  1. Oh, GenX had the misfortune of showing up right after Ebody Reborn, which was *very* popular, and then buried creators under a host of body mods that all need their own rigging. Reborn is actually a really great (if you ignore the terrible knees and total lack of definition in the legs) body, I just hate needing to wear a deformer to get my shape out of it, and the eBooty is out of control. It's the same reason I have dropped Maitreya, now, though. The Lara X/Petite X butt was lifted and... Bubbled. The shoulders are all slumpy. The wrists and armpits are *much* improved, but I can get closer to my old Maitreya Petite shape with Legacy Female than I can with Petite X. A lot of the bot stuff likes to search "popular" areas, though, no? I know I wear GenX a lot in more "RP" places, and have swapped from Maitreya to Legacy (not just for the delay in rigging the "new" 2k L$ V Bento I've already bought for three bodies to Lara by Elon but for hating the "improvments" that tried to make Maitreya more like every body the ones who complained about things like "linebacker shoulders" had already switched to Legacy or Reborn) in "adult" spots for support of things like INM and The V Bento.
  2. This is why something like a survey of your actual customers works a lot better than playing with bot data. A lot of the people I know who use GenX are modders, and are willing to pay a premium for things they can tinker with, we're the ones who buy a mod fatpack of an outfit for 5k rather than a 250 L$ single color nomod item when we are only going to actually use a single color.
  3. Honestly, you're probably being tracked more by those stupid "by body" unpackers than you are by bots. Those things are a plague, and it is terrible to need to unpack two or three bodies and merge the folders so someone doesn't say "Well, we have "all" unpacks but nobody uses your body..." Because we just unpack the whole box and then deleted the junk.
  4. Also note that Belleza and Ebody allow you to edit, modify, and rename your body. Legacy and Maitreya do not. You may want to try and look for the object maker rather than the object name when scanning the little bot army's infodump. It seems, from my own in person attachment scans, that more people actually *do* make edits to GenX while Reborn *can* be edited but most never do more than slap some mods on it.
  5. About fifteen minutes of playing around with the Lelutka Advent head, and a new outfit I picked up that actually fits GenX Classic, not the normal "me" but I like how it turned out and will probably play with this look a bit more to refine it.
  6. Ah, yes, totally the same to have a private area 3km up measuring only 12m x 24m (and not actually affecting anyone not *inside* the skybx) and to shut down the whole parcel at all levels even those you are not making use of and are outside of draw distance of any build. Totally the exact same thing! I get it, and believe you... Really XD As to your section of that typing rampage delivered with such... earnest fervor that it makes me fear you will one day have an aneurysm and faceplant into your keyboard before managing to hit send... You sure you actually are in SL and not just haunting the forums? I mean half the people I meet don't know they have a facelight on that could guide the shuttle in from orbit... You think most who search the MP for "free security" actually know how the item they rezzed works? I'd like to believe that but, sadly, the benefit of the doubt has been proven to be far too generous for most time and again. Never assume maliciousness where a lack of education could be the answer. I always *start* by thinking someone is a decent person and let them prove me wrong... Repeatedly... Withing a few minutes while I am off shopping and checking out winter builds from the destination guide
  7. Yeah, the skybox tower near my home starts like 50m off the ground, then ends at about 2500m... I usually don't put anything *below* 2000m unless it is part of a public build since I assume people will ba passing through under 500m. It also lets me, very easily, control zones with my orb so I can use a base level land orb for griefers, bots, spammers, stalkers, and one other... Then use a second orb to kick anyone who actually enters a private area. Keeps the people who seem to jump to any dot on the map then "TP to Avatar" landing on my head in my living room while I'm watching a movie out of my home, but lets the people who wander in off the Linden Road see what I have built (or had, I only have my own private space in the sky up now) without interfeering in my private spaces. They can send me a message from the ground and I can either invite them up, come down to show them around the area, or tell them to come back another time as I am currently occupied. All without turning purple and spewing spittle on my screen as I scream about home invasions XD
  8. I only send them an IM to ask if they *know* they are doing it. If they know I chalk it up to an antisocial nature and move on with my life... Sad that so few can manage this
  9. See, now, this I would love to see. A place with a few "common sense" rules like Belli has, but with more open design for people to actually build on, both commerical and residential.
  10. No, it can't eject from land not owned by the owner of the orb, or the group it is deeded to... It can spam people over the whole region telling them is is ejecting them outside of its zone, though... Which is a reportable offence They are crappy orbs, CasperSafe is well designed enough to not be in violations of the ToS, not all of them are. Sending messages to avatars outside of your parcel is against the rules, whether it is from orbs, or from badly configured "greeters" at roadside attractions. You are right in one thing, though, not worth talking to you at all. I just though I'd clarify my "lies" to others since you are so quick to make assumptions based on your own limited understanding of how things actually work.
  11. /me chuckles. Private property... You know RL planes fly over your home all the time RL. They aren't trespassing, they are simply passing by. Ban lines only go so high, though many orb the area over them in its entirety and don't set a reasonable kick time, some are even so incompotent as to set one and tell it to eject from the *region* when they own a tiny 1024 and then get all shocked when LL comes in to handle the abuse reports from all their neighbors they started screaming at for "trespassing" (sounds familiar, that) when their poorly configured freebie orb was encroaching instead. To think you own the entierty of the world from build limit to water table and then compare it to real life encrochment on your home is rather entitled. It is quite easy to incluse an orb with zones that protects your actual build from trespassing. It only take a little more effort, and a modicum of intelligence, to only protect the areas you use while letting people who have no interest in your stacked cereal boxes pass by without even noticing you rather than turning on AA guns and shooting at passenger jets leaving them to wonder just what is going on there to make someone so bloody irrationally paranoid. Sure, it's easier for someone to click a button and rez a free "security" object, but then they often get stuck on defense of their paranoia and start yelling and throwing attacks at everyone who disagrees with them
  12. So, let's call it unfortunate inaccuracy and delusions of omniscience, then? The ticket system grants anywhere from 5-120 minutes on landing, so your flat rate is both higher and lower than the potential range of times given to guests. Flatly calling someone a liar when you do not have the actual information? This is why I can never take *anything* you say seriously. Not just your entitled nature, but the attempted gaslighting by spewing incorrect "facts" as if they were true.
  13. Falling off that same old tired soapbox again must hurt even more than the first time? IIRC you are the same one too cheap to move to a private area that loves to scream about people who actually drive on the Linden Roads while promotiong massively obnoxious orbs and banlines clogging up the grid and degrading the potential for exploration and community. I'm talking about places like HBC, which is on a mainland parcel, and even with their tower to manage traffic eats up most of the region resources. It's not a party, it's a place for people to go stand AFK and show off their avatars in hopes one of the other silent AFKers will see them and maybe send them a message they can reply to when the person sending it is offline after the tower kicks them out an hour or two later.
  14. Another thing to check is if you use mesh "bits" a lot of them have facial animations varying from looking like you;re talkiing to trying to lick your own eyeballs. The V Bento has a "stop" option in it that has worked along with a "reset skeleton and animation" to clear most of the facial wierdness I've run into.
  15. Bay City is Linden, I think, but it seems to be owned in significant part by people hoping to score massivly overpriced parcel sales not actually *use* the land. Nothing kills a community faster than popping in and seeing half the parcels empty with just a fullbright box giving you information on how to buy/rent it from the absentee landlords. A few of the landlords put up a build, and stick to the style, even offering to *leave* the build for the buyer to use. It doesn't irk me like those "Land for Sale" boxes when I see them put some work into adding something to the area and, even unattended, being something to see there that fits with the surrounding theme. To be fair Zindra has a lot of public clubs there, all in the sky, sucking up the resources for the region with a zombie horde of AFKers standing around in complete silence filling up the region capacity. I honestly think even the massively underdeveloped roads and pathetically small waterways of the "Adult" continent could be put to good use in many of the RP activities popular in NSFW SL, linking related parcels on the ground, but almost nobody seems to do anything under 1500m there.
  16. I may be wring here but, from reading the region rating standards this is what I understand them to mean: With just a few clicks on your land settings you can have "adult" activities in "M" regions, only blatantly NSFW acts outside in plain view of neighboring parcels seems to *require* an "A" rating. I've had a dungeon and a "breeding lounge" on M rated land without issue (and I've had Lindens drop donations in the box in the main PG area while they were active so I would think someone would have said something if I was wrong here) you just need to make sure the area with "adult" activities is parceled off and the right check boxes are ticked in land settings so people don't see it accidentally or from neighboring parcels. With landlord rentals it seems those are *always* set so they are functionally "A" in "M" regions once you enter your own space. You can not, however, list adult activities in M regions in search. So if you're trying to run a public sex sim it *has* to be "A" or nobody will be able to find it, but that doesn't really affect private spaces.
  17. It's kinda a double edged sword, there... In order to build something great you need mroe freedom than Belli offers, but at least there you don't see glowing fullbight particle spewing monstrosities hovering over your nice quiet zen garden.
  18. I don't like the hips and butt, and absolutely loathe the shoulders. A few places look better but, overall, it looks like they listened too much to the people complaining about Lara while moving on to other bodies and just made something to "fix" things people still *choosing* Maitreya this late in its life cycle didn't have a problem with or actually preferred. To be fair, though, I had been looking for a reason to switch to GenX despite it not having as many clothes. Since only short (feet are the same, but it clips in the legs if they go up, same for gloves that fit the hands but not the arms) shoes and fingernails still fit LaraX and everyone is moving to the new body having a small wardrobe for a great *mod* body with features like Asymmertic BoM and a "Lite" version that loads so much faster than any other body... Well, now it makes sense to make the jump to Belleza's better (subjective, of course) body. I didn't do much with Reborn (despite being a very good, also mod, body) since the slider response was so bad on the low end, but GenX is closer to Maitreya where it matters to me than Lara X is, and I don't need deformers to get the Ebooty under control.
  19. This is me, no filters, straight screenshot of how I look in-world. I do set up my home with point and projector lighting, and use "shared environment" all the time, so my lighting is controlled by where lights are in my home. In this shot there's a celing lamp in the middle of the room in front of me so I have pretty even light falling on my face. The biggest thing that I find to add to the look of your avatar is to add BoM layers over the skin, not just use the basic one as it comes. In this picture I have twenty-eight BoM layers, though a lot of them are body alterations for shadows because I'm "petite" or to add lines to my knees or reshape my navel. I look a bit more "real" without makeup on, things like my eyebrows are pretty solid when I am made up, you don't see the individual hairs as well as when they are not painted and sculpted.
  20. Sadly there are *no* rules, or often even courtesy, on the mainland. Not only do they do things like this out of often sheer laziness, but some people maliciously buld to block others, and none of it is forbidden. The only thing you can do against them is send all their renters (most of them are skybox rental places) a summary of their bad actions and hope that it causes them to lose enough income to stop.
  21. Too many ad farms next door? I have to tell people who visit to derender all from X and Y because of the giant fullbriht glowing towers advertizing "your next job as a rental agent!!11" 😢 If I hadn't owned the roadside here for years I'd abandon (or sell to someone via the GTFO group who would actually use it) and try elsewhere.
  22. Yeah, those are against ToS, and I get them removed all the time by filing ARs on the people who do it.
  23. If the settings are bad it can be an accident, I get "Can not terraform X" errors all the time when editing my own land because it tries to smooth the land with the neighbor who owns a really old skybox rental place. They would never notice as they don't have anything on the ground and haven't logged in in literally years, but if they allowed terraforming by me I would have accidentally edited their land countless times in the two years I have owned their adjascednt parcel.
  24. Justice is doing some updates now, adding new bodies (and considering GenX Classic, which is my current favorite *undersupported* body) as well as changing permissions of clothes to have them be *mod* which lets you fix any issues with autohides and have accessories actually work with your avatar. There's not much in the way of options, I was looking at hoodies the other day and *all* of them *except* Erratic were cropped and Erratic only fit Maitreya + Petite. I don't mind the look for Ebody, since I use it for "adult" places with a more "endowed" shape stretched out to be six foot tall because being 5'6" with a realistic shape in SL triggers badly written and incredibly lazy "child detection" scripts, but I normally wear Maitreya Petite or GenX Classic Dainty or Legacy Perky to get a shape that looks more like me and seems "natural" when I see myself on screen. I have a taste for a more "Gothic" and "Victorian" style, though, and a lot of the makers who I did like are moving to "new" bodies but *not* the "athletic" looking ones. Insomnia Angel and Rabbit House were two I really loved, bot have switched to Ebody Reborn for new riggings and dropped Maitreya Petite, they were a bit less modest than I would like but were far better than most I had found. I don't blame them for being too short, though, the way mesh looks on me when I move has me aim for mid-thigh SL when I would be aiming for ankle RL. I've not had much luck with clubs, though, most of them are a mass of gesture spam that is flooding the nearby chat and making so many obnoxious noises you can't hear the music. Blackhearts isn't bad, neither is Coven, Satyr as well for an "A" rated club that still seems to have a more mature crowd, and Warehouse 21 jumps between "I like this" and "What am i doing here?"
  25. Raven Bell is also mod, which lets me put "hide" scripts in it keyed to hats/hoods/helmets with an off and on version. A lot of the "big" hair makers are nomod, even if you spend over 1k (Mina is 1050 L$ for a fatpack) on all the texturer options, so I've been using a lot of Raven Bell and Olive (ran into it on Happy Weekend and not only did it look good but it was mod even on sale) lately. Loved the Burley I picked up as well, needed tight braids for a statue avatar and they had them, plus even the small packs were mod, so I would drop a *little* tint onto the white to have it look like matte stainless steel. Love the designs there, though know that they are very bad about having any option to hide parts of them, my *almost* favorite hat has a little skull on it that looks very out of place and no HUD option to hide it plus even fatpacks are nomod so youcan't use built tools to set the transparency on the parts you don't want visible.
