My husband has diabetes and COPD, is over 60. I bought disposable gloves for him, he won’t wear them. I keep my two grandkids after school — one of whom keeps fingers in his mouth or nose at all times unless he is wiping them on something. And I am pretty sure what’s left of our and everyone’s retirement savings will be gone once all the dominoes fall. Anyway I thought, well, I will have to babysit and probably homeschool them at their house but I now have realized, duh, if I get the virus I could give it to my husband, so not only he but I have to self quarantine. So where is my daughter, a single mom realtor,, going to find child care, esp when the schools close? How is she supposed to work? How is anyone with kids going to work? If the gd President had not declined WHO test kits we would be able to test to see if someone is infected, but I have no alternative but to assume everyone is.

The problem is the hug needs be for sad things as well as good. Unless LL is willing to add two.

I am thinking LL seems to be ignoring our heartfelt pleas because they can’t decide on what the button should look like. And when I looked for an all purpose hug icon I could not find one. How about some suggestions?

Well there are always good reasons to cry. 🙂 All my life I have not been much of a crier. Not any more. Every act of kindness I see makes me cry now. With the world quickly devolving into an increasingly dangerous @#$& show it makes me more grateful for simple kindness. If anything can save us, it’s kindness.

So heart wrenching, Cindy. I am so sorry. If you take a break of any length from SL, however long, I hope you will stay in this forum.

My husband is severely bipolar, takes a huge cocktail of meds. But he is a lucky one because I keep him well supplied with cannabutter cookies because when he comes to me looking stricken, confessing the blackness of his mood, I just inquire whether he has had a cookie yet. Invariably he has not. He forgot., So off he goes to give that a try. And within the hour I hear him singing. Also I tell him this: when you find yourself in the bottom of a hole, look for the door out. It is there, and you always find it. Always.
