I already have a received items folder for the MP. That isn't what I am talking about. I'm not interested in having to learn yet another viewer. I'm happy with Firestorm. I don't want everything going to the same folder. I would just have to move it to the one I want it in just as I have to do now. That defeats the whole purpose. A dropdown that lists all of the main folders (not Inventory or Library) so that I can chose where it goes each and every time I unpack a box. Fair warning: I am subject to come unglued on the next person that advertises Catznip to me. I don't want it. Stop trying to foist it off on me. I know what my needs are. You do not. It is that simple.

I'll be happy when someone finally figures out a way to unpack directly to the main folder I would be moving it to anyway. Why doesn't clothing go into the Clothes folder? Why don't body parts go into the Body Parts folder? Why do new folders created when unpacking always end up having to be moved by hand into the main folder they belong in? When we buy something it goes directly into the Objects folder so I know it can't be that hard to code and "half the work" is already done. The day I can unpack something I purchased and be able to direct it to the main folder I want it in (like so many other programs do)... oh wait... I almost forgot... this is SL. It's never going to happen.

That pretty much covers the past 15 year of my SL.

Not really what I was asking but ok. I think I'll just stick with what I have since it's not hard to keep the complexity below 50k as long as I don't try to wear a lot of jewelry. More often than not my complexity is under 25k with just the body, hands, feet, head, hair, a top, jeans and footwear on.

You really should shift over to my right shoulder. The left is the one that has the adhesive capsulitis and you are just a tad bit heavy to be carrying around on it. Besides, it's my right ear that has lost the most hearing thereby giving you an almost undetectable in for your subliminals.

Would you happen to have any info like this on the VISTA heads? Specfically the Zoe? I have one I use with my Lara and I'd like to know if they "cheated" or not. I don't believe they did but I'd like that confirmed if possible.

No I have never said I don't use FS. I have always said I do. I use the notifications and I also use other features that work for me. All too often people ignore those notifications and just keep on IMing.

I use FS and was on the support team for over 5 years. I think I know how to work it. Doesn't change anything I said. And no I am NOT good company today.

Not everyone hides their online status because they want to remove someone. Sometimes we just need peace and quiet or not to be disturbed while working. Or maybe, just maybe, we don't feel up to dealing with people that drain us through no fault of ours or theirs for a while. Like today for me. Last night I had to take Dmitri to the hospital because his heart has been beating erratically for 4 days. What I'm trying to say is sometimes there are good reasons to not show your online status even to those you may consider close friends in SL. Some days are just not good days.

It's been an on again off again thing for me since the last time I posted in this thread.

I had two older brothers who were never there for me and never played with me, so I may as well have been an only child. That is why I actually like being alone but at the same time it bothers me. The only other girls in the neighborhood were all 5 - 10 years older than I was when we moved into the house my grandfather built. I was 4 or 5 at the time. Maybe 6. It can be... I still haven't found my Cheers. Well... maybe. It's only been a couple of weeks and it is off season for SL. Once I see how "da boss" changes seasons in the region and can be prepared for it so it will go quickly and smoothly without upsetting the residents too much then I can work on getting them to hang out together for an hour or two a couple of times a month. We can do anything from quoting from our favorite books or "reading" poetry to just chatting or companionable silences. I might even be able to get the RL other half to DJ for us once in a while... for tips. Or not. We'll see how it goes, now that that cat is out of the bag. Oh well, they've been warned now.

Now that is my kind of SL photography. It looks like all you did in a photo manip is ... sign your name. That is worthy of framing and hanging on your SL wall. It would make an absolutely gorgeous wall mural with or without the "model". SL or RL.

Now you are jumping to conclusions. But then you must be that rare type of person who never ever uses their own experiences as examples and believes anyone that does is making everything all about themselves when nothing could be further from the truth. So I ran the benchmark on my tater that rarely has any trouble running SL at just below Ultra just for grins n giggles. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/19205705 I told you it is a tater. And the only time I get any stuttering is when I've been logged in for hours without relogging or rebooting. Rarely do I need to reboot to stop the stuttering. Relogging usually takes care of it. Oh and while the benchmark was running I had my browser open and was doing a couple of other things. My pc slowed a little but not enough to be frustrating. Except the creators would know the difference and that can be a problem for some. Knowing it is of lesser quality than originally made can weigh far more heavily on a creator. I know it would bother the hell out of me. For me personally, optimization is a good thing but it can be taken too far. You seem to be taking it too far and that is why people are being resistant. No one wants lesser quality products even if they can't visually tell the difference. They know it and that can be a turnoff. On the other hand there are still those of us who are so prim conscience, due to having been in SL so long, that we still use fewer items to achieve the same results. Not something that is easily done. Especially when the variety of items you have to work with are slim to none. Sure you can get similar results with less but the person who did the work knows it could have been better and is left feeling... disappointed. That disappointment builds after a while to a point where the creator just says eff it and quits creating. So do we want fewer or more creators. Note that is a statement and not a question that requires an answer.

Gentle reminder that some of us simply can't afford to upgrade or buy a new pc (or hardware) every 2-3 years to keep up with the software demands. I know you are not one of the people who believe the poor and/or disabled/ill/elderly should not be allowed to have any enjoyment out of life. Sometimes we hold on to the old out of necessity, not stubbornness. Because we can't afford to replace.

I never store passwords. It's a security risk. FS already has the options to store one or the other or both. It's not the devs (FS or LL) fault MS chose to do something that would throw a monkey wrench into the works. MicroSoft caused the issue. Which means there isn't a flipping thing that can be done about it.
