  1. Cheese is overrated. It's gross and a waste of perfectly good milk.
  2. Big peeve: Getting misgendered and deadnamed to the point i spent the first chunk of my birthday yesterday crying alone in my room. Similar peeve: birthdays
  3. I like mesh avatars, I have one and I don't think I could go back to system because of how nicely I can get my robot or doll avatars to look. But sometimes it feels like so much of the creativity and variety vanished. It's next to impossible to find fashion styles out of the generic mainstream of the popular stores. It wasn’t exactly popular back then either. But it existed. But now? Gone. Even more so if your avatar is madculine. Goth is held together by a few stores, but with so many old mainstays either gone or transformed onto generic mainstream store #1234. While the poor Kawaii umbrella term gets abused. Rarely reflecting the actual wear on Japanese and international strrets and more "underwear and skimpy wear but in pastel. So sometimes I miss the old avatars, at least for variety's sake.
  4. Sadly not, As my birthday is next week so the hell train keeps on chugging. I tend to feel better by the 4th at least.
  5. My Peeve today is... ..me! Or rather my seasonal depression. it needs to leave and let my serotonin appear again. Grumps and wraps blankets around.
  6. I too got anomymoosed this year. The full perm outfit shall be greatly used in my plans for a uniform for lil idea i had brewing around in my noggin' Once college releases me of course!
  7. Except that's not really what Phillip was saying. When he mentioned for grown ups, he meant as in for actual age demographics. Second life, is indeed, the only thing like it that's decidedly not for the underage due to it's content, not in "it's for serious work only." It' specifically for fun, creativity. Roblox and it's like scew younger and that is an interesting thing to note and there is a level of truth to what Phillip says about why that is. For the average person of older ages, they aren't as used to soicalising online compared to younger generations. and for many older heck even people in the zoomer and alpha generations that lack of visable body langauge and soical cues you get offline is a turn off. His answer isn't honhonhon video games are kiiiids and thus unappealing a not serious. In fact Rosedale has displayed in that interview a dim view of Facebook's serious bznz only approach with horizons. It's that metaverses still have allot of hurdles before any of them, even those targeted at younger folks really break out into the mainstream. and that is an interesting thought.
  8. Disability sucks here too. It's fortnightly instead of monthly but the amount is so laughably small that by the end of week two I have literal pennies left. And that's with living with my folks let alone trying to be independent. Peeve: government bodies not knowing how much an actual person needs to live.
  9. I would but the pc that housed all my old screenshots is broke. 😭
  10. I don't know folks I use to run around s blue skinned fairy and currently a robot. So the fantasy and robotic afs seem fairly represented to me and the sims I roll around in. 🤣
  11. P*dos (I refuse to use map as that makes it seem more legitimate that it deserves.) will not and have NEVER been Accepted by the LGBT+/Queer community. We did not go through decades upon decades of being falsely accused of being p*dos, with many of us being victims of the scumbags, only for them to try and use our hard fought battles for equality to try and excuse their disgusting abuse. Any that try to slither there way into our spaces can kindly go and die in a pit. Peeve: When you have to miss out on black Friday sales because you don't get paid until the next Tuesday.
  12. Peeve: My feet hurt, the back and soles mainly. Further peeve: No handsome man to massage said sore hurty feet. :C
  13. Ok, let's try and clarify some terms because they don't mean all x are bad. Nor are they pointing at individual people so let's all set aside the pitchfolks and be the reasonable adults we are. When people talk of certain groups having prvilage. They don't mean every single person in that group has it easy and is bad. But having systematic prvilage means that on average, those in this group will have it easier when dealing with the systems of power. For example. I have white privilege. I can encounter the police and be pretty certain I won't be hate crimed by them for my skin colour. It's not a 100% chance due to being visably queer and (ex) catholic in northern ireland. Plus imvidual people. But consider how that average decrease dramatically when your skin is darker. That is what people mean by privilege. It's a decrease not absence of systematic hardship. A white cis heterosexual, abled person can still experience hardship! But it's going to look different then the hardships more marginalized face. In this case, women and those presumed to be women, face a different set of hardships then those who are men/presumed men. As well as those men who are deemed to "girly". On average, Cis women, trans women and Afab people face greater sexual assault rates, lower pay compared to their male peers and so on. This doesn't mean every man is evil. Far from it. Allot of men and amab folk face their own problems born from the same systems that cause this harm. For example, They face even greater difficulty in getting their own Sexual assault and abuse belived. Especially if done by a woman. Plus being queer, I happen to think men are pretty dang great! 10/10 would recommend. Would protect and hold tenderly during a moonlight waltz. The issue is the systems that create the unfairness. Not the people within.
  14. When people take your words out of context and try to make you out to be the worst. When you're missing just one hunt item but it's the hardest one to find. 😠 When an item is labelled mod but it isn't unless you buy the fatpack. So the singles wind up as just useless spam.
  15. Not my usual taste, but happy for those that prefer more body builder shapes in their mesh bodies. The feature list might tempt me to try it's fit version. Esp if the nails can go really long.
  16. While I personally wouldn't get an abortion unless I had to to preserve my own life and health. (Hi I'm one of those Trans folk with a womb and stuff that can get pregnant but is not a woman.) I will absolutely stand in solidarity with those who march for their right to have safe, accessible abortions regardless of their reason. Because my personal belief system should never dictate what another can do in regards to their own health and body. Why someone else might need an abortion is neither my nor anyone else's' business. It does not effect anyone but those directly involved. So who am I or any other to judge and act as some arbiter of mortality over something that is deeply personal and private?
  17. Could.. you explain what you believe I am doing? I am not speaking for all people that are ND, just the ones that like me have things that make us more susceptible to forming addictive patterns. Also..what is there to agree/disagree on? my point was that as a specturm.. no two peoples' needs are going to be the same..
  18. That's great for you! But I am also Autistic and I do get those rushes. I DO struggle with those impulses. So do allot of other ND people. It is one of the ways our neurodiversity can impact on us. It isn't ableism, it's a truth for a good number of us. That's why it's called a Spectrum.
  19. Not just Autism either, But ADHD, BiPolar Disorder (Especially during manic episodes) and a allot of other neurodivergance condintions. Mental Illness is also a factor that gambling and gaming companies live to expoilt.
  20. It's kinda sad how some people have acted in this thread... There serms to be a lack of understanding of just who and how these sorta machines can effect. I am somone with problems impulsive/compulsive purchasing. I like to think I am fairly smart normally. But because of my neurodiverstites and depression. My brain chemistry seeks out ways to get that sweet serotonin and dopamine that it lacks. Gacha and these "its totally not gacha you gais" machines are the worst for it. Worse then casinos for me. Because the dopamine hit is instant and "it doesn't cost that much". Not even realising that it well. Adds up in the end until I snap put of it and realise a good chunk of my money is gone. Can't just "not buy" because again, my brain wants those happy chemicals and that overides logic. I hate that this happens and I want it to stop. Sometimes I do manage to not spend on gachas and that makes me proud. .. Until the mext time I feel restless or depressed and find a gacha that caters to my wants.. I am trying to get help. But in the meantime I try to do my best to keep it under control because I don't even have yhat much free money to spend. I and others like me aren't bad people. Or stupid or lazy. We're.. vulnerable people who are getting targeted because our brains work differently.
  21. I wouldn't steal anything, but I would move everything that I can move just that liiiiitle bit off centre.
