No need to jump down my throat. Simply giving you a heads up for when others do. ;-)

As others have said, many of these are test grids, and are used by Linden Lab for test or other purposes. Some have also been used for specific tests, such as Vaak for the old "Gridnauts" testing (wasn't a lot there: mainly just a copy of Lusk and Ahern). The only ones usually open to Residents are Agni (the "Main Grid," aka the place known best as "Second Life") and Aditi (the "Beta Grid," where all the public and private beta tests tend to go on, including the mesh beta, the severe updates, etc.)

Some useful information for you. :-) "Similarly, some of the first educators and researchers in SL were a bit clumsy in their approach. There were early incidents in which Residents felt—rightly—that they were being spied upon or treated like guinea pigs rather than human beings. Imagine how you would feel if an entire class of students set up right next to your vacation hideaway, left trash lying around, logged your conversations, and posted them on the Internet with criticism and mean-spirited comments. This is exactly what happened to some early Residents. Things have improved greatly in the years since then, but sometimes SL Residents are still subject to that kind of inconsiderate behavior. For example, a constant stream of researchers (often students) posts on the Second Life official forums requesting that Residents please take their surveys. Most of these surveys include the same questions that have been asked over and over. Often they aren't spell-checked, or refer to SL as a game—a sure way to irritate a substantial number of Residents. Some Residents make a hobby of critiquing these surveys, pointing out how the questions and their wording make it clear that the researcher isn't familiar with Second Life. Some post outright that they are sick of badly planned surveys and suggest that the researchers log in and do their own research. I suspect part of it is because the "starter" avatars are scaled smaller, too. So that's what many gauge themselves against.

That did the trick - thanks!

I gave this one a try as it pretty much fits the bill on a project I was working on, Unfortunatey, it returned an error. "Unable to give inventory list: Cannot find destination" Test included trying to sell two items in the box @ L$10, with a 0.1 split.

Yes it is! They're great little flights. :-)

G'evening an G'mornin, all! Well, I've been putting these regularly over at "Just Ignore..." on Second Citizen, but no reason not to put the in "Just Ignore..." here too. Most of my weekend was spent buildin, an I don't have much to show of that all, but I can share a couple other things! F'r one - an this actually happened before the weekend, but I did't share it here, there was an SL Kids Choice awards last week. An I was given a lifetime achievement award. Which seems kinda silly, given in SL I'm only 8 years old an all! Anyways, here I am, gettin my award: I also went off an explored Bentham Hollow with my sis. We also dressed up in fairy outfits f'r the trip, too. Cuz we could. Finally, the three of us went off and explored Forgotten City. Which is awful amazing. An that's th' weekend! Hope ya'll had fun too, an have super weeks ahead! -

We also have a 7 Seas (and Neo-Realms!) fishing camp on Livingtree, with unique customs and stuff. Also, a weekly fishing contest at 6:30 or so every Saturday night. :-) http://slurl.com/secondlife/livingtree/60/40/24/

Creating Seamless Textures
Marianne McCann replied to Lexie Linden's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
Here's a handy photoshop tutorial on doing seamless wood textures... -
1. do you have all clothing layers off? is there anything like a tattoo layer on your avatar? 2. are the blue strips part of the skin in question? Some demos will have markings, not sure if this is like that 3. Have you tried rebaking? https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Rebaking_textures

No, that project appears to have been fully shuttered. Perhaps at some time they'll work that into some future project, but that's a big unknown.

Yes, likely using an attachment that moves the avatar on or against your avatar. First option, of course, may be ot ask them to stop -- which I doubt they'll do. Then Help > Report Abuse comes to mind. Also, the easiest and quickest way to avoid pushes? Sit down. It won't keep them from doing a stand on your avatar thing, but will stop the push. It will also make you far less interesting to mess with for them. Sorry there's not a quicker and easier answer from me.
