  1. Not status. Prims. The buildings and landscaping for a Linden home do not count as part of the parcel's land impact, so you get the whole allocation to play with. Which is a considerable boon, as usually the buildings on a parcel take up a considerable portion of the allowance.
  2. Well, that was quick. Immediately after posting I remembered PRIM_SCRIPTED_SIT_ONLY and llSetLinkPrimitiveParams. Set that to FALSE and bingo! I can't think of any way that flag got set in the first place, though.
  3. I think the server forum is the right place for this… Just now, for the first time ever, and without any action by me, a couple of links with their own sit targets and set to sit on click, have started returning the "No suitable surface to sit on" message, whether directly clicked-to-sit or right-clicked and sit selected from the menu. It's true that neither does have an obvious sitting surface, but they did work properly before. The items, both meshes, are linked to a larger linkset that has a mesh as its root, and includes an assortment of prims and meshes. I've reset the scripts, but to no effect. Is this a known issue? Has anyone else experienced it, and, if so, have they found a cure? Or is it Jira time? Any other suggestions?
  4. There was a third party website that did let you send an IM to a user in SL. I can't remember any details. It wasn't anything to do with Linden Lab, though. The website communicated with an in-world server that would send the actual IM. If I remember correctly anyone wanting to use it first had to click on the in-world server and set up a password so that they could be authenticated when they went to the website. If this isn't functioning any more, I guess it's because the people who ran it stopped supporting it. If the website still exists but doesn't work it's likely that it's the in-world server that's not working, maybe because the people who owned it decided to stop paying for the land on which it once existed.
  5. llGetObjectDetails (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGetObjectDetails) allows you to ask for OBJECT_LAST_OWNER_ID. If that doesn't match the required ID you can then delete the object. ETA: Doh! But I don't think that'll work for objects in inventory?
  6. In both the main forum front page and the sub-forum pages there's a link, "Create a Support Ticket", at the top right and down a little.
  7. Seriously, just mute. And sneak a peek when you need a laugh.
  8. There's landing points because art, there's landing points because affiliate vendors, there's landing points because "privacy", there's landing points because control freakishness, and there's landing points because inability to not use a feature when it's there and it's free. And then there's no landing points because holistic libtard remoaner Marxist freedom of movement socialist fun, convenience and usability. Feminism should, probably, get a look in there, too. ETA: I forgot to mention, and then there's no landing points because why on Earth would I want to?
  9. Slightly more info on Inara Pey's blog: https://modemworld.me/2019/05/02/lumiya-client-availability/
  10. About Land/Options: Build. You could set this to either (or both or neither) Everyone and/or Group. If you're not keen on allowing everyone to rez, you'll need to create a group (L$100) or use one you've already created, set your parcel to that group (About Land/General) and have your sis join it. She'll have to wear the group tag to be able to rez. I think I've got that right, but it's been a while.
  11. Unfortunately, you cannot set repeats, offsets or rotation for an animated texture. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetTextureAnim
  12. As far as I can see here, it's the guy who lent your friend the money who's in trouble, as there's no way they can collect.
  13. This web page has data on the exchange rate: https://secondlife.com/httprequest/homepage.php. It's updated pretty regularly: every few minutes, I think.
  14. My mistake. Not having a TP disco after less than every ten TPs to not having any after 50 isn't a valid observation.
  15. I've just completed 50 teleports between regions in about 15 minutes. A couple of times I got the "teleport failed" message, but was able to do the TP successfully after waiting about 30 seconds. No disconnections.
  16. The NOT operator has already been mentioned in this thread. In the original two year old post, actually. Which explained how to eliminate most demos from a marketplace search. Two years ago. And I'm pretty sure it was around for while before that.
  17. Does this mean I can't modify anything I buy in any way even if it has modify permissions? Or just that I can't invert stuff even if it has modify permissions? Which I can't. Except, I think, sculpted prims?

  19. Not sure why profile pics and pick pics need to be consistent with each other, but it would be nice if profile portraits were always displayed in the same aspect ratio whatever the context, and it would also be nice if pick pics and parcel landscapes were also displayed in the same aspect ratio whatever the context.
