  1. This thread got pushed to the second page. Anyway, I am delighted by this sandwich. Homemade rye bread, avocado, hummus, smoked salmon, pumpkin seeds, pesto, and pink sauerkraut.
  2. I never got out of first gear, but notice how I masterfully steered around that tree and didn't kill us for the 20th time. I had to edit the bike out of a few fountains and bushes just to keep going. 😄
  3. Peeve: Grammar nazis grammar nazi'ing? Naziing? Nazing? It's a sentence with a noun and a noun turned into a verb with some kind of spelling thing I just made up.
  4. Here is my pic to add. I didn't get any pics of the handcar or the trip through the tunnel, since I was driving a lot of the time. Besides, SL driving is difficult for me because its too fast to stay in my lane. Those pedestrians better just watch out because the sidewalk is mine! I notice you didn't post any pics of me killing us over and over by running into trees and lamp posts (and bushes, and fountains, and fences, and lakes, and off cliffs, and...) Oh wait! YOU were at the wheel when we went over the cliff and plummeted to the ocean far below. And just because it's fun to watch your head explode, I have one pic of me showing you my fashionable new flat platform shoes last week. Boing boing boing!
  5. I think I pulled out nearly every old and new vehicle in my inventory! Thanks for just doing silly stuff with me. I had a blast!
  6. I didn't receive a milestone email from LL this year, but previous ones all say "Rez Day"
  7. Someone has YOU blocked? Awwww ❤💋 (Quoted so Love will read your post)
  8. I think the general consensus is that there are not real therapists/counselors inworld. If you choose to roleplay going to see one for roleplay couples therapy, just keep in mind that the person leading it is also role-playing and probably has no idea how to help you find a way to work with your real issues. I am sure they have all the best intentions, so if you can keep in mind that it is not actual professional help and just fun immersive roleplay, then any of the places you find should be fine.
  9. I say this to myself all the time. I usually enjoy meeting people different than myself. It is why I logged in to SL to begin with. I do, however, have a limit and boundaries, so I will just leave a conversation if it goes in a direction that is pointless. It is rare, but I also pre-emptively block people after reading their profiles. It's never permanent, though, since I unblock everyone every couple months and start my block list over again. Sometimes I just can't be bothered to be tactful and sensitive in the face of some pretty disgusting beliefs even it those beliefs are just roleplay for effect.
  10. Been logging in for 14 years and its just as fun today as it was on day 30 (because the first few weeks were tough to figure out)
  11. I am sorry you had to grow up with that. Every child should grow up with love and acceptance. *hugs* ETA... ummm, so turn off those inworld IMs from angry judgemental parents!!!
  12. I'm trying to picture you inworld with your daughter lecturing her on how she should live her second life according to your principles while she's staring at a half-naked, muscled, oiled barbarian avatar in a loin cloth with his long hair blowing in an unseen wind flexing in the background. And now I can't un-see it!!!!! Dang it! I'm my own worst enemy. Can you make this photo happen, Luna? Please!
  13. I don't believe a that Mr. Griefer took to heart your words and wandered off to examine his entire life course because you said that. He just skipped off to bother the next person. What if your daughter wants a macho man or if she decided she wants to log in just for fun (instead of pushing her version of teaching others how to act) and would like to roleplay a bimbo?
  14. Mutant has to come first, but it's your choice whether they're vampire zombies or zombie vampires.
  15. You really have to watch out for those sneaky Blab photographers and the crazies who write the articles.
  16. Where is this prominently displayed? I would have to actively seek out regions if I wanted to see sex and violence.
  17. Yeah, I've got nothing to add and no way to make this discussion apply to SL. I now know who is emotionally ill and lacking the intelligence it takes to see the world from any perspective but one. Black and white. Good and bad. Only my view of the world is correct. Anyone who thinks differently is ill and needs to be fixed. So anyway... Sl - your world, my rules on how you should live it, my opinion only on right and wrong.
  18. Did you mean to say this? I know I snipped the sentence, but... what?
  19. This would be a really dull place if no one started threads. Really dull. I don't feel I need to discuss the motivations for every post. If you don't like the subject, grow up and scroll on past it. Take some personal responsibility for what you read and respond to. No one is making anyone read anything. If a person thinks they know exactly where a thread is going to go and they don't want to go there, don't. Responding means you do want to go there. It's a conscious decision to participate. Gopi, just to make a couple people happy, end each post with What do you think? How do you do it? How would this impact you? Discussion problem solved.
  20. It's really hard not to tap your feet when the chorus starts.
  21. I think the niche groups that make virtual homes in SL are, in general, more accepting and inclusive than the average population anywhere on earth. The platform itself seems to draw those types in - the ones looking for alternative ways to express themselves or a place to belong. Those looking for connections beyond the places they live seem to want their world to be bigger and more diverse. Why log on if you are so happy with your small, closed, immediate, real-life community? SL doesn't seem like the place to be if you only want to find people just like yourself. Those that do only want to find people just like themselves tend to leave in disgust and call all SL residents freaks and pervs. Like omg! People there play different races and genders than they are in real life.
  22. All 3 of those are up to the parcel owner, so I can't rate them. My personal parcels are full DEI. I even allow those dreaded kid avatars in unless I put down an adult couch, but then the rules are TOS/CS.
  23. Just to tip this fact that only men are aggressive, I am highly aggressive in real life AND I am a woman. The women I work with and those I know in SL are no shrinking violets, either. I don't think we're the exception to the rule. The number of women I know in SL who will "take someone out" rivals that of men. This is, of course, only my experience and who I choose to surround myself with inworld. Use your inworld tools and make your SL what you want. Balance the pros and cons of shutting off IMs and have a great day!
