Clarification on Which Ratings and Reviews Will Move

Only old reviews and ratings that have not already been migrated will be moved. Existing reviews and ratings on Marketplace will not be affected. You should see your product ratings changing during this migration as individual ratings are moved over from XStreetSL.

    Response to Deletion Concerns

XStreetSL: If any ratings or reviews are missing from XStreetSL, please file a JIRA issue with product URLs and additional details on missing data (or please include JIRA id if you have already filed). Note that the number of ratings is very likely going to be much higher than the number of reviews on XStreetSL, since Residents were able to rate a product without a review in the past. Ratings that do not have a review will be migrated without a review.

Marketplace: As part of the migration testing, we will be testing to insure that new ratings and reviews on Marketplace products are not deleted as part of the migration. If you do have an example of this having happened on a previous migration, please provide the product URL and details of what occurred in a JIRA issue (or include a pointer to an existing issue).

    Migration Flag

If you want your ratings, reviews and sales history (including sales dates) migrated, you must have migration set to ON. IF MIGRATION IS SET TO OFF, NO RATINGS, REVIEWS, OR SALES HISTORY WILL BE MIGRATED.

If we have added new products, will they "duplicate" if migration is on? I know the ones I have added show in Xstreet as Unassociated Inventory. I have migration turned off and plan to gather all sales/traffic figures from Xstreet separately. I would hate to turn it on and have duplicates appear. TIA & Welcome. Brooke. BTW there is a Merchant Group in SL you might want to join. We would be happy to have your input and direction. Colossus Linden is the owner of said group. It is also open/free to join.

Question: How were merchants invited to participate in the Christmas market? I didn't see any announcements about it -- I would have liked to have been able to at least apply for a position. Thanks!

Which Christmas Market? The SLM Winterfest link or the Destination Guide Christmas Market?

    OP.. let the snowballs fly!!

Save the Date for Winterfest 2010!

So..  what is the difference between the Christmas and Winterfest categories?  Will I be getting more traffic if I list in the Winterfest category, or  keep my items in the Christmas category?

And nice to see the link was fixed, and the first items on the front page are by Allegory Malaprop. Good to see she is back.

If they are already in Christmas, my advice is leave them there. I say this because I changed categories of some items to Winterfest, and they no longer show in any category browse. They only show if I link directly to them. I have a ticket into LL about this. Happy Holidays

What determines if you qualify?  Does what browser you have matter? Does what operating system you have matter?  If you keep trying over and over, might you eventually qualify?  Does logging out of secondlife.com, clearing your cookies, and other such things make a difference in who qualifies?

I have been in at least three times and had a blast . Network speed, browser, accessibility of the project might be some of the things not letting you in. I made a Youtube of screen shots of most of the arrival points. Hope you can get a look Suezanne. Great Job, LL!

  4. Des said it best: "What will change that, is a sense that our actions here matter, that we as residents by and large are trusted partners, that our equity won't evaporate and that our future won't be gambled upon a post~resident corporate dream which will never, ever come to pass."

We are all in this together...

Thank you for the comment Shockwave.

Closing down AU is not really about abandoning stated ambitions but should instead be viewed as an effort to focus our resources on improving the Second Life experience for all Residents and to eliminate the brand confusion between Avatars United and Second Life. All AU functionality that we decide to fold into Second Life will be within the Second Life brand.

Perhaps porting over verified profiles would be a good way to begin. Migrate them like the products are being migrated to the SLMarketplace.
