I have been Premium since 2006 and think it is worth it...mostly for customer support. Live chat is great for immediate resolution of small issues. For bigger issues Premium members have a access to support for most any SL issue. Non premium members have almost 0 support. There are other benefits like the free tier on a 512; I still own my first land and use it as a lil vendor site to support my main store. You can own/rent mainland from LL which a non-premium member cannot. There are premium only sandboxes; I don't need these but wish they were available when I was a nooblet and had no place to open large prim items or practice building. I get back a big portion of what I spend on membership with the weekly Premium member allowance; so for me the benefits out weigh the small net cost.

Check your picture format for type and size. You cannot load all formats; it needs to be a tga,bmp,png or jpg

Most items are not transferable so you would just delete those. Full perm items are usually licensed; read the terms of sale note that came with them. Most prohibit resale. If you received the item as a freebie, it is VERY bad form to sell what was given to you at no cost. The creator gifted SL, it is terribly tacky to try and profit off that. Items you purchased, that are no copy, but are transferable can be resold....like in RL tho you wont get much for them and this will require some effort on your part. To sell an item you will need to create a picture of it which will cost 10L. Then you will need to box it up and either put on the marketplace as a used item or set up at a yard sale. To me the money made on reselling old items just isn't worth the work. Consider generating some good karma by finding a worthy nooblet and gift them your transferable items : )

You need t first delete the items from your Magic Box and then Sync with Marketplace. Once you do that you will see delete item as an option

Rosey provided you with a great answer but wanted to make sure that you understood that in addition to not being able to own mainland, giving up your free 512 free tier, member only sand boxes and your weekly linden allowance, you lose almost all customer suppport...including live chat. Non premium members have little to no customer service in SL, which to me is a prettty big issue.

Besides the monthly tier you need to be a premium member. if you are not a premium account you can only buy/rent for a private estate owner

If you take him dancing in a mesh tux 80% of the attendees will see a naked man wearing donuts lol I am still mesh avoidant because of that; but for nice tux's I would check SF Designs formal wear shop. She has some nice ones; Alphamale, Gizza, Gabriel,Aoharu,Mr.Poet,Sartoria would also be worth checking. Not sure which might have mesh but all have nice clothing

Yes Dakota is fast and "on it" looks like more tangled than thought tho as LL shows as multiple freebies not releated to me but customer transaction shows a single item at 650L Am sure Dakota will root it out

You should have two skins. One will be bald (no brown cap) and the other will have a hair base (usually abreviated HB). If you only have the one skin then the earlier reply was correct, you would need to find a blond hair base tattoo to cover the brown. If you need to find a hair base tattoo you could try Amacci - she has them for FREE and hopefully one of the many shades included in her generous offer will be close to the blonde you wear

I had a customer contact me today regarding a missing delivery. She has the transaction and it says was delivered but she does not have the item. She sent me the transaction...but it is not in my transaction history, marketplace nor my account. We have both submitted a ticket as she was charged and I have no record of receiving. The date of transaction was 10/23 so not like it is "pending"

Besides the Marketplace you can also use search inworld. Not all merchants use the online Marketplace. Just type in Handlebar Moustache and see what comes up. I have not seen a prim moustache of any quality in SL yet, but maybe you will discover one!

Once you sell the linden and are notified that the transaction has completed you must go back to the Linden Exchange and "Process" the credit, which is the request to send to Paypal. If you have not done that then L you sold should be sitting there waiting for you. If it has been 11 days since you "Processed" then I would call billing; my experience is 3-7 days from processing to receipt in my paypal account.

I think you can also establish payment record with LL by starting a group or running a classified. You just need to have done some sort of transaction with the lab to establish payment record

If it is not your land that is being griefed then I would notify the owner. If the griefer is violating the TOS then you can also file a AR, if not just mute the offender and find someplace else to hang out. Griefers seek attention, ignoring them is the best way to win. If it is your land, you can mute and AR as above plus, ban the person from your land and group. If the griefing includes objects/scripts make sure you check your land settings and uncheck "Create Objects" "Object Entry" "Run Scripts" for "All Residents". Keep them checked for "Group".

besides checking your connection, have you tired uninstalling SL on that system and then doing a clean install ?

on number 4 I think you mean a pic of the clothes on a body? If so I agree, all the clothes on lil hanges look so cute but leave me totally clueless and so I don't buy. How short is that skirt? That top sort of looks like a crop but is it? I want a picture in the shop of clothing and shoes being worn so I have some perspective

I don't use a mesh viewer and have seen a very few avies wearing donuts so I dont think mesh has taken off broadly. I have been given a few mesh items to try but so far nothing I have seen has excited me enough to change viewers

Before you commit serious time or money to anything, take some time to explore SL and meet people. What you think your SL will be today, may end up very different...mine did Take lots of classes. You will find them in Search/Events/Education. Building skills are especially handy...even if you never build anything they will help you arrange your hair, clothing and accessories as you build up a wardrobe (almost nothing with a prim will fit perfectly out of the box, you will need to tailor to yourself). But, any class will help you learn Check in events also for social occasions that match your personal interests and will help you meet other like-minded avies As you journey around you will find your niche in the world and can then invest and build around it. As others have mentioned do use some caution, especially in financial transactions. LL will not mediate in resident disputes so it is buyer beware. There are many wonderful residents in SL but, we also have our share of asshats. Good luck and happy travels!

The fastest and easiest way is to buy linden. But, if you really do not wish to do that and are ok with living SL on a limited budget then you can try the below: If you are less than 30 days old there might still be a few money trees around...check in search,, tp to a money tree location and look for Lindens growing on the branches for those new to take. There may also be a few camping spots left where you are paid to sit or hang around a certain area. You would find these in search too. This will only generate a few linden There are contests you could enter that give linden look for them in search/events tab Someone recently mentioned "cone jumping' as a way to earn linden...I know nothing about this but you could check in search There are help wanted ads in the Forums Wanted section and the inworld classified ads. Do you have a RL skill that could be helpful in SL like graphic design or mad photoshop skills? You could create a book of examples and try to sell your service to shop owners. It will take lots of time to first learn and then to manage but you could learn to create something that other people would want to buy and sell via the Marketplace or with an inworld shop.

The linden to USD is posted on your dashboard in the Lindden Exchange section, you could then convert to GBP
