  1. I remember there used to be a web site entirely dedicated to these pictures, which were in that case mostly taken at Tempura. Not sure if that is still around. Seemed like an odd hobby to me. Edit: I think when you land at Tempura even now, you get a warning about this.
  2. Make one outfit with just your body stuff that you use as your 'base', then when saving any future clothing outfit, delete those base items from that, so that you have a clothing outfit that is just that, only clothing. Replace body parts in base outfit. Done. That will at least solve this for the future.
  3. No one said that, the customer is free to remove payment info, LL are free to close their account.
  4. Hi cousin Lillith! Deadwool is absolutely top quality in how it is made, I have the Hart suit too and their coat that goes with it, a few other bits probably. What I do find though is that for my taste, their suits look just too real which contrasts to me with the level of realism I have reached (and strive for) with my avatar itself. L&B works better for me. I'd definitely recommend to check out both makes. Now I am off to look critically at my sleeves
  5. Personally, I prefer Lapointe & Bastchild, even though they are not as flexible as the Fatewear suit you show., i.e. no shirt only option, jackets and shirt is one piece. For the three piece suits, same thing, the vest is always on. Options for wear are open or closed jackets and a variety of colors for pants, jacket, vest, shirt, tie, pocket handkerchief. Some suits have add-ons as mentioned before, but that is typically a feature of their older suits. The other option I would look at is Deadwool. I have seen no other suits than those two makes that I like. If there are others, I'd be happy to learn about them too.
  6. Thank you for sharing this, Scylla. I saw the clip and had to watch the movie and I loved it. Joan Greenwood, that voice...love it. And then Edith Evans and my dear Margaret Rutherford, best Miss Marple ever, here as Miss Prism. Very fun!!!
  7. I think the years have been good to me.

  9. Thank you for that explanation Ansariel, I am happy to hear that. I wonder if these 'constant changes' were really just the - admittedly not super-smooth - transition from Yahoo to Smugmug.
  10. I like that function a lot, I just share snapshots primarily to capture memories for my own enjoyment and I'd hate to see it gone. It is convenient, quick and easy, not something that another method will likely give me. I use FS so am not (yet?) affected. Is the Flickr sharing from FS a transaction just between FS and Flickr or does it use the mentioned SL backend that is yet to be removed and will then cause the sharing from FS to break too?
  11. Ah sorry, it seemed like an option that could possibly help. So I guess the solution, barring any better idea, is to launch SL before establishing the RDP session. Could perhaps be done with a scheduled task, psexec, powershell remoting, etc.
  12. Try if you can launch it in your RDP session if you use the --noprobe switch. See http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Client_parameters
  13. Get the bar of soap out, that'll learn 'em!
  14. The timeline is my favorite so far. I was reminded that I am older than windlight and voice chat. 😀
  15. @Grumpity Linden Why not? What is the taxation difference there?
  16. Looks like it was fixed, for me it works again!
  17. Yep, seems to be a global issue, I get the same and so are others I asked. I noticed it first yesterday or the day before.
  18. That was a good suggestion, Nalates, thank you. I heard of that before but did not think of it in this context. I am however a very simple man with a modest eight attachments. I don't think any two of which attach to the same point, as best as I can tell. Also, the nails are not a separate attachment or item, but a part of the Bento hands of the Jake body. Thank you for your answer!
  19. Thank you Rolig, yes, the HUD/body allows me to turn the hands off and I could use my Slink Bento hands instead of the builtin Bento hands, that might be an emergency solution, but since I can toggle the nails back on easily enough through the HUD I did not consider that sort of option yet. I also much appreciate your gentle approach, not like Lindal with her enhanced interrogation methods 😁!
  20. Very recently it started that every time I change clothing like pants or shirts, but not for example shoes, the fingernails disappear. I can either cycle the fingernails button in the HUD, which remains selected when that happens or cycle the alpha for the hands and the nails reappear. This is the Jake 2.0 body. I unpacked a new copy of the body, redid the appliers and such, but that did not make a difference. This worked fine for a good while and started only the last few days. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I could try next to fix this little annoyance? Thanks!!
