  1. Hmm, well I just looked it up to see if it displayed like that for me, and I see two images there! Still no idea what the problem might be, but it might just be on your end for whatever reason. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  2. I think the browser LL recommends to use with SL stuff is Chrome, I use Opera GX myself and everything seems to work perfectly. I've seen a few threads about technical difficulties from Firefox users around here but you'd think if this was a browser issue then more people would experience it as well. If you go through with updating the listing with all the blank images, do any of them appear on the public listing page? Or does it not let you update the listing at all?
  3. This gave me a good laugh. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ What did you do once they did all that? Just log out? Block them? Pull a telenovela-style theatrical performance and demand a divorce?
  4. That's so odd, I don't think I've ever had an issue with MP images like that. I've only ever uploaded a small number of MP ads as in-world textures, so that's definitely not necessary for uploading the images on MP. Do you name your files anything strange, that could maybe be filtered as spammy or anything by your internet browser? Have you tried using another internet browser to see if it's the same issue?

Of course you're allowed to ask for help, but it's easier for everyone if you ask your question and explain the issue in your post, as well as put something relevant to the issue in your title. There's a good amount of really knowledgeable and helpful people around here, so you don't have to ask if you can ask.
  6. Hmm, I'd think that would all depend on whether the AO's HUD allows mod or not... when you piece your own together, you put the individual animations into the HUD along with a notecard that lists out what each animation file should affect. I assume full bought AOs function the same way? Right click on the AO HUD > Edit, then go to the Contents tab and see if you can edit the config notecard, or delete/add other single poses/animations from your inventory into the contents. If you can add things to it and edit the notecard, then you'll be able to change around and effectively edit the AO however you'd like by adding or replacing certain animations, but I'm still not sure if you'd be able to pull the original animations out and into your inventory to put in the Firestorm AO. If you can't add anything or edit the notecard, then I don't think there's a way to break it up... but I also have pretty limited knowledge and SL is wacky and nonsensical sometimes so, maybe there's another way of breaking it apart that I don't know about!
  7. In the email it said the survey itself was to find participants of certain demographics that they would later choose for interviews. The exact purpose wasn't shared (aside from the vague "help us improve the SL experience"), so they might be looking for specific types of people to interview for whatever they're looking into.
  8. me when I view people's lookat target render lines and hack into their pc to slightly move their camera
  9. That's awesome! I hear they'll send you thousands of dollars if you lend them your bank account, social security, routing number, date of birth, and credit card information -- so generous!
  10. Whoa, another demisexual cat-loving hardcore gamer? NO WAY. It's so cool that you work for an animation studio! That's always been something I've dreamed of doing~ ๐Ÿ˜ I also haven't really found a friend group in SL, I mostly either talk to random people or explore by myself or with my bf when he gets online. I've made a few cool friends here and there but it would be nice to have a group! Either way, I'm always up for more friends, especially more peeps into gaming, anime, and animation!
  11. I actually really like your hairstyle, it has some personality to it. Like Nalates said, you'll never find a single hairstyle that appeals to everyone. Sometimes we just aren't lucky enough to find someone we click with, and that's okay. You might return to that same place another time and find 5 ladies to dance with! As long as YOU like your hair/avatar and feel like it helps you express yourself the way you want to, that's all that matters.
  12. I'm pretty sure you would have to own the land that is hosting the skybox, if you want to own the skybox itself.
  13. My bf and one of my alts also can't access the adult section of the forum for whatever reason. Not sure why, and I've seen a few people asking about it on here but I don't think anyone's ever gotten an answer or figured out why. ๐Ÿ˜… You could always try submitting a support ticket? They might be able to unlock it for you, or at least tell you why it's locked or what setting you need to change.
  14. Like I said, everyone's totally free to their opinions on the questions. My point was only that these aren't out of left field and pretty much every consumer survey ever asks these same ones, copy-pasted. Like Ayashe, I also used to get paid to complete surveys to have money through high school or in between college jobs so I've done everything from psychological studies to "whats your first impression of this new prototype product" type of thing. Even if it was a survey called "how much do you like balloons" it would still want to know ethnicity/race, income levels, highest level of education, etc. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ They might seem completely irrelevant, offensive, goofy, etc but that's just how surveys are.
  15. To be fair, if you guys ever do any kind of consumer surveys like this one, those questions are asked almost every single time whether it seems relevant to the specific survey or not. This is an article talking about income questions in surveys: https://www.questionpro.com/blog/income-survey-questions/ "Income survey questions as a part of demographic questions are used by researchers to evaluate the financial status of the respondent. These type of questions can help researchers with information to find the right target audience, conduct pricing research, and many more." This is an article talking about the race/ethnicity questions in surveys: https://www.questionpro.com/blog/ethnicity-survey-questions/ "Ethnicity survey questions are one of the types of survey questions, which are usually included to gather demographic data to understand, what factors can influence the choice of the respondent and deduce a pattern. Ethnicity survey questions play a vital role in social science research as well as business research." Whether you find these types of questions suspicious, unnecessary, or morally wrong to ask, that's your business of course. But they're standard questions to be asked by any kind of market research survey. ๐Ÿ˜›
  16. Whoa, I absolutely love that hairstyle on you! The expression, the pose, the rings ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ your pictures are always pretty but I think this is my favorite so far.
  17. I think they were nuked pretty quickly last night, I went and napped for a couple hours and missed all the excitement. ๐Ÿ˜ด They were already gone when I woke up.
  18. I haven't really seen a thread just for gathering around to share stories & experiences, so I thought it might be fun to make! ๐Ÿ™‚ It feels like everyone here has been around in SL for a long time, so I'm sure y'all have some great stories to share! Since I'm still pretty new, I haven't experienced too much in-world aside from clubs and weird IMs but I always enjoy reading about everyone's memories when they come up in various threads. I'd love to hear all the happy, sad, weird/bizarre, funny, precious moments and have some good old fashioned bonding around a virtual campfire~ so what are some of your best SL memories?
  19. Thanks for reviving this, I hadn't seen it back when it was active. ๐Ÿคฃ I get not wanting to share all the ins and outs of a new concept in case someone comes in and swipes up your idea, but this guy is literally offering free land to people with apparently no strings attached, saying "trust me" and that's pretty shady. No one in here was overly rude, and there was certainly no trolling -- everyone seemed genuinely curious about the details and how this would work, which is completely fair. OP said they'd cover the initial cost of the land, because within a couple months it would begin to generate its own revenue. I think it's 100% fair for people (potential residents of this free land, keep in mind) to ask how this revenue will be generated, if not from rent. No one wants to go move into some new place, apparently have to sign some ToS contract or agreement, think they're getting free land -- then suddenly get booted in a month because the idea didn't pan out, or after a month they're notified that they must start paying some ridiculous amount, or their homes must be AFK sex hotspots, etc. If OP honestly has a way to offer free land to people, no fine print, no strings attached, no scams, no ToS-breaking shady stuff, then I don't see why he can't just come out and say "hey, I've got this concept based on this business model, here's my relevant experience, I'd need a community of about this many people to get it off the ground and I believe within a couple months' time we can generate the land revenue with this kind of business model". If someone sees it and wants to take his plan and do the same thing, then... great? More free land for everyone, yeah? Sorry I couldn't type the above message fast enough for your standards. ๐Ÿ˜ณ So cute when an adult thinks they're entitled to some random stranger's immediate attention and time.
  20. I've tried looking it up but I haven't found anything that explicitly mentions camming / looking at someone. The closest thing I can really find is the Community Standards > Behavioral Standards, where these two are listed: Harassment - Harassment can take many forms. Communicating or behaving in a manner that is offensively coarse, intimidating, threatening, or causes annoyance or alarm is not allowed. Invasion of Personal Space/Comfort Zones - It is important to respect the personal space of another user. We strongly encourage you to be mindful of your movement, hand gestures, and your avatarโ€™s positioning relative to other avatars. ( source: https://www.lindenlab.com/legal/community-standards ) I suppose people could claim it causes annoyance/alarm or feels intimidating/threatening (harassment) or that it's disrespectful of someone's personal space (invasion of personal space/comfort) -- but I feel like if the only behavior is camming or looking at someone, LL wouldn't really do anything about it (seems like it would fall under the broad category of resident disputes) unless it was accompanied by other behaviors such as spamming gestures or pushing/shooting or other griefing, trolling, etc.
  21. So what I'm getting from this thread is that I should absolutely enable others to see my LookAt and then just go people-watching out in public.
  22. Oh, yeah I don't think there's a way to make your name invisible to others or completely mask your avatar's presence. I don't think I'd want that though, lol -- while I'd love to run around in stealth mode, I could definitely see that being abused. ๐Ÿคฃ
  23. Most mesh bodies (if not all?) come with the ability to alpha specific sections through a HUD or equippable alpha thingy. You could go through and alpha all the parts of the body covered in clothing so you still look normal, but derendering the outfit would show that your body is invisible underneath. You could also use BOM underwear/lingerie that can't be derendered since it's applied to the body texture.
  24. Don't certain Xeolife enabled items disappear after consumption? The description of the script says it auto-deletes the item from your inventory once you've used it a certain number of times.
