All that hardware makes fo a great Second Life Client Platform. The Lumiya app works best on multi-processing smart phones like the Motorola Moto X & G series. I have used it on both of these classes of Smart Phones and it works incredibly well. These phones have quad-core processing on them and a high end GPU for superior graphics rendering.

Rick, I'm sorry, you're completely our of luck with that PC. It does not meet even the lowest minimum requirements for Second Life, specifically the graphics capabilities. The Dell Inspiron 1525 - Pentium Dual Core 1.73 GHz - 15.4 - 4 GB Ram - 320 GB HDD laptop is a business graphics only product. It has no ability to render 3D content whatsoever. It is very old technology as well coming into production in 2008. You will need to buy another laptop or desktop to use one of the 3D Viewers for Second Life.

BTW - if this is a Laptop then you may need to perform the following: Laptop Users: Laptop versions of supported graphics card may work but are NOT officially supported. You can try the steps below on how to make your laptop dedicated graphics card, the primary card: NVIDIA: Please open your NVIDIA Control Panel and click on 'Manage 3D settings'. You should be able to see the drop down list for 'Preferred graphics processor', please select 'High-performance NVIDIA processor' then 'Apply' at the bottom.

If I may ask.... Why would anyone be upset because Oculus technology is not current in SL? Oculus isn't even ready for prime time yet. It's still experimental and barely supported across a slew of 3D platforms. It looks great on the showroom floor of the Tech Conferences until you walk virtually to the edge of the demo. Be a happy experimenter and in a few more years when it is well and truly integrated and married into your favorite 3D space and you can say "You were there, back when Oculus was new as prehistoric dirt." Just saying!

Well that was a fun week. I had to wait 6 days to get my Limit Sell fulfilled at L$256 / $1USD. The reason? Of course for regular folks who want an immediate fare [a subjective floating exchange rate in most cases these days] there is the frustration of getting the spot exchange rate instead. The LindeX is like budgeting in real life these days. Plan your selling activities accordingly.
