  1. Myself,i just love checking out what others do no matter what it is really.. There is such a wide range of avatars.. But also like to dig a little deeper and check out their profiles.. Trails they want people to follow, stuff like that.. i used to have a deeper profile, but I'm just not around enough to keep all that stuff up these days.
  2. They may still be under lockdown and working from home.. You may have to use Email to see how you can do all that..
  3. I was on youtube a little while ago and came passed this video, which really I could relate to very much, because I remember doing so much research on the present and history.. Mainly to fill a void that I had felt in many areas of myself..The more I gathered the more I felt I was finding, my power.. I don't know what others will think of this, but I just have a powerful need to share it and hope that some find it useful and hopefully powerful..
  4. This is a pretty good read on the Emancipation Proclamation if anyone is interested.. it's not really long at all and gives some good details. it's a good read.. Emancipation Proclamation
  5. The Republicans didn't fight to end slavery.. I just grabbed this first part from google real quick.. The presidency of Abraham Lincoln began on March 4, 1861, when he was inaugurated as the 16th President of the United States, and ended upon his assassination and death on April 15, 1865, 42 days into his second term. Lincoln was the first member of the recently-established Republican Party elected to the presidency. So he wasn't a Republican when the war started.. The reasons for both sides were established beforehand when his first term started. EDITED to add: Well,This first part I stand corrected as I misunderstood it as him becoming Republican in his second term when it was in fact his first.. Still, the reasons remain as to why the two sides fought.. But yea, I hate when i do that..hehehehe --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each side had it's reason for the war rather than there just being one reason for the war..Lincoln and the North fought to preserve the Union,That was it.. The south fought to defend the institution of slavery. The southern states felt they had the constitutional right to secede and Lincoln pointed out to them that they legally didn't. Lincoln considered the Union as the worlds last hope, compared to other types of governments in the world.. Lincoln had one goal with the civil war..Get the states back into the union.. Just a side note.. The Emancipation Proclamation was made so that when the union invaded an area that had slaves, They could legally free the slaves that were considered someones property.. He needed to make slavery illegal in those states to actually legally do that. He hadn't even really taken office when the first wave of states started to secede.. They seceded because of his platform as he was running ,which was to abolish the expansion of slavery in the territories.. Also, the south was using slaves to fight the north.. But so was the union..So in turn any slaves knowing this and in the fight, seeing freedom just right over there on the other side of the battle..it might put some thoughts in their head.. Also it helped to build up the union army as they progressed and freed slaves.. Lincolns 5 points for opposing the secession. 1. Physically the states cannot separate. 2. Secession is unlawful. 3. A government that allows secession will disintegrate into anarchy. 4. That Americans are not enemies, but friends. 5. Secession would destroy the world's only existing democracy, and prove for all time, to future Americans and to the world, that a government of the people cannot survive. Here is a pretty famous letter of his that goes into what he would do to preserve the union.. Executive Mansion, Washington, August 22, 1862. Hon. Horace Greeley: Dear Sir. I have just read yours of the 19th. addressed to myself through the New-York Tribune. If there be in it any statements, or assumptions of fact, which I may know to be erroneous, I do not, now and here, controvert them. If there be in it any inferences which I may believe to be falsely drawn, I do not now and here, argue against them. If there be perceptable in it an impatient and dictatorial tone, I waive it in deference to an old friend, whose heart I have always supposed to be right. As to the policy I "seem to be pursuing" as you say, I have not meant to leave any one in doubt. I would save the Union. I would save it the shortest way under the Constitution. The sooner the national authority can be restored; the nearer the Union will be "the Union as it was." If there be those who would not save the Union, unless they could at the same time save slavery, I do not agree with them. If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause. I shall try to correct errors when shown to be errors; and I shall adopt new views so fast as they shall appear to be true views. I have here stated my purpose according to my view of official duty; and I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men every where could be free. Yours, A. Lincoln. The south fought to defend slavery, which those that argue about why the war started will say, it was about States rights.. Yes it was..The right to own another human. Damn, I'm out of tea! \o/ Well I'm off to the kitchen! hehehe
  6. I was on youtube just looking around for some music and came across this guy ,Billy Strings.. This guy is like a blue grass Bon scott.. I seen a video of him just sitting in a livingroom with his friends and didn't think much of it until they asked him to play this song he wrote.. Holy crap..Then looked a little more at his other stuff and found this.. This song just got better and better and better as it went on..the whole band is really talented.. you can just tell He was born to have a guitar in his hands..I think that's why he reminds me of Bon Scott.. well that and the head waving and all.. Anyways, here goes.. Billy Strings and his band playing ,Meet me at the Creek.. it's really really, really good.. hehehe Here he is doing Summertime
  7. I think the main reason was, they still hadn't lost the war yet.. The emancipation proclamation was 1863, April 9, 1865 is when General Lee surrendered.. I'm not really that up on Texas itself.. But if they were still fighting then they more than likely didn't go by union laws yet.. Now Tennessee on the other hand I do know because I'm finding history all around me just laying around on the ground..hehehe Where we live.. Our land we have all kinds of history from the civil war..The north and the south troops traveled in my back yard up in the mountains on devils back bone..I find all kinds of stuff when I go riding my horse up in the mountains.. Tennessee is one of the more interesting states when it comes to the civil war as well as the emancipation proclamation.. Tennessee was actually exempted from the emancipation proclamation by Lincoln.. It was a heavy battleground state.. If you want an interesting read, this is pretty good.. Slavery Ends In Tennessee
  8. I've been checking out this guys channel lately, because he has some pretty interesting topics.. After the past week or so of seeing people going at each other on the net and other places..This video felt pretty good to watch.. It kind of puts into perspective just how fortunate and special each one of us are.. The long long chain of things that had to happen so that we could be here right now.. it was really neat and relaxing and felt good to watch..
  9. We were just sold to another company at the end of last year, so we're still in transition.. The virus kind of interrupted a lot of that when they had to put everyone on furlough.. I don't know if they have anything like that in their other plants.. I just know that they haven't turned anyone away for anything more than bad work record..
  10. I wasn't meaning you were..I was just saying anyone gets a shot at my work as well.. I think it's the best way to be..otherwise you limit yourself from the cream of the crop pretty much..it's all based on job performance..
  11. I edited it to add ,because i realized it could be if taken out of context...hehehe
  12. That's actually not..it's from Lean on me,,Morgan Freeman said it in that movie.. It's actually supposed to be HNIC I mean I guess it could be ,depending on context and who is saying it in what way..
  13. our company I work for doesn't care what race or color you are..you get respect by how well you do your job.. You can tell a lot about a person by how well they do their job..I mean those guys bust their butts in there.. Lazy buns get no respect from everyone..Doesn't matter what race or color they are either.. They won't last..But we'll take anyone in and give them a chance to prove themselves.. A company limiting themselves just because of race ,is doing just that..limiting themselves..
  14. I think she's talking about affirmative action..Wasn't that a nation wide thing? That would have been true in any state I would think,if it was.. To me that sounds like what she is saying it was anyways..hehehe I can't think of any other plan that sounded like it.
  15. My grandparents went there when they were offered relocation.. They didn't want their children going through the boarding schools like they did.. My grandmother is so messed up from the schooling still today.. That's how we ended up in Chicago.. We could have ended up in any one of the other relocation cities, but they chose Chicago.. But yea, I knew friends in the City that were always talking about family in the south.. I mean like most of them did..
  16. ok time to have a laugh at the Klans expense.. We need a giggle right about now..
  17. I seen that last night for the first time when I accidentally hit something on my phone when i was lurking the forums at work.. I must have hit an old thread.. It's a good addition i think..
  18. My point is..each group is different in how they go about things with their hate.. a skin head is a lot different than dealing with an alt-right.. Skin heads are a much more violent group like a banger.. Skin heads scare me more than any of the other groups by far.. Let me just add this.. If a Skin head starts getting irate around me.. I'm gonna throw down on him, if he keeps coming I'm gonna stop him in his tracks...
  19. The thing is all these white hate groups are not the same groups.. The Klan is not the skin heads or the neo-nazis or the alt- right.. Each one is a group..They all pretty much the same hate patterns But they are all different organizations.. If you are seeing swastikas ,it's a good chance you are dealing with skin heads or neo-nazi's..See rebel flags it's a good chance you're dealing with the Klan.
  20. I should have said, they will never be as powerful as they were before.. hehehe
  21. I understand what you are saying, that they are trying to get organized.. But they won't ever be what they once were.. they'll never have that kind of power again..plus there are much more powerful groups and more are wise to them than back then.. They were deep deep organized before..
  22. Every time I hear bank and SL, Ginko is the first thing that pops into my mind and rush to say.. Don't do it!! \o/ hehehe
  23. A lot of these big mouthed asshats down here that I ever run into are like shorties.. I'm 4"10 and most of the ones I run into are only a little taller than me.. there are some big boys down here, but the shorties seem to be the ones with the crap attitudes.. My husband is 6"5 and anywhere from 280 to 300 pounds depending on winter and summer.. full blown Samoan warrior when he gets going..hehehe He's gonna put the avg man into fear factor mode real quick..
  24. Like I said earlier.. I live near Pulaski Tennessee.. Even the Klan crowd that comes from all over and shows up there.. you would think it would be huge, but it's not really.. If they were gonna show up anywhere in numbers, it would be there.. Also,as I said earlier, the Klan when it was at it's strongest was in more numbers in the north.. there may be something going on up there , but I've been down here for a good bit and only ever bumped into a few of them my whole time, other than when they show up in Pulaski..And i try to stay clear of there if I can when they are coming into that town..
