  1. Yes, monkeys and apes make fine pets, some nut job thought it was a good idea to keep this little cutie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travis_%28chimpanzee%29.
  2. Merit Coba wrote:(...) Now it seems to me that naming a person means people need to have some solid proof to back up their claims because they can't just go around accusing other people merely on hearsay. (...) Hahaha! Rrrrright. Ignore the drama messages, but always remain vigilant and exercise common sense.
  3. i think you need this to apply the mod that you already bought to it: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Orange-Nova-Luddi-Lamb-White/4494231
  4. I can reproduce this on my W10 9926 test VM. Clicking on the Login link stalls the browser for a long time, eventually it does load the logon page for me though. But it takes a very long time, several minutes, for practical purposes, I consider it unusable. Compatibility view appears to make no difference. F

  6. In the christmas gifts I received, sent directly from the marketplace, the notes the giver entered were shown in the notification email that I received from marketplace. If that is how you sent your gifts, the friend should look in that email. F.
  7. By the powers vested in my by no one in particular (just like any other certifier) I hereby certify that you are a model. There, all set. F.
  8. kks, this refers not to your real age, but the age of your avatar. Many places in SL do not allow the newest avatars to enter, primarily in order to prevent new accounts that were just created for the purpose of causing trouble, from coming in and disturbing the place. Give it a little time and you will be able to enter those places, some may have a limit of 7 days, others of 30, some no limit, it is all at the discretion of the owner. F
  9. If picking up one coin pays you 0.05 L$ after 30 seconds, you would have to pick up 20 of these coins to receive 1 L$.
  10. "All Second Life Community Standards apply to all areas of Second Life, the Second Life Forums, and the Second Life Website." Posting anything ouside of the SL properties named above is not covered by the community standards, hence, no violation. Linden Lab cannot apply rules and policies that apply to properties other than their own.
  11. Two possibilties: LL are bad communicators and have not thought to tell users that they are not vulnerable LL are vulnerable and in that case they may not want to come out and tell people before their servers are remedied
  12. Not if it's a rotary.
  13. Hello Taira, I think the official downloads of the viewers listed in the Third Party Viewers Directory can be trusted. See http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory I would just stay away from downloads from other sources, I hear that there is a lot of questionable stuff out there. FH
  14. There is a Firefox download link on the mozilla.org home page, you can also go to getfirefox.com which will forward to the download page.
  15. You do not mention which specific Mozilla product you need, http://www.mozilla.org is the main site.
  16. Is this who you bought it from? Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
  17. I'd be very surprised to see any company publish that information for any of their online properties.
  18. And that, my dear friend, is why it's a good idea to read up on those reviews before making a purchase from a seller you have not dealt with before.
  19. That video is from 2008 and nothing has happened since, so don't get too excited. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vollee "As of this time, Vollee appears to no longer exist. Phone numbers for their California office have been disconnected and their website is no longer reachable. A Mirror of it also appeared but it has been removed as well."
  20. Yes. Make sure your video card driver is up to date.
  21. Yes, those 'possessions' are all stored on SL's servers. Uninstalling the software from your computer has no bearing on your inventory.
  22. Hello Queen, Take a look at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewer_Skins/Starlight. Hitomi Tiponi makes the Starlight skins, I really like the improvements to the UI they provide and they give a few color options as well. Hope this helps.
  23. Sorry if I state the obvious here, but have you actually installed the file that you downloaded when you were prompted for the update? The only scenario in which I can imagine repeated update prompts as you describe is if you were to click the download button but then not do anything with the downloaded program. So next time you start SL, it prompts again. The updates are not very frequent, so its is certainly not a succession of different updates.
  24. Hi Veekay, both Windoes 7 x64 and Windows 8 x64 will allow to run SL just fine, provided the graphics hardware is capable enough and the right drivers are installed. It is always best to use the latest drivers provided by the chipset manufacturer, e.g. Nvidia and not let Microsoft Update install their version. Personally, I favor Nvidia and would recommend the best card your budget allows and your requirements for how nice you want your sl to look require. hope this helps
