  1. I think you are right, I bet that's prim eyes. The quick solution is to take off the prims and just keep the system eyes that should have the same pattern. If it's included system eyes. Editing prim eyes can be a bit tricky. I found it was best if the creator supplied different sizes. If not, Phoenix viewer allowed me to type in the size under editing the eyes. It means that when one eye had perfect size, I just typed in the same size for the other eye. Same with the placement, I moved my eyes up a slight bit.
  2. Well, 2 years is a long time in SL. Plastik has many similar styles. You can take a look and see. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/25375 And Dark Eden has their "Lilith" set. http://darkedenplaza.blogspot.com/2009/05/new-lilith-mega-sets.html Links may be NSFW, at least in conservative jobs.
  3. Hi, first of all you must understand that people buy land in SL and do what they want on their land, as long as they don't break the TOS. The land owners can eject anyone, if they decide thay want to eject and ban all with blue eyes who refuse to change to brown eyes, they can. They pay a lot of money to LL for their land, why should they not set their own rules? It is like in RL, if you have a nice formal party and a stranger in dirty jeans insist of coming in, they can refuse to have him there. Places in SL is private property. If the club has a dress code, they can eject all who don't follow that code. Here it was obviously human avatars only.
  4. Oops, looks like this thread is dead? I better post more undead looks. Vampire roleplay in SL has a bad name to many, much because of spam bite requests. Imagine you are an amazing roleplayer. Your carefully typed out plots has brought you to the throne. But your minions look better than you... even the fool has a sexy avatar! But you can't buy much §L... All you have is a few 100 you got in tips when you tried pole dancing before you found this roleplay. World's End Garden has some impressive gowns. Join the group and get 2 that can be mixed, and 2 fantastic headpieces. They are not new, but they are always new to some, haha. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Heaven%20Lake/69/120/21 The stockings and shoes isn't just your taste, but these boots are only 19L from the marketplace! https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/PROMO-Vida-02-Black-Boots/1998185 There you find the fishnet leggings https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Curious-Kitties-FREE-Fishnet-Leggings/1828371 and the bloody lips and parted lips, one set is free and the other is only 1L. You have to go through a ton of junk to find the good stuff, but it's worth it IMHO.
  5. Really good! You look muscular, but not too much! :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:
  6. It can be a bug. I have had this problem sometimes, when objects change permission. In your inventory, it will show as modifiable. When you rez it or wear it, it changes permissions to no modify. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Debug_Permissions Since the hair is a freebie, try to get it from another store, and search for it on the Marketplace. (I hope it's not the black "Rocker male" hair... I am so tired of that freebie, lol)
  7. Yep... I think I will post more male looks, because it's simply more difficult. It's free and cheap stuff for females all over! For the roleplayer in you.... A good skin for males. What does it cost? 800 L? 1500 L? How about..... 25 L? Bird Next Door Shinobu skin, silver. Comes with shape and eyes too, not worn. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Karazhan/57/43/21 Open leather coat, SF design. Free in store. Run, don't walk, because this offer is for May, you don't have many days left. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Penryn/69/81/36 Eyes Poetic Color, freebie in Store, "Moroccan nights" Hair, hairbase and chest tattoo from MAD hair. The tattoo is found on the freebie wall, top. Take TP to "Freebies". Tattoo layers: Hairbase (as mentioned abowe) + Coca & Wolf "Bruises + Fangs, The Warehouse. Both 1 L, found on the Marketplace. Finger Tape: Luck Inc, 1 L Sword "Fenrirs tooth" Super Possessed, free in store Necklace: Find Ash, group gift in store. Join group and click board Pants: Phoenix Rising, 25 L. You can find free black pants too, but these has a better texture than most, and sculpted cuffs. I could not find acceptable male shoes or boots, so I used the foot parts of J's engineer boots. They are an old freebie and not available. It's possible to use the Edge Grafica boots here too. Belt: Sey, group gift in store. Join group and click board
  8. I am really picky with my avatars. I sometimes use a male avatar, because female looks is so boring after a while. I don't know what problems you run into with the hair, because I can't remember that I had problems editing a hair to fit the head. The most difficult hair for me is Sixty-nine, since the creator models it after a really small head with almost no backhead. I have to edit just parts of it and also move the hair a bit, not only size it up. But I can fit it. Some hairs is more tricky than others. I would try to find hair I could size up to fit the head, not choose a shape with a smaller head. One of the jokes about SL avatars is "pinheads". I think Truth male hair is made for a head size 60-65?
  9. Try to look at Ocean Blackthorne's photostream on Flickr. The skin he use in his "Kimono" serie is really special. It is from PK skins, they have many different ethnic skins and also not "pretty beefcake" avatars, but mature and rough looking skins. http://www.flickr.com/photos/oceanblackthorne/sets/72157623283226193/ But he don't offer any free skins. You can get lucky and find a Midnight Mania skin at Tellaq, but it's not one up all the time. Tellaq has many african skins, but quite a few european and one or two asian ones.

I was thinking more young but not too young.. with messy hair and a decent build, not too buff As far as search goes, I wasn't finding that great of quality stuff out there, is why I asked for recommendations I misread your post, sorry! :womansurprised: I thought you had tried to enter the store names in search and couldn't find them. I use 2-3 different viewers, depending upon what computer/laptop I use, and I find search in viewer2 frustrating at times, hehe. I could offer you a shape I have for my male avatar, one I totally reworked from "Rocker male" in the library. You will look shorter than many male avatars, it is not real life height but absolutely not like the tallest male avatars. These shapes look very interesting. And they are cheap, worth to test them? https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/40085: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/40085 and some more. This merchant sell shape with his skins, but I am sure he can sell only the shape if you try the demo and don't like the skin. I think his male avatars have a very attractive look, lean and muscular in a realistic way, no abnormal bodies. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/18177

  12. Hm, I really don't need scripted colorchange. I have my favourite colors that I buy. I know that there are some really lightweight scripts out there that don't lag down a sim. So if you just leave the clothes modifiable that would not matter much for me. On Marianne, I have stopped buying fatpacks, because it is more fun buying something new than using the old pair of shoes. Same with skins. I buy new ones before I use more than 2-3 makeups in a pack. I also see that the scripted colorchange jewlery is really not much used. I use silver and don't care so much if it's 17 other metals in a menu. Options like rolled up/down sleeves and open/zipped jacket is really fantastic, that would be a big plus for me. Mr. Poet includes a lot of such options. I mix 2 sets in the picture abowe, the peacoat comes with a fancy shirt with ruffles and a dandy vest. I used the layered shirt from the work shirt set under instead, to get a tougher look. All the clothes is very mix'n match friendly. But that's me, maybe you should listen more to the "real" men, hehe.
  13. I did this freebie look almost a year ago. But, I checked that you can still get the skin and boots! Those things cost a lot of money and is hard to find. I was challenging myself to make a male look who should be a bit "different". Good free male stuff is really hard to find, but it gets better! Newbie style challenge - The White Tigger Skin, ears, tail & whiskers: White Bane boy neko skin (free from marketplace) Eyes: Ephemeral Neko, group gift in store Hair: A&A Dizzy hair 1 L from marketplace (*) Tattoo: !K&L! Faded tattoo, 1 L from marketplace Tank: Moloko punk off, free in store Piercing: (is hardly visible) Safety mouth piercing, also Moloko and free Pants: Sey Union Cross, groupgift, free in store (*) Belt: Super Possessed, Alchemist's belt, free in store. Also a plain belt and gadgets I didn't rez in the freebie pack The red tartan hanging from the belt is also Sey, part of Afghan stall (*) Boots: Edge Grafica, 1 L from marketplace Sleeves+armwraps: "Shaman" part of outfit from Lucky Chair in Super Possessed Gloves under armwrap is a free gift in !KMADD, SF leather gloves Collar: Manticorp male neko collar, a whopping 10 L! (*) Hair tinted, the pants edited shorter and the tartan prim is moved to a new attachment point
  14. I just love to get Mr. Poet clothes for my male alt. Only problem I have is that the creator don't make enough stuff! I am not sure if you would call this a middleaged look (But, but, I am middleaged! Just not male!). Good jackets, prim collars and cuffs, and superb texturing. Not scripted, fully modifiable and lots of options.
  15. The latest skins I got for my male alt was Abyss Identity. Like this, just normal version, not zombie. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/TheAbyss-SKINID-1208-4-Zombie/1546353 And Ispachi, "Bjorn". Both these skins are sold with shape and genitalia included, the Ispachi one is even scripted. This is really a good deal, since you easy spend several hundred §L to be "complete", and have to colormatch it too. Maybe you can't get a really close match and buy another one, trying to see if it fits the skin better. I must admit that I haven't tested how good they look nude, but the male bloggers seem really happy about the equipment. Link has a NSFW picture. http://mensslfashion.wordpress.com/2011/02/17/76-rockin-at-ispachi/
  16. Tellaq can have a skin in their Midnight Mania. I am not sure if it's a skin in the MM now, but worth to take a TP over there and look. The MM is over one of the doors, first floor.
  17. Glad to see one guy who can reply, hehe. It's not so many that posts here. I hope that you will sell your stuff modifiable, because I know someone who is looking for male clothes but has a shape shorter and heavier than most SL avatars. No modify prims with resizer is useless for him. It is smart to cater for both those who prefer to edit manually and those who only want to use a resizer. Get a good resizer script but leave the items modifiable, that way you will please most people.
  18. Hi, can you describe what you mean with "get into any rooms"? Is it closed doors, or do you mean other things?
  19. I agree with the other posters here. Remove the name. If you seriously want to "grief a griefer" you can find out that you are banned from SL. Fill an Abuse report and let Linden Lab deal with it. But I am curious, what is he doing? He just teleports in? If you rent land or have bought land that somebody owned before you, they can still have set their "home destination" to that piece of land. If they are lazy and don't bother to search for an Infohub to set as a new home destination, they will pop in there every time they log in at "home" or push "home" button. Have you talked to this person? Asked him why he comes there? Does he hang around, or just leaves immediatly? And do you have some security orb installed? Can you set up Ban lines, is that allowed in the covenant?
  20. What I do, is editing the face shape and eyebrows to try to refine the crude facial expressions. The full smile makes the eyes squint and the lips are curling up. Yuck. My solution there is to make a "smile shape" with wider eye openings, and a slightly pout to the mouth (grumpy). This really helps on the smile expression. I save it as "smile shape" and change shape just for photos. Open mouth attachments in form of prim teeth or painted on teeth on tattoo layer can also give a new look to the face. I also tweak the mouth shape when I use these. More upper lip and fuller mouth. Finally, there is a setting for the avatar called "slow motion" where your avatar moves slowly. I think it is under the advanced menu, but it is different from viewer to viewer. If you play an animation and ends it, the face changes back to normal slowly. If you are lucky and stand ready, you can capture a more "normal" look. Let us say you play "open mouth" and edit the eyebrows so you look angry, you can capture an angry look without those weird eyes. Hope this helps, the avatar mesh and facial expressions is really clumsy and a pain to work with.
  21. DrakyDarkstar wrote: well we checked, my friend didnt get anything, so i guess theres somekind of error there, ill wait a while longer to see if the money comes back or whatever, i did change password anyway. As long as your transaction history shows that your money has gone to your "friend", it is not possible to compromize that? Like sombody says, you can rez a device that tries to take your money. It is not possible to script it to send money to one avatar, while transaction history shows another name? I still think your "friend" got the money and will not admit it. Defriend and mute, I doubt that your "friend" will give you your money back.
  22. *smiles* I forgot to say that you should google SL + tutorials. It is many videos on Youtube, and many has written guides and starter helps. Unfortunally, many of these tutorials is made a few years ago, before the viewer interface changed. This can be confusing! I think this is a good blog for starters: http://www.sl4nowt.com/blog/ Read on the right side, you will find tutorials and links to other helpful articles. Scroll down a bit and find slurls to newbie places like http://slurl.com/secondlife/Help%20People%20Island/128/128/2 where you can ask for help inworld.
  23. I wonder if you are still in Basic mode? No need to create a new account, you will have the same problems. As long as you are in basic mode, all you can change is the starter avatars in the library. You say you bought a new skin, did you manage to put it on?
  24. I think you will have to wait until SL allows to upload mesh. That's been talked about in over a year, but now I heard that something is going to happen late this month. Since it is not started yet, no idea what it will cost. I am sure it will be expensive in the start, and then the creators will start to compete against each other and lower prices.
