Attention! Use of Red Cross mark
Katherine Heartsong replied to Hitomi Copperfield's topic in General Discussion Forum
Ahem ... Union flag. It's only properly called the Union Jack when it's being flown on the the jack stand of a royal naval vessel. Hence, Union Jack. -
Grant and corrupt a wish game
Katherine Heartsong replied to Ansiri's topic in General Discussion Forum
Granted! But it occasionally glitches and you wind up naked and floating a few feet off the surface of the planet you've arrived on and the store/civilization you thought would be there has moved, and there's only a For Rent sign there now. I wish I had a better grasp of SL scripting. -
My male alt is a source for his weekly stipend allowance. Nothing much more these days. I haven't let him loose in world for more than two minutes at a time for at least six months. He's cute and all, but can be so boring

LL are not acting against pedos in SL.
Katherine Heartsong replied to AmberJoyBliss's topic in General Discussion Forum
If this is the case, they'll get to it. It takes times sometimes. If LL had a 100 content moderators it'd be faster but they don't. I've found lots of hard core porn images in group descriptions and even profiles that isn't supposed to be there (profiles are supposed to be PG-rated) but it slowly slowly gets dealt with (if at all?), and reported what I'll assume were RL images of other activities I stumbled into in a group description when I was searching for a dog avatar before I found the amazing companion avatars from Rezz Room. That got reported pronto as well. Shudders. -
If you want to in world send me a pic of your rear, err, the rear, feel free! 🤭 I need to go back through my regular Lara one piecers in my Inventory to find exactly what I'm after look wise and share that out.

The front's cute and what I'm looking for, the back however is dental floss. Not quite the style. They'll be one eventually.

I didn't mean one thing like a single word, you add up a large series of attributes and similarities over time that are consistent if you were planning on trying to figure out who is who. Humans are nowhere near as magically random as we think we are, we all create highly recognizable patterns in our lives, including in the way we write and speak. I can't ever, for example, do an ellipsis attached to the words like this... since the typographer part of my brain that I've been using for 30+ years screams WRONG!!! I always ... always ... separate it from the words around it, the same way I always use en- and em-dashes correctly. If I tried fooling via an alt in the forum I'd eventually screw up and revert back to my way of doing things, giving me away easily.

4x2048sqm Sailable Unblockable Protected
Katherine Heartsong replied to Onur McLeod's topic in Mainland
Pretty piece of land. -
Adult is certainly okay I think sales-wise. My male alt (2048) just bought a decently priced A-rated parcel so that he/we/I can host a long-running tenant on 1024 of it and a new tenant on the other 1024. Not a ton of income but I'll have the purchase price paid off in less than 18 weeks so that seemed reasonable to me.

Thirding this. The same spelling mistake? The same way of spelling like "colour" etc? A distinct use of sentence case or ellipsis ... all easier to spot signs of an alt whose main is trying to hide the fact than engineering an IP solution. Being open about your alts (expect my male alt to thumb this post and speak to my great qualities shortly) is a far easier way of doing things unless you just need a way to relax and get away from the stress of 1,000 friends in world and need a night by yourself. Of course, most people associate alts = nefarious reasons for good reason.

Probably been mentioned in the previous 900+ pages but ... Can you all just grab clothing demos from popular events and for heaven's sake go home! and try them all on? Stop standing around in a full event for 60 minutes trying on every second piece of clothing in the event. Click demo, then get out! Others are waiting to get in! (I'm looking at all of you in the [sim full] Anthem even right this moment. Sheesh.)

Revalue the L$ -> $1US = L$100
Katherine Heartsong replied to Coffee Pancake's topic in General Discussion Forum
As someone who enjoys selling one-of-a-kind abstract art that takes me a few hours to do for the equivalent of $1.50, not sure even what's being discussed here anymore. 🤷♀️ 👋 -

Anyone seen any one piece bathing suits yet? I have two really nice bikinis for X, but a nice one piece is still on my list of must haves. Plus, really need JB to get one or two more gowns out in a simple style. Grabbed Marilyn but need one more.

Is Second Life the best metaverse?
Katherine Heartsong replied to Aristocrazia's topic in General Discussion Forum
I'm in the camp that SL is certainly a strong contender for the best example of what Blush said, with the small change I made to her words ... "a virtual world [singular] in which users represented by avatars interact, usually in 3D and usually focused on social and economic connection. It's one world though, isolated island unto itself. My definition of the metaverse are a huge number of virtual worlds like SL each with their own physical attributes and basic rules that allow you to move between them freely, bringing your avatar, inventory etc (where appropriate based on theme) much like thousands of websites you can simply navigate to. Everything from purely RPIng worlds, to worlds where the owners have made rules that you are merely twinkling glimmering balls of light that pulse and float around the environment with no physical structures or body. There'd need to be a standards org that helped define the attributes of the worlds, items, etc but build and explore whatever you like. Think a thousand unique SLs. All connected. -

Same. I managed to land in world after about 15 minutes of trying. Hopefully it's fixed. -
