then only voice and HMD (Head Mounted Device) driven platform. Is chat, keyboard and mouse supported like we have in Secondlife or better in sansar ? Is the space navigator supported ? Do we still have inworld IM and Groups to communicate ? 2. Building Is the inworld object placement tool , just as easy as the one in Secondlife ? This question is for many very important, is sansar going to have inworld build tools like secondlife. It would make sansar much more attractive for people and let it grow fatser if the can build inworld. 3. Avatars and experiences. Last lab chat , theres some talk about avatars and experiences and the lose of your own avatar experience. Does this mean if you go from one experience to another one that the experience owner ca force you into a different body and break your experience ? Really a NoNo. Or can the experience you visit only change clothing but you keep your created avatar. That would be ok. In other words can you as experience holder choice if visitors are free to use there own avatar from other experience (unlimited avatar access) or are all visitors required always to choice from a limited range of avatars (clone feeling) before the can enter your experience ? It's important that you can keep your avatar between experiences, if the owner have enabled that option. 4. Small (sub) Experiences that form a big estate (experience) and parcels. In Secondlife it happens many times that more people own a sim. From that sim you can make a big island (estate) that exists out of small ones from different owners. Is something like this possible in sansar ? The best way is still to create a big experience out of small ones. so people still have full control on there own land. Not like you see on secondlife mainland that one owner say what you can do on the land. Otherwise is it possible to go seamless from one experience holder into other experience holder but the are both running in the same main experience. I expect that inside a experience land can be subdivided like secondlife and rented etc !? 5. Blender. When SanSar is going open for the bigger group ? summer or fall. (i hope summer 2016) Is bledner full supported with building and avatar creation for import and export. So the bggest userbase can create avatars, clothing etc. without the need to buy extra exspensive tools ? 6. Experiences Can we see experiences like sims in Secondlife. but then bigger and hopefull much cheaper and more in the price range for webhosting ? 7. Costs It would be nice to know more about what SanSar is going to cost to be there and have land or experience to be creative on. That's the problem with Secondlfie it's so extreme expensive that creativity get blocked or limited. 8. Security and privacy Is sansar having good security and privacy setting like you have in secondlife. Meaning that build access is not for a whole experience but that it can be set to a small area of land and only for that user. That again could set it to a group or give other users build rights ? Does SansSar work a bit like secondlife and people that own a sim. 9. Camera and build size What build scale is sansar going to use, because secondlife is complete wrong scaled and gives a weird experience. What camera angle is sansar going to use ? a more horizontal one like you have in secodlife would be a good choice. It really brings you more into some experience if that is combined with A real life build scale. -- END -- Ok, rigth now i cannot think about other things. Thats all folks.
  22. Not sure precies what you mean, but Secondlife, firestorm, singularity. The all need to work fineon the windows desktop. make ure you have the correct videodrivers installed. And use the latest firestorm version, if you still run older version it can be blocked by secondlife to make sure you run a good version of firestorm. And the most important rule, make ure the system meet the system requirements tht secondlife need to run well. Mean, trying to run secondlifewith intel graphics chipset is going to give problems.
  23. The following viewers work on windows 10, but pretty sure all do Secondlife viewer Firestorm viewer Singularity viewer I use them all on windows 10 with nvidia geaphics card and the nvidia reference drivers from the nvidia website.
  24. For now i still would choice the 32bit version for secondlife. because that version have the complete support for havoc. The opensim and 64bit version are missing that functionality. On windows you can run bith 32 and 64bit programs. run for years the 32bit viewer without problem.
  25. Why do people still think credit cards are the solution. In my country it's not a common payment methode. Also lot's people cannot get a credit card because. because the income. Just to let people know.
