Horizons is great... I just wish the resource pack was better. The entire pack is no transfer and contains a grand total of 2 textures!

I've known Yavanna Llanfair for years (the user that owns and maintains the pods which tour the grid). My first land on SL was near one of her pod stations and I used her pods frequently to explore what was in the area. Thanks to her pods I found a great place by the name of "Wicked Beauty Light Shows" which quickly became one of my favorite shops in SL. I've never seen her pods get stuck anywhere or been annoyed by them unlike the other cars and buses I have seen. Even now years later I still use her pods, the last ride I took was a tour of some of the water sims which showed me a few builds I've seen before and a few I never knew existed (including one that was underwater). Your own chat transcript shows how rude you are to people, starting a conversation with the words "Get your crap off the highways of SL" and not even saying hello. Do you really expect anyone to ever listen to a word you have to say when that is how you behave? You think the spam bots saying racist messages and pretending they are controlled by you give you a bad name but then you go and post chat transcripts showing what an ***** you are. The first time we spoke, I sent you a message saying hi and rather than saying hi (or any words for that matter) you sent me a link to a blog post which made no sense to me and then after that you never said anything and instead just posted the chat log on your blog under the title "Clueless Gits and Good Samaritans: Responding to Griefing".

And yet your own ban list is publicly available at your office. I am just trying to get it into your head that just because a number of functions can be used together for malicious purposes, doesn't make those functions bad. Next are you going to say the llGiveMoney command is bad and should be removed because someone can send you a scripted item which requests permission to send all your money to them. Show me a "visitor log" which allows you to track the position, movements and items looked at and I'll switch to that. All a visitor log will do is tell you who visited your parcel/sim. Some may give you more detailed information eg. visit length or count however the highly detailed positional data available to players and bots is much more advanced than scripts have access to or can process in a timely manner. I also never stated any of my use cases were for mainland. I had large experiences in mind while mentioning them as it is more useful to know if an entire corner of a sim is not being visited rather than a part of a small parcel. Sure, but all of these systems deliver messages to the staff's local chat. If your staff are somewhere busy these messages can be easily missed, whereas a bot will deliver these messages to a completely separate IM window allowing these messages to be read even if they are at a crowded event with a lot of people typing. These systems also don't allow multiple staff to send IM's to customers, IM's allow these messages to be found in customers chat logs easier if required, it provides a single source for all staff to contact customers from, and once again allows these messages to be noticeable when local chat is busy. Do you have any evidence to support a claim that these bots are even looking for groups in a particular theme? They just hit any open group. As above, what difference does it make if it is a rental group or not? Bots can and do spam any open group, not just rental groups. It's not that hard to get a list of large groups. As for telling if a group is open or not, this is trivial for a bot. If you however mean when you change what the group title of a role is, it requires other people to relog to see and set that new title... It doesn't do that either. I tested it however did not record it as it would require more pixels and even longer to upload. Either changing the currently selected title and saving or clicking the refresh button will cause the new title(s) to show. Firestorm has it, I know other viewers have it too. If your viewer doesn't then I suggest you submit a feature request to the developers. Thank you! That broadcast tool is the worst way to notify a region of something! And any mainland that is abandoned or owned by LDPW is also rented from the company that owns the datacentre the servers are in. Whats your point? Because a long message written in multiple language is really better than a short IM from a bot written in a language you understand. Frankly if I get any message sent in multiple languages I am likely to ignore it as spam no matter where it came from. The time spent programming the bot is easily saved over time. As above. Have you ever even made a suggestion or feature request regarding this? I mean a proper one sent via the correct channel to the right people, not just a forum post or a blog post about it.

Just because that string of events used in that way may not be a "valid and good use case" doesn't mean the individual actions are bad. A bot can be used to teleport between regions logging performance, visitors, repeat visitors, tracking where your visitors are going so you can improve the experience. It can retrieve the names of visitors so you can see who your returning and regular visitors are. It can send messages to people eg. upcoming event information to people who have requested it, notifying multiple staff when a visitor requests help allowing a faster response time, allowing multiple staff to send messages from a single support account without accessing SecondLife or sharing login information. These are just some of the potential "valid and good use cases" for these features. Just because some people chose to use them for bad, doesn't make bots bad. But then, I don't expect much from someone who clearly has no clue.

That explains why someone thought they could get away with trying to extort L$1955 from me. They probably do it all the time but I'm no idiot.

I have an existing Rental agency which has been going strong for over 5 years already. The business is already profitable and turns a profit every single month. We currently own land in Bay city and Nautilus and have a bot for direct group invites. I am currently looking at expanding and I am looking for a business partner to help with this.
