  1. Haven't jumped on the Lara X bandwagon but those outfits are super cute, I will have to go to the event and do some shopping!
  2. Neat idea..do you have any plans to start a Discord group?Sometimes i can't log in, but can chat inbetween work and it's just easier.I'd love to share photography tips..
  3. Exactly how I feel, tweaking my sim or getting that Flicker pic IS kind of zen. Well said!
  4. OH! That's a good idea, I don't know why it didn't occur to me to do that..😆at least it'll screen out some..
  5. There's just been a lot of personal stuff going on in my life recently, and also with the state of the world lately..so I find myself logging in to SL more than usual-spending time decorating my sim, taking pics for Flickr(mostly soothing tropical themes)shopping and exploring beautiful sims others have created.Anyone else doing this too? Is it because we can control who we interact with? What we spend our time doing? My husband used to almost make fun of me when I roleplayed and spent time in SL when we first started in 09, but now even he is spending more time here lately.
  6. I agree the animations look really dated, but I haven't had "relations" in SL for years cause to me, there's so many other interesting things to do and see. I am amazed at the creativity of sim builders and people who sell in SL.I do wish there was a way to search popular sims and exclude the sex sims though..is there?
  7. Like someone else mentioned, that's the way the economy works.I have a small business in RL that is based on discretionary income(people don't have to buy, little luxuries) and due to price hikes in almost everything from postage to supplies-we have to (or should) be passing on at least some costs to our customers, but the problem is, because people don't HAVE to buy, some won't.There's a mental price point a lot have and won't go past that no matter if they can afford it or not. I don't expect anyone to feel obligated to pay my increases if they don't see the value or if they just think the price is too high..I have seen several other businesses throw in the towel because it's not worth it to them anymore, which is sad but that's just the way things go in a depressed economy. All I can really do is set myself apart by my quality or diversity of offerings as compared to my competition..
  8. Thank you! I missed the "advanced" button..great tip!
  9. Where do you find this info? I'm not seeing it..great idea!
  10. Oh yay! It's nice to "meet" another one..we're usually doing solitary things..friend me if you'd like to chat sometime!
  11. No problem here..I personally don't care how someone represents themselves physically in SL, it's the person underneath and how they act. If someone obscures their sex and gets into a relationship with someone not telling them, (race to me would apply here as well I think) I DO have a problem with that. Some people DO roleplay in a fashion different than their normal persona (say maybe Santa Ramona Valley or those other sort of RL sim?) that's why I mentioned it. Anyway, I don't want to offend anyone. My outlook in life (RL included) is do what you want, just don't hurt someone else.I thought your comment deserved a reply, but now I'm really "out"..
  12. I know as INFJ's we're only social when we have the energy for it, but it'd be nice to have some people to chat with and do activities with sometimes. I am a geek IRL and adore chatting about books, video games(Love Fallout and Red dead Redemption 2), some TV shows(I love the shades of gray kind like Breaking Bad or Walking dead where there's a lot of delving into the whys of people).
  13. Maybe the people that attend your bible readings would be a good start to making friends?I totally get how you feel though, but I am an introvert-I spend most of my SL time alone-shopping, playing "virtual Barbie", exploring beautiful sims as well as decorating my own, and taking pics. It's hard to find like minded people and if you feel like you have to, it makes things harder. Check out the SL destination category and hang out at the places you feel are most "you" and maybe you'll find similar minded people? Or, you could take a short break and see what it is you miss about SL when you're not on..Decorating? Exploring?Shopping? Avatar tweaking?Making friends?Just keep in mind, you don't HAVE to do anything..that feeling of logging in and having no idea why you're even on is a big problem even for me sometimes..I stare at my sim's sunsets while fishing way more than I care to admit.. Good luck!!
