  1. Pay attention to the forums and the blogs as there is a large release coming. You can preview the new theme at the Christmas Expo. Some folks are already starting to abandon their other Linden Homes in order to be ready for the new release.
  2. I'm still debating on the new houses. I can't see having both a Traditional and a Victorian, so if I do get one of them, I will let the Trad go. I figure the absolute earliest that they will release is next week, so I've got at least the weekend to ponder and decide.
  3. Thanks. I poked around in the viewer right after I posted and found out how to do it.
  4. Update on my previous comment, similar to inworld blocking of someone, ignoring someone here on the forums only impacts what I see. They can still follow me and I can still see them in the list of people that are following me. Hopefully, Gabrielle was talking about the following of the feed on the web profile and the Privacy settings do deal with that
  5. I've used the Autoresponse to everyone, the response to non-friends and the response to muted folks. However, I can apparently create 'groups' of friends - never saw a reason for that feature before (nor do I even know how to do it). However, I could see a use now -- a group called "annoying, but I still like them" and then, if Firestorm let me send to a specific friends group, I could send just those annoying folks their own special response -- kind of how the muted folks get their own very special response.
  6. I do have the option and the alt that did not do the other prepay also has the option. Both of our accounts renew in 2020. Both of the alts that did do the previous prepay, with current renewals in 2021 - March and April - do NOT have the option to prepay right now. Maybe if you did the other prepay, your account is already flagged as having prepaid and so you don't get this new prepay option.
  7. And LL also just posted that existing members can get that same 10% discount if they want to prepay their next year of Premium. Maybe to entice some folks that are thinking of downgrading an alt or two to reconsider.
  8. Firestorm should add the ability to create an Autoresponse just to specified people or groups of people. "Hi there. Thanks so much for IMing me, however I don't tend to pay much attention to IMs sometimes, so it might be a while before I see this. It is also possible that I'll log out without ever seeing it. This just happens to be who I am. If you want to be offended, I suppose you have that right, but I won't try to soothe your hurt feelings. Have a nice day!!"
  9. For your web profile - click Privacy and then use the "Follow Info". For these forums, possibly if you blocked the person, they might not be able to follow you. Not sure about that, but I may test it with an alt after work.
  10. So, not only is LL offering a 10% discount on new Premium accounts, but they are now offering that same 10% discount if an existing Premium wants to prepay their next year. It does only apply to the Annual payment, but a good deal for anyone that can afford it. LL mentioned during the previous pre-pay that when the super duper premium comes out, there will be upgrades paths that take into account how much time you still have on your currently paid Premium. I will use this for at least 1 or 2 of my accounts. One of them didn't gain much from the previous pre-pay because of the timing of the renewal. This 10% is not as much of a savings as the previous pre-pay, but something is better than nothing. Especially if you know you will be renewing and can afford to pay it now.
  11. Yeah, the other folks just went ahead and used the other thread to post their pics from the Expo. The first pics posted there were roughly 7:00 am SLT - 4 hours ago from now. And yeah - that outfit Patch posted is most definitely not a Victorian swimsuit or Victorian anything else that I've ever seen.
  12. A non-premium can post events at 50L. A Premium can post events at 10L. Premium membership costs $99.00, which is roughly 25,740L (figuring approx. 260L per $1.00). Roughly 644 notices at 50L will be cost the same as paying for Premium and paying for those same notices at 10L. So, if an account wants to post more than 644 notices per year (not quite 2 per day), it will be cheaper for them to become Premium. *Modify the 644 count a bit to allow for L$ exchange fees. (assuming I've done my math right - which is always questionable on rough work days)
  13. A gag or puke reaction would be more appropriate, but since those aren't available I settled for laughing.
  14. The current Traditional and Houseboat regions have an average of 20 homes each and the Camper regions are likely more than that since the plot sizes are only 512. We can already see much of what it will look like from the SSP regions. It does look like they cloned some of the regions, but have placed them in such a way that I don't think anyone will be able to notice except when looking at a large area via the map. My super super rough count of the SSP southern Belli area doesn't look like it contains more than 1000-1300 homes, so if there are "thousands" (plural), then they must have another area hidden off somewhere that we don't see. Or they are going to place another full copy (or two or three copies) of that southern Belli area somewhere else, similar to what they did with the old Linden Homes. For the "Really Soon" and "Very Soon" part, it is possible that the release could happen as early as next week. That will have given folks today through Sunday to have scoped out the Preview first. If not next week, definitely the week of the 16th, right after the Expo ends. If you look look at the grey oblong pieces and then look again at Pussycat's pictures, I'd bet money on the grey parts being the boulevards and bridges and other roadway parts.
  15. I personally think that a charge for group notices over a specific number per day or week would be a good idea. I belong to a couple of groups that I've turned notices off for because they send one out every hour or two - one group sends a notice roughly every 30 min. That is a hell of a load put on the system. I also think that groups should have to pay an additional amount for chat ability if their member count exceeds some specified number - hundreds, a thousand. Chat messages for super huge groups is also a large load on the system. And, for the record, the Events listing was such a mess that I am glad they are now charging a fee.
  16. It looks like the entire southern area is ready for release -- or darn close anyway. Very, very rough count gives 100 or so regions, though not all are full regions. At approx. 20 homes per, that does give over one thousand, though not sure how much over since some of those counted regions are not holding a full 20 or more homes. And who knows what the Moles might have hidden somewhere that we can't see. When they did the initial release, it was roughly 3300 homes (Traditionals and Houseboats) and it took approx. 48 hours for all of the homes to be taken. When they did the initial Camper release, they staggered releasing the regions across most of a day, going into the early evening hours even, to help spread it out and give people more chances across different hours of the day. That Camper release was a bit over 15 regions I think -- though a few of those might have been released later. Thus I predict at the minimum we'll get the entire southern area that we see released either all at once or with some of the regions slightly staggered throughout a day in an effort to ensure at least some availability into the evening and next day even. If you are talking about the large circle in the middle of the below picture, my guess is some sort of park or community area. If you are talking about the grey oblong stuff, that is the large boulevards and bridges that are shown in Pussycat's picture above.
  17. Okay, so roughly the same as most of the current Traditional and Houseboat regions.
  18. Well, if somehow those clothes are suppose to indicate Victorian, which apparently IS the new theme. I obviously do not know enough about Victorian menswear.
  19. From the pics that Pussycat did, showing the plot lines, they look to have roughly the same amount of ground around them for outdoor decorating / landscaping. Ahh, so it is the large boulevards is what we were seeing and not quite sure of. They do look to have a bit more space around them, not as many neighbors for each house, and thus maybe fewer homes per region. That might help with some of the Bellisseria lag issues.
  20. As others have mentioned though, you can set your parcel so that nobody outside the parcel can actually see any avatar that is inside the parcel. Combine that with banning the specific neighbor jerk and he can't even get into the parcel to try peeking that way.
  21. The original release was April 15th. The Squishy Pickle released on May 15th. If they release the new theme on Dec 16th, the first day after the Christmas Expo closes, then they'll have a week to work out issues before folks start taking off for their Christmas vacations. If if it going to be before Christmas, I sure can't see it happening any later than the 18th or 19th. If LL is like most companies I've worked for, there will be lots of people out of the office starting the 23rd and continuing until at least Jan 2nd. Therefore, I'm not sure they'd have a full crew available for doing a release of something brand new during that time.
  22. If that is a wetsuit, then that would sort of point to an underwater world, which some folks have been asking for. However, the current look of south Belli sure doesn't seem to support that theory.
  23. You can look at homes inworld, but you cannot check to see if anything is available without first abandoning the Linden Home that you have -- or use a Premium alt to get a different Linden Home.
  24. Your guess is as good as any of ours. Patch and the Moles do not update us on anything that might be coming later. We know that the next theme will be unveiled at the upcoming Christmas Expo starting Dec 5th. There have been many guesses as to what that theme is, but none of the ones that really know are telling. What comes after that theme? Yeah, just lots more guessing by us until it is unveiled.
