  1. Same here I spend every extra bit of funds I get to buying linden dollars and uploading mesh content I could easily spend 50USD a week. My version of homesteading is finding new park bench to call home. I have several in my collection and I work in a random sandbox. When I first started I thought this world was extremely sketchy and my goal was to not spend any real money. Then I realized that I would have to start spending money to reverse engineer things I was most interested in learning how it was made and how things work. Took a few years to splurge on things I wanted just because, horses, yachts, props. I don't see this being sustainable for new users because they are going to realize this is going to take a lot of education, years in some cases. This would be for more experienced users, however, they are more savvy when it comes to land. I'm not really sure who this would benefit? I don't see anyone new wanting to pay that much for frustration. I would personally focus on new users figuring out some way to get them and us free personal space to work and grow so eventually they will want to spend money instead of running to a platform that appears to be more organized with more advantages to sticking around. It's sad when I'm in a public spot and a new users says where do I get my free home and then having to explain and i'm not one to try to herd them to a 3rd party home. There should be official places where users can evolve and have some sort of privacy.
  2. Hi, Here's the link to the LSL portal. I like to copy it and put it on a notecard and put with scripting folder in inventory to easily find when I want to script something quickly without fussing to find this link. Looks like there's updates to the LSL Library, neat. Here's the link: LSL Portal - Second Life Wiki In world for more hands on learning at your own pace, there's a sandbox that does not require group membership to use and learn with learning modules inside the large building I think around the 4th or 5th floor. It's the Ivory Tower Library of Primitives. Search Natoma in the map and wala. Lot of excellent educational resources there. Happy learning, don't forget to party makes the pain go away. Learn & party repeat and rinse.
  3. Great Lab Gab, Looking forward to Strawberrie's Mirror Mazes. I was excited for homestead. I don't really know what it is but I was thinking that instead of choosing a linden home at 2048 homestead is a little island off in the middle of nowhere with absolute privacy and prim land impact bonus because there would be no decorations more so for the users who work on content creation. I thought homestead would be included as a premium plus member? Maybe Strawberry & Izzy could create premium plus videos to put next to the premium plus package explaining how that works to avoid new user confusion. I've been around for almost 4 years no idea what a homestead is still.
  4. I agree, walking or running down a roadway feels like driving a vehicle on a bumpy road with flat tires. When we fly we never maintain consistant elevation its like forward equals move in z axis as well, that's annoying. I don't know if it's designed to be that way to reduce sickness. I watch a meta tour video and 5 minutes later I have explosive vomiting, for real I blew chunks the other day and felt real sick after had to lay down. I can stay in sl and move around for over 8 hours without feeling sick. I did noticed when moving east seems more studdery than moving west.

  6. Good value for 899L. Animated furnishings is a plus. I like the design of the build too. Decent. browses the creators marketplace shop a little more
  7. Waits for Ingrid Ingersoll to leave his parcel, creeps up to his garbage gets the model out and runs away. I think the cabin models are well built and cute. They are so cozy. Neat for little workshop in sandboxes.
  8. I love free stuff, had to give this one a second look, tentative pass. Throws blessed salt, clicks candy bucket, and runs away.
  9. I noticed that too yesterday was on a parcel that did not have that little no script allowed icon on the address bar but candy count was not updated until I left the parcel. I stood there for a while waiting and clicked the pumpkin again and it told me I need to leave in so many words lol. If/when it happens again i'll message quartz mole the location for troubleshooting.
  10. I'm starting to see a trend. None-the-less, thank you for the candy and merry christmas!
  11. In my opinion a major mistake LL currently does is allowing the public to view all user suggestions and bug reports through Jira. They are default set to public, savvy users have to manually change the suggestions to private after they are submitted and trust they are not changed to public at a later time. Anyone wanting to be light-years ahead of LL/SL would only need to look at the SL suggestion/bug reporting system. I do enjoy seeing my original suggestions being used in other worlds. And it's really special seeing ideas being used for second life's third party viewers and not the official viewer. Its almost like they are more concerned about maintaining their generic open sourced frankensimulators instead of second lifes. I have other thories about this operation that I do not feel real life safe expanding on. I have to go do laundry.

  13. My first found great trick or treat candy bucket of the season, woot! I'm not using lists, my strategy is to run around in random directions like real life. I was happy playing and then getting the participation prize at the end last year. Should be way more candy buckets out this year, still early more and more candy buckets will put out as holiday get closer.
  14. Larger camper parcels would be cool too.
  15. Could just be a halloween costume.

  17. My time in world is very short, getting less and less. This is for the future users.
  18. I'm thinking about future. New users will quickly figure out there is not an option to appear offline in second life. The users that will eventually graduate from roblox will go to meta (meta is working on setup like SL no VR headset required.) Wasnt that the big strategy SL has: get fresh users when roblox users mature? And the lucky ones who discover sl and login are welcomed by a world with "nothing to do" or you get extremely lucky and new person sees past the flaws and primitives becoming intrigued and wonders how it all works, follows every rabbit hole, ends up here. SL is very raw and judging by other posts regarding other worlds that are failing, when a user gets bored it's game over. When they feel like they do not have privacy game over. When they feel like a company who has been around for 19 years clearly has not invested their profits back into their product it's game over. The only thing SL has going for it right now is that it is confusing by design to what end, clearly not retention.
  19. what I mean by phantom is still visible but not physical. Imagine walking through a wall still would be able to see the wall but wall is not physical. I get what your saying, world of warcraft has been doing similiar for years. Pretty sure they don't have physical abuse complaints. Um could make it a bit more original and if bumped more than x make phantom, give the power to the user to decide how many times they would allow being bumped before phantoming. Lot of users stand around and wait to get bumped block walkways and such, just so they can AR and have meaning in their virtual life. I guess if SL wants to continue to deal with physical abuse until their game over up to them.
