Several people had done that that I know of. I loved the effect. Motion sensors without the motion sensors. I sometimes wonder if the new features that eliminate being able to do such things without using a ton of scripts are really worth losing some of the ways we've found to work around limitations.

That is precisely how it was. You would never see more than 6 lights on at a time no matter how close they were to your avatar. There are 4 lights!

You must have missed the part where I said I don't TRUST. It is not impossibe to use a service you don't trust especially when it is the only service available of its kind. Kind of like how you can only have Comcast and not some other cable in your area because it simply isn't there. You either use Comcast which you do not TRUST or you do without. I don't trust anyone. I've been stabbed in the back one time too many.

That pretty much leaves me out since I'm neither relevant nor appreciated in the "art world". You could say I'm a complete unknown.

Well... before I met Dmitri they got dog food, venison, rabbit, mice... things like that. After Dmitri, since he no longer hunts, dog food, beef and bison.

My hand is my measuring spoon/cup. But then I did, years ago, go through the trouble of learning to judge how much by dumping tablespoons, teaspoons, half teaspoons, etc into my hand for a visual. About the only recipes I follow to the letter or pretty close to as far as measurements go, are baking and pastry type things. Just regular everyday cooking, I season to taste and usually don't even need to use my hand. So basically, nothing I cook ever tastes quite the same as the time before because it is slightly different every time. Just ask Dmitri. He's been eating my cooking for almost 20 years now. And I haven't used the rat poison... yet. 👼

All the measurements and ingredients and step by step instructions (that was just how the cooks in the family were, the ones that came after me... not so much) were there. It was just something she did different that she never wrote down. It could have been something as simple as a particular brand of rum or whether it was light or dark. Or even the flour could have been non-bleached rather than white or light brown sugar instead of dark. It was those kinds of "secrets" that have been lost. It makes me sad.

Without going into reasons that are personal...you have to have money to make any money. I don't have any money. I don't have any means of getting any money any time soon. It is that cut and dried.

That's about as far as I trust people in general.

This one is on me, not you or anyone else. To me, it's like accepting charity. I can't do it that way. It just feels wrong to me.

I'm in kind of a Catch 22 situation. I don't have the money to get the materials I need as "proof" of my ability (and I'm not just trying to scam people) so setting up any kind of patron account is pointless as I don't currently have anything to "show". You got have money to make money. I simply don't have it and likely never will. That's just how it is.

There is no such thing as a good fruitcake. Unless it was one made by my great-grandmother. Her secret died with her.

I think I'll just go peddle my art elsewhere outside of SL.
