  1. No, a telehub once set is for the entire region. You can however disable it and set the landing point for your parcel with the store where you want people to land then set the telport routing to the landing point. You'll find both in the land tools under the Option tab. You can then set another landing point for the rental parcel that is different or just leave that one set to teleport anywhere, or let your fiend decide what option they want. You tenant should be able to set home there anyway if you are going to deed the land to them. If not, you can create a group and invite you friend in a role of tenant that you create and in the Roles tab, give them that authority.
  2. You don't need a group to rez objects in your house. First be sure you are in the right house. Check to see if you are shown as the owner in the About Land parcel tools on the first tab. If you aren't double check the link that you got by email to be sure you are in the right place, or the one on your dashboard under Land Management. If you are, talk to Live Chat so that the house can be put in your name. Apparently there was a glitch.
  3. LL does not just ban on someone's report. They take the evidence that was submitted with the report, if any, and check it against their own logs to be sure it's accurate and not made up or the logs altered. They also may look at other records they have to see what if any evidence exists to back up the claim. So, it depends on what the person submitted. If they submit false or misleading "evidence" then, yes they could get in trouble for that and face action against them. If it's just their word and it's nothing like crashing a sim or other severe trouble, then LL may look on it as just a resident to resident dispute and do nothing. It also depends on what the reporter claims as griefing too. Not everything people call griefing is what LL would call it. Again they are smart enough to know the difference between a resident to resident dispute and a real griefing.
  4. A word about permissions in case you didn't know. If you want to give to one person anything in the box must be transferabel. If you want all the people there to be able to get a copy you yourself have to have copy transfer permissions on the items and should change the next owner permissions to copy or transfer. Whether they are mod or not makes no difference. Of course if you created it, you can use any permissions you care to.
  5. The group owners that pay tier for the other group land you want to contribute to have to be premium to own mainland. There is no way around this, because you can't own mainland unless you are a preimium member, regardless if you own it as an individual or group. If the land this new group owns is not mainland but on a private estate, then donating your land has no effect on the tier, because you can't use your free first 512sqm tier towards private estate tier.
  6. The short answer is you can't. You can file an AR against him IF he violates any of the Terms of Service, but stealing your wife isn't one of them. LL would consider this a resident to resident dispute and not get involved. Even if he violates one of the TOS, that doesn't mean he'll be banned for life or forever. Only LL can decide what measure to take against him and that can be anywhere from a few hours, days, weeks, or months suspension to a lifetime ban, depending on how serious a violation THEY think it is. Rarely do they ban people unless they commit a very serious offense or have been repeatedly disciplined for prior violations. You wife has free will and a mind of her own. She can make her own mind up if she wants to stay with you or not. If you give her a hassle yourself over this guy it may just push her away from you further. Calmly talk to her about it instead and find out what she likes about him and what she thinks is missing from your relationship that this other guy is providing. Then try to provide with what's missing and then some. BTW when you deal with the guy don't lose your head a retaliate by committing a TOS violation yourself. It may be what this guy is itching for and he'll report YOU.
  7. Thanks Rolig! I wish you, your family and friends all the peace and joy of the holidays too.
  8. seanabrady wrote: ...Most viewers are simpy derivatives of the LL viewer. Many of the "features" in third party viewers are actually available to everyone, but are simply exposed in an easier to access setting than you might find in the default viewer. This is very true as ALL third party viewers get their basic viewer code from the viewer code that LL releases to them and use it as a base for thier's. Many of them though go through that code and eliminate bugs before releasing theirs and, as you say, make some features in the user interface much more user friendly. This is another reason TPVs are so popular. At one time viewers were listed by the most stable to the least stable (crash rate) and for a long time Firestorm consistently was the listed as the most stable, beating the SL viewer. Now with the additional features it has, your results may vary depending on light weight a viewer you need. However, it probably is still true for many users, as significantly more people use it than the SL viewer. I will point out too that many of the features and code in the SL viewers originally were developed and introduced in third party viewers first and only then adopted by LL and included in the SL viewer.
  9. You can 'lose' an item by accidently dragging it into a prim, like a floor or wall prim, when you are rezzing it or when you are trying to drag the item some where else, like between duplicate inventory windows when sorting inventory. It's odd though that it rezzed like that. A prim needs a script in it that rezzes objects on tough to do that.
  10. About the only thing you can do to help is watermark your textures with a unque hard to replicate mark so it is easier to prove it's your's if you have to file a DMCA. Even this is not foolprooof though.
  11. Really not enough information to go on. Can you describe in a lot more detail what movement your talking about and give examples of when it occurs?
  12. Glad to help. I hope you told them why you want it removed. They should do something to the other club.
  13. Just to add from my own experience... Rolig is spot on. Get everyone that is effected (hosts, DJ's, any staff present and even as many guests as you can) to AR the individuals involved each and every time it happens and if it is a recurring pattern that they are all doing it as part of a particular MC, then be sure to put that in your report. I know this can be tiresome, but it is the thing to do if you want LL to take action. Just a couple reports filed by the same people isn't going to be effective as they'll look at it as a resident to resident dispute, which they won't get involved in. But if they are flooded with AR's from a lot of different people, referring to events that took place on different days, they eventually will. I've been involved with clubs that have had this problem and have known LL in extreme cases to delete the MC's group and forbid them to form another, ban the groups owners and officers (If this is going on in the name of the MC) and ban or suspend individual group members that participated. The owner of the region can also talk to the concierge service and tell them what is happening and that AR's are being filed and explain how it is jeopardizing the region. Concierge may just refer it to the discipline Linden's but they may be able get faster action too if enough AR's have been filed.
  14. Each person that qualifies to post for the venue may post up to 5 events a day but no one individual may post more than that. Each event MUST be different though. You can't post the same even over and over and over as that is considered spam and and could be AR'd. Each event must have a host and their name will appear in the event listing. The person posting is shown as the host. There isn't a way to enter a different name as the host. Therefore, the HOST of the event should be the one to post the event that they are hosting so their name shows as the host, not yours if you aren't hosting. If there is no seperate host, the DJ should really be the one to post since they are also hosting the event. If a manager is going to at the event, they can be the host for the purposes of posting. There are no exceptions to the Event Posting Rules.
  15. This section is for asksing questions about SL itself. We do not provide support for products made by other residents because there are too many of them out there and it is impossible to be expert in all of them. Read the instruction notecard that came with the product. If you didn't get instructions, don't understand them, or your having a technical issue, you best bet is to contact the creator, their customer service reps or join their support group, if they have one, and ask for support there.
  16. Alwin Alcott wrote: if you are using auto configuration teleporters they might see to many others. The old ones with LM in it will most likely work better. Network teleporters auto configure. The most useful ones for landlords have an ability to have more than one network. You can set this up with either a config notecard or by what you put in the name or description of the item, depending on the script. Usually this involves using a unique name for each network. The telporters that don't have that name ignore teleporters with this name. For example if a landlord wants to use the same network teleporters for all tenants but doesn't want one unit to be able to teleport to the locations another unity uses they can just use a network name for each rental. Reading the instructions for the teleporter will let the OP know if this is the kind she has. However if the problem she's having is one network having too many teleporters the instructions should tell her what the limit is per network.
  17. seanabrady wrote: You should also try downloading the latest viewer directly from Linden Lab and see if your inventory loads there. If it does not you can contact LL support to have them verfy that you do not have any broader corruption in your inventory. You have to try on the Linden viewer first though not on a third party viewer. The viewer only downloads the inventory from the asset database to a local file. Sometimes the local file is corrupt, didn't download correctly or the inventory just needs to be reloaded. There is a 99% possibility that one of the other fixes mentioned on this thread will fix the problem. If not the OP can contact the Firestorm support team, through the Firestorm support group chat, which almost always answers immediately and provides excellent service. If there is an issue with your inventory on the asset server any and all viewers would be effected the same way. In addition, you can't talk to Live Chat or file a support ticket for this problem unless you are a premium member. The only support ticket available for inventory issues for Basic members is if you can't rez an object in your inventory.
  18. I agree with Alwin. I really can't understand why you want to close your business so people can't enter. No one can steal anything. A better solution would be to post a sign with your business hours on it and who to contact for support during those hours, if applicable. The same message should be in any appropriate employees' profiles as well as your own. It also could help to have online indicators.

I want to limit the number of links possible it helps with rezz in time and it does lag your viewer to have so much in your inventory. I been in sl for 6 years and have under 20,000 items in my inventory.. I know people who been her 4 years and have close to 100,000 in thiers. Trying to keep stream lined as possible. Nova's answer doesn't mean you have to have many bodies. If you haven't already, save just two bodies if that is all you want to do. Then save each outfit and within the outfit folder delete the links to you don't want to change, in this case the links to the bodies you've already saved. That way you only have two bodies in your outfits. Of course the picture you choose to use for the Visual Outfit Browswer won't show the outfit on both bodies just the one you happened to be wearing at the time you took the picture. You may want to take a picture of each body just wearing the body alone (naked) so you have a visual to use in the gallery.
  20. The only limits I know of and that are listed in the wiki is that the highest you can teleport is 4096sqm and the maximum speed of the teleport can only be 10 teleports per 15 seconds. Other than that, without seeing the script and how you set it up, on a config notecard if there is one, it's hard to tell what the problem may be. Some teleport systems may limit the number of destinations or range, or you could have made an error setting it up. Check the instructions and your configuration carefully. If the system has no limits and you're sure you set it up right, maybe the sim needs to be restarted. If that doesn't work, you should ask the creator of your teleporter about this problem or post your script and any config notecard, if you wrote it or have an open source one you use, in the LSL scripting section.
  21. ChinRey wrote: Well, as I said it's probably all about working styles and perhaps habits. Those copy/paste buttons are actually one of the the main reason why I won't use Firestorm to build sicne they mean I can't tab directly between the entry fields. It may actually be a question whether you prefer to use keyboard or mouse button for operations that can be done both ways. (Except to me it's not really a question of preferences but necessity, I spend so much time in front of the computer I had to make it a habit to minimize mouse use to keep my arm from falling off from fatigue. ) Anyway, go for whatever floats your boat but do not for a minute think that your preferences is the right for everybody else. I'm not sure what you mean by this. You can tab between the entry fields in Firestorm, I do that all the time when I am not copying the x,y,z of another prim. The buttons don't prevent this. I do agree that it's mostly about styles and habits, but Firestorm makes building much faster for me too. However everyone should use the viewer that is the most comfortable for them for and that runs best on their computer. As I pointed out earlier, some people use several viewers depending on the task at hand.
  22. It depends on what you want to update as to whether the Destination Guide editors will accept the change. Although I am not sure, they would be within their rights to remove the destination from the guide if, in their opinion, the change is too great. They may decide to come and inspect the location again to be sure it still meets their standards. Explain in detail what you want updated. If it's the location, include an accurate SLurl. Be sure to be clear about the name of the destination as it appears in the guide, probably the category too, and specify you are the owner or tenant of the land or owner of the group that owns the land. You can email at editor@lindenlab.com

  24. There are offices that you can rent that include conference rooms or even larger meeting spaces. Some of them are on seperate parcels where you can restrict sound carrying outside the parcel and/or even close the parcel to people on an access list if you don't want any people dropping into the meeting or want to discuss private matters. I'd try a meeting or two in a free space first and if you would like to continue, then rent an office. If you see a future in it, you may eventually want to buy or rent land and erect your own prefab office or have one built to your specifications. Depending on how many people are meeting at a time, you may not need a big place or even much land if you eventually decide to go this route.
  25. I am not worried about what others think, I was just expressing my opinion of what I think of your post. Thats what forums are for. And making a post that explains how to break the the rules without getting caught takes no "skillz". I'm sure I've seen this happened before occasionally and thought this was what was going on, so it's not even an original thought. But I do agree that the rules should apply to everyone equally. I won't comment on the quality of the moderation, since that's against the rules too. :smileywink:
