Yes, I am playing devil's advocate here, because it will come up - that is the nature of SL: So, if MY winter in RL is during the typical summer of the USA, am I still permitted light snow during MY winter?

We knew another area was coming and that they were already working on it. We did not know until now, officially, that it would be revealed at the Christmas Expo.

My husband gets a flu shot almost every year --- and gets the flu every 2-3 years regardless. I've never had a flu shot and haven't had the flu in roughly 2 decades.

What about the folks that live in New Zealand. Can they have snow during their winter, which would equate to summer in the USA - June through Sept? Do we know for sure that Bellisseria is situated in something approximating the USA? The current setup seems tropical enough to be more like Mexico or the Caribbean islands.

If you use Firestorm, create yourself a graphics setting that is pretty toned down and save it to use most of the time at your Bellisseria home(s). Turn the draw distance way down and turn down or turn off many of the nifty nice graphic extras. Have another setting saved that has everything cranked for when you want to shoot a picture or two. Then have your normal one for when you are out and about, away from Bellisseria.

Snow only comes in winter, but winter is a different time of year depending on whether you live north or south of the equator. Additionally, it only comes if you are far enough north or far enough south. The southern parts of the world see snow when us USA folks are sweating our tushies off and when we get it, they are sweating their tushies off. Many people never see snow. Because of what I said above, Christmas and snow only go together in the northern portion of the world. The rest of the world only somewhat associates the two together because of many holiday movies. Now there's an idea -- it will go with the neon pink trees that I've seen - that do appear to be staying forever.

I wonder how much of the new area will be the initial release. The entire section looks to be as many or more regions as the original release - original release outline in black.

LL might be a bit stricter with private region owners, but if your payment fails for any reason on your Premium renewal, they'll try a few times over the next few days. If it still fails, then they will lock your account. In order for you to get your account unlocked, you have to pay everything that is due. However, they don't actually reclaim your land for quite a while. If the bill isn't paid, they'll just leave your account locked and the land as is for a bit - at least a month per a Linden comment here in the forums (I'm trying to find that post).

While it might be sort of out of theme (seasonally only), I honestly can't see LL calling it "out of theme" enough that they would put a kibosh on it - i.e. make you take it up or they return items. It is less out of theme than pink glowing trees and helipads in backyards or on roofs - and there are plenty of those things around Bellisseria. However, IMO, it would definitely make your place look a bit odd if your plot and house is snow covered and everything around you looks like summer or maybe slightly fall-ish.

Ditto - Actually, I released two different ones in Sparkle Bottoms. ETA: Make that 3 different ones in that region.

Quite a few of the skin creators that I have skins from changed tones a few times over the years. Some gave them totally new names when they changed, but some didn't -- i.e. I have a 2015 T4 from a store that is quite a bit darker than the more recent 2018 T4. It is definitely more confusing when they didn't completely rename things.

I've reported multiple platforms at 1500m, a few at 1000m, and just this weekend one at 501m. I've met too many wackos in SL, so I just don't take a chance on attempting any sort of "friendly neighborly" conversation about it.

Bellisseria Citizens is probably the current most active one. They set up a lot of the bigger community events at the Fairgrounds and around the continent. Today then sent out a notice for a Snow Day on Dec 14th. If you join the group, go to the past notices and you'll find a notecard containing all sorts of landmarks to places around the continent.

Not going to happen for a variety of reasons. Unless an entire region is abandoned, LL cannot control the parcels and associated LI as easily. Even if they have an entire region abandoned, they just aren't going to go create the pretty stuff in the middle of what can very easily turn into a major eyesore. Most people that go for Linden Homes do so because the want the rigid control of the areas around them. LL can't give them that by just creating homes in random abandoned spots. They still have tons of work to do on the new area, so they don't have the resources to go play with mainland areas that folks may or may not even want.

Unfortunately, that would probably result in situations like what First Land was like waaaayyyyy back when. If you could get land for free and then sell it, you could possibly make enough profit to justify the cost of Premium. If such were to be done, they'd probably have to restrict it to only one abandoned plot per Premium account, ever - to prevent the abuse. Or somehow put a restriction on it such that you cannot sell it, but only abandon it back to LL. Not sure how easy or hard it would be to code the selling restriction into the current system.

Abandoned land is already PREMIUM land. It is Mainland and you cannot own Mainland without being Premium. This is already an option. Any Premium member can go get a 1024 or smaller plot of Mainland in lieu of a Linden Home. And they can do it with abandoned land by just asking LL for the land. As long as it is not a highly desirable piece of land that would sell well via auction, LL will sell it to any Premium member that asks. Maybe they just need to advertise it more. They aren't going to go change existing abandoned land into Linden Home areas because there is no control over what happens on the areas that are not abandoned next to the abandoned areas. Not too mention that the abandoned land is scattered throughout the mainland and lots of it is not even full regions.

Someone showed that earlier. I'm thinking it is just something to amuse us with, similar to the nuclear reactor silos and the misc stuff sitting in Millbank.

The new stuff in the SSP area definitely has me a bit confused on what it will be and what the area will look like:

While I haven't had a chance to go looking yet, if that is a valid hint, then my first thoughts from the clue are correct.
