The question one really needs to ask is how did this harm you? No, I am not advocating copy bots or anything that infringes on ones intellectual property however, what damage did this cause you? Did it inhibit your ability to play SL? Did it cost you money and or how much time did it take you to rectify the situation? If you get my point, you will just scoff it off and move on. Much more important things to get upset over. Truth is as mentioned, if its on your screen, it can be copied and if they didn't copy it from you, they will from someone else but it really doesn't sound like anything malicious took place.

In all fairness, over 24 hours ago could be 25 or 26? I would give the merchant a day or two as they could have been away for the weekend. But, to answer your question, no there is no place for you to flame them other than what you create such as your Facebook or Twitter account.

I remember in the old land grab days where everyone did everything the could to get them to sell their land. I sure don't miss the mainland. :matte-motes-nerdy:

Thanks Madeline. Odd as I work with Glow a lot with my lighting store but I have yet to see anything quite like this. I'll look at yours when I log in and again thanks. I'll also stop by Beachwood again and take some screen shots to see if what I am seeing is consistent with others.

It may not show unless you have your graphics turned up but there is a slight prismatic reflection in the center that changes. The diagonal lines not but something inside does. The friends I was with last night there also noticed it when I pointed it out. I'm starting to think they may have a prim within a prim but if that was the case, we'd have an alpha clash which I didn't see.

It's important to keep in mind that SL is not actually a game as you are probably used to. Most games are downloaded or installed from a disk in their entirety where SL is loaded each time you enter a scene. As you may have noticed, SL is only around 30Mb in size where WoW is 15Gb. Another problem you will encounter is that SL is not as optimized since most is built by users in the game and not true professional game builders. This means that graphics are usually on the heavy side and not optimized. It's much like a website. Some pages are built to load fast, others are not. Another issue is in scripting. Try to keep your own script count below 100 and you can find script meters on the MP for free. Also don't cover your avi with high poly prims. Keep it simple and you will have better performance. And the last note is to stay away from crowded, high scripted sims. You will more than likely find that some places run much better than others and its is due to the fact that each region is built different. You have a good system that should not cause you any problems. Turn down the draw distance to help your graphics load and be patient as you move from region to region to allow time to load before you try to move around.

You could but you would violate the PayPal TOS since it would require they give you access information. Once you attach a PayPal account, it would also allow you to draw funds against that account. I suggest that rather than try to work around the system, work with it and set up a PayPal account for yourself. You can always transfer the funds from your PayPal account to theirs.

I don't have a LM but it's the club Beachwood on the Beachwood Sim. Take a look at the glass barriers around the club or the elevated boxes with glass surfaces.

I saw a very interesting effect that I have yet to be able to do and wanted to know if anyone else had seen this. It was transparent glass with a reflection that when I moved my camera over at different angles, the slight prismatic reflection also changed. When I right clicked the object to see if I could find out more, there was no script in it and the object was set to Media. When you don't move your camera, it does not change, only when you pan over it. I'll probably have to go back and beg the builder to tell me their secret but it was a wild affect for glass.

You can also go to mouse looks when you close the chat window and type in M or if you scroll your mouse forward. Mouselook is required for most weapons.

It's common on most MMO's since the assets are already installed in your PC when you download the game. With SL those assets reload each time you enter the game. That's why most MMO's are multi GB in size where the SL application is around 40Mb.

More than likely the skin will be your issue. A good skin on a bad shape will usually look better than a bad skin on a good shape. Also, if you start with the skin, you can shape your face to fit that skin where you can't change your skin to fit a shape. You may want to try some skins that come with shapes then modify the shape to suit your preferences. Edited Note: Your skin is perhaps the most important component of your avatar and worth the little extra it may cost to get a good one. Make sure you check out the better ones and don't try to find the cheapest option as this is something you will have to live with for a while.

Personally, I hate them. I don't even spam my customers with group joins or landmark givers when they go to my store. If they want a LM I have a giver they can click. If they want to join my group, they can join from a kiosk in my store. Lately, I've been getting a ton of spam from stores I only visited and have never purchased from nor joined their group meaning I never opted in for their spam. When I get spam like that, I pretty much guarantee I wont use that merchant. I also mute them.

I don't want reliable delivery. I don't want priority in search just because I pay for a classified as I don't want those who don't advertise to be below me in search. I don't want permanent IP bans on well known griefers and cyber bullies I don't want gambling in the game since it brings too much money into the in world economy I don't want Direct Delivery any time soon but most of all.... I DON'T WANT THEM TO TOUCH THE AMAZING AND FAIR REVIEW SYSTEM!!

I don't think anyone answered your question as it's doubtful anyone understands it. What do you mean by transportation? Are you referring to teleporters? And, what is a magic couch or a magic bubble? What is it you want to do and compatible with what?

To add to Rolig's comments, it seems that anything over 4 items in your cart usually results in problems.

Teleports are always problematic and you may just have to wait. Or you may also have too many prims or scripts on. Try to reduce your prim count and your scripted objects. You can also log out and log in to the region you want to go to. I had a similar issue with the older version of Firestorm. You may want to upgrade to V 3.3 if you have not already.

Actually, there are many who sell houses in SL just on MP and not in world. Not totally effective but it is done. You can also make a demo house. Like with any other demo, just put demo all over your textures and make it no mod. Your idea of a rev share rental is also an idea that is done many times and I myself have offered rev share demos however, as a sim owner, no one wants to give up space for a product that does not produce revenues and as such, most rev share retail locations have the ability to hand pick the best of the best since there is little to no risk to the merchant. Just some thoughts you may want to consider but in the end, I am sure you will find a way to get your products to your audience.

You get a house, a small stipend each month and better support. You also have the ability to buy linden land though you can still buy private sim land without a membership. Sales go up and down as with all commerce but during the period you mention, I saw some fairly consistent numbers. I was actually more surprised with my holiday sales as they where lower than normal.

Why not put up some samples of your photos? Never hurts to show off what you are selling.
